We…read morewere concerned with being too old to learn and a little self-conscious about being in class with a bunch of kids--that didn't last long. We were immediately accepted and welcomed into a close-knit group of individuals (both adults and kids) that just want to have fun, get in shape, and practice taekwondo. Master Kim and Master Lee are great teachers, always making the class fun yet challenging. We look forward to every class and always leave proud of what we accomplish. We're testing for our orange belts this month! Anyone--especially adults--that think, "man, that looks like fun," but are letting doubts hold them back--don't. Come into a class and give it a try! You'll be glad you did.

I was doing a sets routine and had my set up all ready and was in the middle of the second exercise when someone came over and started moving my stuff. I let them know I was utilizing that equipment and their respond was that I could move to the other side. Well, I could but so could she, and I already had weights, plates and foams set up in that spot for a particular exercise. It made me feel very uncomfortable and she refused to leave my stuff (including phone, and water bottle) versus going to the other side when no one was there. They need more space so people are not on top of each other. Get rid of the 10 extra treadmills no one uses and create a corner for stretching or body weight exercises (burpees, etc). If this location wasn't on my route, I'd drive over to Blocker.

My husband and I moved to the area and needed to find a new CrossFit Gym. We checked out a few…read moreplaces but ultimately chose CFC because we liked the small class sizes and the one on one attention from the coaches. Most classes usually have somewhere between 4 and 10 people in them, which is a good size! The coaches really get to know you and are constantly helping you improve your form and do the movements safely - and of course pushing you too. They do their own programming in house and I find I'm constantly being challenged by each workout. On the weekends sometimes they do events like Muscles and Margaritas which are open to the public and is always a fun time. Get a workout in, make some friends, and enjoy a beverage. I definitely recommend checking them out whether you're looking to join a new gym or you're here on vacation and need to drop in, the owners are super friendly and I know you'll enjoy your time there!

You can really tell that they have a passion to teach and ride! I like how both of them really take the time to get to know you and they want everyone in class to leave knowing they had a great workout. They even set a goal for me for next time! After chatting with them after class, I already felt like I belonged, which is SO IMPORTANT for me when looking for a gym. :) When you enter the studio, there is a crisp, clean, and relaxed chic/modern feel...wood floors and wood/metal décor. To the right, you will see a check in area, comfy and modern couches, and cubbies that hold your cycling shoes (if you need them). To the left you will see benches, a schedule board, hampers for towels and shoes, and some yoga mats/foam rollers. Straight ahead, you will see 3 rows of bikes that are connected to a large screen that sits above the instructor's bike. The bikes are really cool as you can see all of your stats on your bike and on the screen. This includes your power, rpm, time, calories, and points you earn as you ride. The monitor will also show different colors. These are the levels you are working at with the amount of power you are putting in. I like having this because I can really push myself and easily keep track with where I should be... whether I am climbing a hill or sprinting! RCS also has an app! The app is user friendly and makes it so easy to schedule and purchase classes. It also helps you keep track of your activity (including running, cycling, and other workouts). Another positive note is that their rates are great and they offer fantastic specials. Right now, for summer, you can get 10 classes for only $65. That is a steal! So, if you're looking for a great place to ride, even if you're a first timer, check them out! Kaye even mentioned having some classes geared towards first time riders. It will be so worth it! Lolita and Kaye will be there for you and instructors are everything. They make the ride and they challenge you do get better, push harder, pedal faster! You don't have to worry about any gimmicks like weights, bands, or yoga while on the bike (some people enjoy that which is fine).
