So sad, paid good money out of my pocket, did everything on my end, passed the written no issues, that was all me. when it came to them, not so good! Passed back my road test back in September, still no job, after 7 days of training i was called and told i was trained by the wrong driver, and I had to re-take my training. And then I lost 3 weeks of work, to re take everything. Then the ininstructor kept calling me he was nice, but kept calling me to leave a good review so he can get a 50$ bonus. I never drove manual before, but they said for me to try it and believed they could show me the way, and they absolutely did. At first, I was a bit afraid of getting my Tractor license, many people say that you have to know a lot to pass the test, but I adventure myself into this journey and I register with Jersey Tractor Trailer Training School. Antwan was my first point of contact when I got into the office, he gave me prices and training time, even the test day after my downpayment. I watched all the videos and got my first certification done in the office (that was easy). When I got to the training on the field, I found this gentleman who walked us through out to all the parts and components of the trailer, it was too much information for the first day. He showed the components and different kinds of Licenses, Class A or B and every day they will teach you either cabin, front or back of the trailer, auto or standard (I didn't miss one class). It was a lot to learn, and it was a bit overwhelming, but I didn't give up. On my first day of field training Edward Montes was my trainer, his knowledge started to cover every step, key points and trailer components as we progressed into the classes, he definitely made it look simple, he kept telling me how to learn the steps using the videos, later on he would correct any missing information, filling the gaps and correcting my errors. Edward was always helping me to remember the steps and the components of the trailer. Never heard any bad comment or yelling at me because I forgot a component or any of the steps (I always forgot something, lol). On one of my field training days Edward was training someone else so I was appointed to Nick who gave me a few key words to remember certain components, he was a good instructor. On my last day of the training prior to the test I was so confident. I couldn't believe I had learned so much in just a few days, my training took 7 working days plus the day of the test. I passed my test and now I am a CDL driver thanks to Jersey Tractor by the hand of Edward Montes. No extra classes, no extra charges. Worst school I've ever seen in my life. During registration, I was told that I could get a driver's license in 3 months at the most. but now they said it will take 6 months. When I asked why, they said they did not have enough tools. they also take the money from the beginning and wait until the time specified in the contract has elapsed. I just passed my CDL-A road test. Victor should genuine interest in me and build up my confidence. He was able to train me about 5 classes. The rest of my classes were with Audi. This guy is also interested in your success. Not only teaching you the maneuvers but the reasons why you should do it the way he's teaching you. If you go to this school. I definitely recommend these 2 instructors. Make sure you study the pre trip and A/B/C inspections. They have prerecorded videos that you can follow along with an practice. Paid cash to train here, didn't pass my driving test so they charged me more money to practice more and still failed! They never offered more training, refund, nothing! Their trucks are run down and they treat people like crap, save your money and go elsewhere! Not worth the time or the experience! I got my license eventually through Smith and Solomon, way better company and they guarantee you your license. My experience with JTTT was really good. Went there to upgrade my class B to a class A. Luigi was my instructor and was very helpful in order for me to pass my road test first try. Highly recommend! I just passed my class B manual the first try. I signed up with Victor and was contacted in a couple of days with my schedule and test date. Jersey Tractor Trailer has a a lot of different time slots to choose from, which is great if you are working. My classes were two hours for 8 days that led right up to my road test at 8am in Wayne . It was a one on one experience, which is VERY hard to find. I was partnered with Andre( angel in disguise) who taught me everything I needed to know, from a Pre -Trip that was recorded on my phone, to driving manual and doing all the maneuvers. The yard where you do the maneuvers is massive, and is exactly what is on the test. You get to drive to the yard as well, which also helps with the learning experience. The drive itself to the yard also allows you to practice shifting, highway experience and people cutting you off and your reaction :) Andre, was a class act with patience like no other. Everyone learns differently and Andre immediately adjusted to how I needed to learn and it instantly clicked! He gave me the confidence to know I will pass the test. If you are looking for a trucking school look no further then JTT instructors are great and pretrip classes with Calvin are very good he teaches you everything you need to know about pre-trip as well as this school give you the paperwork to take home and the video .. Weeks pass before they schedule your "road test". Appointment was for 8 am, did not get behind wheel til 1:00 pm. At this point, headache and exhausted resulted in fail. I just finished my 10 lesson training program and passed my class A manual with ease. Scotty was my instructor and he explained everything that I needed to know very clearly. Pre-trip is on you, so study ahead of time. The pre-trip video they provide is spot on, so watch it. The trucks are all in good shape and driving was easy. BEWARE AND STAY AWAY! Not a good driving school especially if your paying privately to get your cdl. Victor is very rude, unprofessional, and a lier. Communication is seriously lacking at this school. They tell you " we will