Our experience with Road Rules Driving School North has been an extremely positive one. From the very beginning, Greg has been very thorough with the information he's given both us and our son. Even before the 6 hours of instruction began, Greg provided us with everything we needed to know about the lessons and road test. He put our minds at ease with is calmness and professionalism. He made our son's DMV appointment for the road test, picked him up at home on his test date two hours prior to the exam to practice a bit more. He showed up on time (even a few minutes early) and explained what they would be doing. He provided us with a checklist of what to bring to the road test appointment so that there would be no surprises. He called us from the DMV to tell us our son had passed and mentioned a few extra things that he should pay attention to. He even followed up afterwards with additional information he had researched. We are so happy to have met Greg and we highly recommend him and his company. If you are looking for a great driving school, look no further. Greg and Road Rules North are the best! read more

They are extremely unresponsive. I've been trying to schedule lessons with them since April, through email, their website form, and phone. They don't respond to the first two, and the phone is 50/50 you'll get an answering machine or an actual person. I was advised to complete a website form again, and then received no response. After calling, I finally got an instructor's phone number and was advised to text them. Now, I understand that I can't expect someone to be available 24/7 to answer a text, but after three days of no response after day one, I gave up and tried another driving school, where I was able to IMMEDIATELY reach someone by phone and schedule their services. You must be extremely persistent if you want to go to this driving school. I should have tried another driving school right away, honestly. read more

First off it took them two weeks to send out my application packet from the time I submitted my information. Once I finally completed the packet and submitted everything including my child's personal info and a check, I never heard from them again. I haven't even received a confirmation that they received my documents and it has been over two weeks. I've been emailing them and have received no response. I've been calling for two days and no one answers, yet their voicemail message says they are fully staffed and someone is always in the office. You can't even leave a voicemail because it's been full. I don't know what type of games they are playing, but at this point I don't want to deal with them and just want my stuff back. So when I went for my road test I passed but then they did not bring me back home just left me there in dmv had to call my mother in law to come pick me up but then I paid 200 something like it's crazy is that even possible.... I would not even recommend to no one and he just left.... if I was 15 year old and stuck out there my mother would of flipped its ashamed if I did not have some one to come pick me up I would of been stuck read more

I booked my son's 6hrs. and a day before his road test I scheduled a refresher with Paramus Driving School. I wanted to make sure my son was well prepared to get his license and Paramus Driving School did not disappoint. They were on time, great communication and did everything to make sure my son was ready and prepared to take his road test. They will go over and over the driving course until your child gets it right leaving no room for error and sets them up for success. In addition, Paramus Driving School is the only one that brings them on the highway to get their feet wet. Good morning, I called to get some information about road lessons. Based on the reviews I expected decent customer service. A man answered and said hello, I said good morning how are you? He answers with well. It was pretty abrupt and off putting I just went ahead and asked about road lessons, he quickly goes to tell me there's a 10 week waiting list so I have to wait and I said oh okay and before I can say thank you he rudely hangs up the phone. I booked a two hour refresher course for a Saturday morning with Greg from Road Rules Driving School. I booked the lesson at least a week in advance. On the day of the scheduled lesson, Greg was a no show. I called and left him a voicemail, but he has not gotten back to me since I scheduled my lesson. I still haven't heard from him as of today. Not sure if that's what others have experienced in their interactions with him. read more

Used Paramus driving school for the last of my 4 children and I am sorry I didn't for the previous 3. After his 6 hours behind the wheel, my son came home capable of navigating the roads-side and highway. We also did the refresher and road test through the school and it went so smoothly. Greg from Paramus driving had my son feeling confident and prepared. He passed his driving test with ease. The entire experience went do smoothly, largely in part to their instruction. My granddaughter and I were very pleased with all aspects of our experience with Greg and Road Rules. I just got back from driving with her in Hawthorne and Glen Rock on a busy Saturday, and I must say she is doing very well -- especially for having only 6 hours on the road experience. I would highly recommend Road Rules to any parent looking to sign up their child. I signed my daughter up for refresher lessons prior to her road test and have to say Greg was an excellent instructor. My daughter had went to another driving school previously and she dreaded the lessons because the instructor would grab the steering wheel and would at times yell at her. Both she and I were very comfortable with Greg. He explained everything, was very patient and would give constructive criticism in a positive manner. He took her on many of the major highways and each lesson had a focus (highway, parking, etc.). The whole process was a great experience. read more

Had a great experience with Gregg. I sign up my son for the brush up and the road test vehicle. Totally worth it. My son was also very pleased with the way Gregg showed him everything he need to know and do. We had previously used another school for the six hours but didn't had such a great experience. I would highly recommend Road Rules to anyone who is not confident with their driving skills and wants to get a license with limited time for driving lessons. As a first time driver, I believe I made a good choice to learn driving with Chris at Road Rules. I never knew that I could master everything I needed to know for the road test in three 2-hour classes. Chris knows all the details about the test. I was able to pass the test at Lodi in my first try. Another reason that I prefer Road Rules to other driving schools is that they have more flexibility in scheduling classes. I could choose Saturday or Sunday or weekday after work. Conclusion: Road Rules made me ready for the test before I even knew. Thank you Chris! read more

My son needed some refresher classes to prepare for his road test. Unfortunately the driving school where he took his 6 hour course stated they "were too busy to help us, but would put us on a cancellation waiting list". Owner was extremely arrogant, despite several promises, she never scheduled any lessons and stopped returning my calls. I then researched some local driving schools and after speaking with Gregg, decided to go with Road Rules,could not have been more satisfied. Gregg made my son relax, was patient and identified where he needed to improve to pass his test. A total professional and an outstanding instructor (Gregg is a former teacher). He was always prompt and provided an assessment of strengths and weaknesses after each lesson so we could practice on our own. Thanks to Gregg, my son aced his road test. I cannot recommend Road Rules highly enough. It doesn't get better than this. Greg, the instructor, is phenomenal! I used to be the kind of person who was very insecure behind the wheel but thanks to Greg, I had a very positive and enjoyable learning experience. Greg is very patient and truly a nice person.
