My instructors were Jose, Yasmine & Yonel. Don't waste your time here. Daniel is friendly and helpful and the only reason this place gets a star. They have 2 programs to chose from. For 2000$ you can read, watch practice videos & take practice tests on your own. You can also do this for free if you use your handbook and the internet. The study sheet and video had inconsistencies from the handbook. I memorized the video and then was told, don't use the wording from the video... One of the instructors seemed to have hated me since he met me and the few times I had him in class, it was unbearable. All he did was yell at me. The other 2 instructors were friendly. While they were teaching me, they would tell me when to turn & how much but I never learned why. I would always ask, I don't understand, I need to be able to understand, telling me what to do without me being able to recognize why is not helping. I think that comment was lost in translation because I never learned how to do some of the basic things. Unemployment paid for my training. The money & time was completely wasted. I think I got 20 hours in the truck. For some reason they schedule my first attempt at the test without having taken all the hours. They set you up to fail and I did. I scheduled another test but didn't get to practice consistently at all. I progressed but didn't pass completely. The school is busy so scheduling was a problem plus the delays at the DMV made it impossible. My test receipt expired so I had to pay that a second time and now my permit is expiring and I am out of practice hours. It makes no sense to me whatsoever that they didn't allow me to take all my hours if not more before sending me to take the test. I believe they try to get you to take the test hoping you will pass so they don't have to give you all the hours that were paid for. During my classes, the instructors were usually on their phone and not helping me. Their methods of teaching are ineffective. At this point, I think I only need a couple more hours of practice, it's all about consistency. Taking 2 hours of classes every couple weeks will never give you the skills needed. The trucks were in terrible shape. The shifter was so worn that you had to place it in the absolute correct spot. The brakes were constantly unresponsive or too sensitive. During my test, as I was going through the safety check, the truck was obviously not safe. I may have said "the air pressure is good between 80-120", but the air pressure was at 150 & it did lose more than 4lbs of pressure in a minute. It also doesn't seem professional for my time to be used maintaining the truck. Perhaps that time would have made a difference. I have to schedule some more hours and a new road test but I have to pay out of pocket. I will be going somewhere else. The question you need to ask yourself is; " is it worth spending the money to drive a truck with someone sitting next to you", this place should be your last choice. read more

Caesar is a GOD SEND! Let me tell you, I only took 2 lessons with this man after being behind the wheel not even a dozen times in my life and failing road test twice prior---he swooped in and got me all the way together! He's patient, thorough, and just an all around great guy. Interactions with him were always professional yet personable at the same time and I always got a pleasant temperament out of him. If you're afraid to drive like o also was he'll put you at ease and make sure you're prepared to tackle your course! This place needs to keep him around because these 5 stars are all because of him! This is the worst driving school I have seen I paid for cdl class A training the guy on Madison in Paterson was didn't help or teach me anything I get to my road test the instructor was looking for I didn't even here about the sorry no good trainer never showed me. I came across this place from a listing of DMV licensed driving schools. I called to ask for hourly rates, and before I could even finish my sentence, the woman on the phone is yelling at someone in the background... I was compelled to ask her if I had called the correct number. I should have hung up then, but I continued the call. I told her I lived in Paterson and wanted to know how much the hourly rate was and she said $35. Ok, no problem. Then I asked her for a 2 hour rate because the other driving schools I called give you a discount for 2 hours. She replied in a snarky tone, "Well, I just said the 1 hour lessons are $35." How unprofessional. Then when I asked her how much was the Road Test Service, she asked, "Where do you live?" Too bad she wasn't even listening to me. As soon as she said how much it was, she hung up. Why would I even bother taking lessons here when they don't even know how to talk to potential customers over the phone? Best decision I ever made... I had 60 hours of Road training for my CDL A license... the instructors were thorough and patient... the course is structured to not only help you pass the exam and getting your CDL but to actually be a safe commercial truck driver... less than a month after graduating and obtaining my CDL A license I received a great job offer with great pay... all the training is one on one with a single instructor for 2 hour increments... if you want to learn how to drive a truck this is the place to go! read more

I am an adult student who has had several lessons with master driving school. I must say my confidence and knowledge about driving is 100% better. I know it will take time to become a seasoned driver, but with the help of Master driving school, I now feel that I can go out alone among other drivers. They are patient, experienced and knowledgeable drivers. the price are fair and yes I would recommend school to others. Cannot wait to buy my car and drive confidently! I severely wouldn't recommend this school if you are looking for a quick way to get your license. Its a long term, fixed in place set of hours school. They charge $2000 dollars and you have to spend 30 hours in a class and over 6 hours of drive time. Of course I couldn't afford it, and I took this as the average price of all driving schools. And it completely wasted my time and ruined my life. I was suppose to get my license so I could finally go to CR. England Trucking, but the lie made me waste all my time trying to earn up 2000 and failing, when all it should cost for a full package is $290 with flexible hours. I would recommend Adventure Driving School, or my choice, Alpine Driving School. Alpine doesn't make you sit through 3 months of classes and forces you to pay outrages prices for something you don't really need. Alpine doesn't have a class room. Its all road practice and 1 on 1 teaching. You pay $40 an hour and you set your own time and how much you wanna pay. I mean, you can choose to only do 1 hour if you really wanted. Or you can choose to do 6 hours. Or any hours. It just has to be $40 or over. You have complete freedom of choice. But Master Driving School, you don't. My life is ruined right now because of there terrible prices. I wasted over a year, just so I could get to trucking already. Oh, and by the way. I would recommend going to CR.England, and after a year, Schneider trucking. Schneider is a 48 state traveling truck career. It pays $56,000 a year with 1 or 2 days off a week. Check out there site. Its a great career if you are the nomadic type. Endless travel. But you need a CDL first, which you'd get from CR for free with free training if you work with them for 9 months or pay them $5000 if you choose to leave early. But don't... Then after the 9 month contract is up you can leave CR and go to Schneider inc. Its worth it. read more

I am very happy with how Master Driving School works. I had no issues whatsoever and my instructor gave me very helpful tips. I am proud to say that i feel confident to be on the road thanks to my instructor. Most importantly, the price is the best out there for the 6 hour training and i definately reccomend it. I completely disagree with the first review, i had no issues with them and i was very pleases on how punctual the instructor was to pick me up. They were able to pick me at school which was very convenient and i am eager to tell my friends about this driving school. read more

The worse driving school I have ever come across... after going through schools with my two older children with NO problems, unfortunately the driving instructor they had used was away. My youngest had nothing but problems with this school. The owner is rude and arrogant. When scheduling appointment prior to her taking her road test, the employees don't communicate with one another, The owner flat out called me a liar and had no idea that my kid was schedule for her driving test or lesson, amazing that the man I spoke to new her name, but she assured me I was out of my mind and never called her school because I did not speak to her. Well hello ass, when all said and done , she was the wrong one, she just never remembered putting my kid in her computer, The day of her test they scheduled her for an 8AM test, telling my kid they would be here at 7AM to take her, they came, 8AM at my house, guess they don't know how to tell time either. My recommendation to any parent out there, if you don't want to deal with aggravation, rudeness and drama the day of your kids test, DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL... They need to be ON channel 7 news..