call you" not once did they ever reach out to me I reached out to them every step of the way. Unfortunately On January 7th I failed the driving portion of my test but passed my pre trip. Yes I take responsibility for failing ,it happens. Why I'm Furious is that they tried to charge me an extra $550 to retake another test. My contract says $300 to retest. They told me they couldn't schedule me another test until April! Meanwhile I signed up to do this back in September. And just to get answers on when my test date would be I had to call so many times. This week I called a different driving school I have a much sooner date and paying them $300. Another thing the lessons are a joke. You can teach yourself the pre trip no problem. There were days all I did was drive around no maneuvers and the instructor was just on his phone. Yes I would leave 30 minutes early due to what a joke the lessons were. I urge anyone to stay clear. They say that they will be there every step of the way. That is a LIE. I made all my written test appointments, called you guys when it snowed and there was a delay the day of my test, called you guys 10 times to get a new date all to find out it's gonna be in April when my permit expires. They wouldn't even give me an exact date until I payed. All a money making scheme. Also called today to speak with victor an instructor picked up and told me Victor would call me back. No call. I wanted to take the time to thank the entire team especially the instructors Josh, Victor & Audi. I recently went through another school which I am not going to name (it's in West Broadway, Paterson) which I witnessed an impersonal attitude toward their students, falling asleep while instructing as well as trying to sell you products you don't need, if you didn't buy they didn't help. After taking the Maneuvers and Road test, it became evident that I was not going to pass with this school. That's when I teamed up with Jersey Tractor Trailer and right off the back, I knew this was the school that would take me to the Finish Line. The instructors took their time in explaining and sharing their insight and what would be expected from the MVC test. They would not let me advance until I learned what I was training on. They made me do it over and over until I became both relaxed and comfortable. As I initially struggled, their encouragement allowed me to focus and push hard in obtaining my CDL Class A. I did a ton of research before I signed up for CDL school, and I chose Jersey Tractor Trailer based on several factors, the most compelling of which is the fact that you train one on one with an instructor. The other schools I looked at will have four or more students sharing a truck with one instructor. Maybe that is why they take so long to get you ready for your road test. Oh, yeah, that is another factor that is great about JTT -- they get you trained in no time. I had a full time job when I went, and I was able to go from permit to written tests to road test in less than 2 months. I signed up for the class at the end of January, and I had my CDL on March 17. And the best part is that now I have a great job at one of the top trucking companies in the country, all through contacts I got through Jersey Tractor Trailer. Once you are enrolled, you will have access to their jobs website, and you will get contact info for a ton of different companies and instructions about how to apply. Personally, I knew which companies I wanted to work for, I applied to only two after I got my CDL, and received job offers from both of them. To sum it up, you will spend a lot more money at most of the other schools in the area, you will get inferior instruction, and you will spend a lot more time in class to end up with the same license. read more

JTT is an exceptional school and I would highly recommend to anyone who is serious about getting their license and wants solid training. I took lessons mostly with Calvin and a few with Victor. Calvin is a great trainer and made the impossible seem possible by removing my fears of driving such a big vehicle. Victor is very patient and explains concepts well. The school offers free pre-trip classes 3 days a week which is huge as this frees up your lesson time for driving. Dan was at the DMV on my last road test day and made a huge difference on getting me mentally prepped to confidently take the time test. Speaking to him and going over basic tips made me feel completely calm and at ease without the expected test day jitters. The best feeling in the world is passing. I paid $2050 in full in cash to join their CDL Class A school on March 12th 2015. The package I purchased entitled me to 20 driving hours of one on one instruction with unlimited classroom preparation. I studied at home for 4 months in order to obtain my permit on August 1, 2015. Classes began on August 12, 2015 which were FREE pre trip classes. I was told my participation was mandatory to three of them (they were open to the public non paying visitors as well). I was scheduled for a total of 7 pre-trip classes. When I arrived on the first class all my study materials were wrong and outdated. It was then that I found out that the materials had changed and I was the only wrong with outdated and incorrect information. They never notified me despite having my email or cellphone. I then had to study all the new information again. Throughout those classes the instructor played YouTube videos all day long and handed us a few dittos. He was unable to answer direct questions or provide technical knowledge. Furthermore, he was unable to take us physically to a tractor to look at a truck or explain the nuances. I along with other classmates expressed concern regarding the quality of the program to which he disregarded by making jokes and deflecting all questions. I only received 14 hours of one on one driving when I requested several times that I have experience in driving and my challenges were parallel parking and alley docking. However, the instructor ignored this and I asked to speak to the supervisor Mike Motherwell about this as well as I felt that my one on one hours can be customized to meet my needs as a