I was shocked at how the kids were being heavily & loudly screamed at. They were being reprimanded for ripping posters off walls and threatened with losing bathroom privileges. It was followed by a younger adult screaming at the entire group of students at the top of her lungs military style. It was so jarring that my two kids were terrified. She screamed like a drill sergeant things like, "you sit up straight when people are talking to you, especially when an adult is speaking to you." It was like an episode of scared straight and they were felons. I told them I wanted to hear what was happening and that I didn't like what was going on there and if this was normal. The woman said, "yes, it's summer camp." So I said okay I'm not interested in signing them up and walked out. If your kids use this camp, please beware!!!!

I wanted someone with extensive background in Tae Kwon Do. I found that in Master Chen. Her impressive history, including being an international referee, drew my attention. Each of her instructors are carefully vetted. I have had great experiences with her staff and their interaction with the children. It was important to me that my child not just have a drop-off place where the kids just run around on their own whims. I wanted a structured program to teach discipline, have fun, and keep her exercising. Before I committed, they offered a trial class. My daughter had a lot of fun and immediately asked to sign up.