student not the businesses' wants. Mike suggested to purchase additional hours at $115 per hour. I believe this was done purposely to hook unsuspecting fearful students to spend more money. I cannot afford it. I declined to pay more money & asked to be downgraded to a Class B CDL ( cheaper package). The reason for the downgrade was lack of money to learn to park. While I was driving on the highway the truck got stuck and the instructor was unable to guide me to get it into 3rd gear. When I confronted him about this he admitted not knowing what he was doing. I did not feel that the school provided sound technical training, hands on instruction or have adequately trained staff that was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions if students had them. It is a poorly run and poorly managed facility that runs only on numbers instead of integrity. Moreover, they do not care about handing a huge responsibility regarding the safety of operating a commercial vehicle as they attempt to schedule students for their road test within weeks without reasonably providing ample opportunity for direct practice and instruction. Since I downgraded from a $2050 package to a $1300 (CDL B) I want more hours of training to make up the difference. I feel I was misguided and misled and this was a total bait and switch. read more

I can't say enough about JTTT! Everyone at this school was professional, knowledgeable and thorough with their training. I learned to drive an 18-wheeler in 3 weeks! Howard, Mike and Jerry were very efficient and accommodating. My trainers Julian and Victor were the best! I learned so much from them both. Last but not least, the owner, William Olivier. He has an open door policy and made me feel at home immediately. He even accommodated every request that I had which made me feel that these guys will do whatever it takes for the student to feel confident about taking the road test. Dennis although very direct, explained the entire road test process. It was great knowing what to expect. The main reason I decided to go with JTTT is that they train on the road, one-on-one, which is not the norm. Although there were many schools that were closer to me in South Jersey, I drove 90 mins each way to come to this school. Passed my class A today thanks to my instructors , John and Gus were excellent instructors, sorry I did not have a chance to get instruction from any of the other instructors but I'm sure they were just as good. I have been driving for "Big Brown" for 22 years and now ready for my class A, my company picked the school and it was a good decision. Very knowledgeable and professional. The instructors taught me what I needed to know to pass the road test and many helpful tips that I will be using for the rest of my career. Talked with a salesman at this school who I told I was shopping around for the best experience for the price. This place was closest to my house and I was already leaning towards using this place to obtain my (CDL class A) license. The salesman sold me on a package that they offer and I was ready to sign. Two friends of mine wanted to join with me, when we went back to the place with our money in hand the whole package that he offered us at first changed. The three of us know what we heard at the first meeting and what we agreed upon then they tried to short us on road time and offer a lot LESS instruction for MORE money. It was unbelievable. I had 4 different instructors, all very knowledgable and helpful. The one on one training you receive in this school compares to no other. This company is dedicated to your success as a truck driver. I want to thank each and every instructor for all the help they've given me starting with Devon - this man laid it down for me straight, from his pre-trip class to his instructions, he is the main reason I passed the test, thank you Devon - mad respect for you. I attended this school in the summer of 2014 and after my first lesson I knew i made the right choice. The main reason I chose JTTT is because they offer private 1 on 1 lessons while other schools I called did not. At JTTT I got 2 hours of personal drive time every lesson. I took my CDL class A road test the day after my last lesson and passed no problem. Their instructors were experienced drivers and complete professionals and they all did a great job teaching you how to maneuver and drive the tractor trailers. I drove with 7 different instructors and had a positive experience with all and was able to learn something from each of one them. After just a couple of lessons in their training area I was out driving in traffic, upshifting & downshifting and learning how to turn safely in different scenarios. They also have classroom time to help prepare you for the permit tests and they give you tips on how to study and take the test which helped me pass all of them the first time. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn to drive trucks and get a CDL. read more

Well Mike.. You try to say people are being cheap and don't want to spend the money. However, we happily forked over the cash for the entire class. The morning classes were a complete waste of the time. The guy teaches stuff that are irrelevant to the test and fills your head with useless info. You literally learn absolutely nothing valuable. You show up every day and every day your time is wasted. They barely go over pre trip Inspection with you. Just like the written test, they just keep giving you packets to study on your own time. Shit you could've just found online. After failing the test they conveniently had a $900 package ready for to take more classes and take the test again one month from now knowing I would be moving cross country. So I forfeit my opportunity at another shot which is paid for already. They are crooks and do things at their convenience when you're the one paying for these services. And if you miss a class you forfeit it. I PAID FOR THIS FREAKING CLASS. Just for the record the instructors who teach you to DRIVE are great. But the teacher for the knowledge test, pre trip inspection suck. They do NOTHING to prepare you. ITS MIKE THE CROOK WHO TAKES YOUR MONEY.
