I will say, the process was very painful despite the numbing cream so please be aware of that. And it's a weird chalkboard-scratching feeling as well. Otherwise, you end up looking amazing so beauty is definitely pain in this case. My eyebrows healed nicely as well. I did two sessions: one initial and one retouch. Just follow Michelle's post-care instructions and you will be taken care of. I'm so happy about my new brows ! Thank you!!!!

This review is so long overdue as I've been coming to Irene Skintopia for three years now, and I…read morehonestly can't say enough good things about this place. When I first came in, my skin barrier was in really bad shape from trying way too many products and doing way too much to my skin. They told me my skin barrier was super thin and needed a lot of TLC. After consistently coming here for the past three years, my skin barrier is SO much stronger, my skin is clearer, and so much more glowy. I only wear a tiny bit of concealer in my day to day and get SO many compliments on my skin now. This was not the case before and I owe it all to Joy (my facialist)! Joy is my facialist, and she is truly the best. I absolutely love seeing her and look forward to every facial. Her treatments feel like a combination of a lymphatic drainage massage, extractions, and LDM all in one. It's so relaxing, but at the same time, I always leave feeling like my skin has actually been taken care of and reset. She knows my skin so well and always knows exactly what I need. Anytime I have an emerging pimple, it completely disappears after my facial because of her work. I also get microneedling here about once a month or every other month, and it has completely transformed my skin texture. I really appreciate that they don't just do the same thing every time, they look at what my skin needs and will add things like red light therapy or whatever they think will help with healing and getting the best results. I also get Botox here, and this is genuinely the best place I've ever gone for Botox. I've had some pretty bad Botox experiences in the past, including in Korea, where I really hated how it looked. At Irene's, my Botox is always done very conservatively and naturally. I still look like myself, just more refreshed. And to top it off, the entire staff is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and I especially love seeing Irene and Edward there. Every time I walk in, they greet me with the biggest smiles, and they are just the sweetest, nicest people. You can really tell that everyone here genuinely cares about their clients. After three years of coming here, I truly trust Irene's Skintopia with my skin. They've helped me repair my skin barrier, keep my skin clear, improve my texture, and maintain results that still look natural. It is worth every single penny, and I'm so grateful I found this place. I recommend them to everyone!

She made it look easy peasy! :) I was able to see the procedure and staff helped record video of it, and we all laughed because it was like Dr.Pimplepoppers. AWWW It was so satisfying to see millia popping out like a ping pong balls. We squashed it and said ewww. lol. Today Elena got a lash lift and lash tint at Glow Beauty Waxing... and honestly, I'm still shocked at how beautiful it turned out. This wasn't just a "pretty" result. The moment she opened her eyes, her whole vibe changed. Elena kept saying, "Mom, I want my lashes SUPER lifted!" and somehow they understood exactly what she wanted. Every single lash was lifted perfectly. Long, clean, dramatic -- but still soft and natural. Her eyes look brighter, bigger, and so much more sparkling. When I saw her side profile, I literally had to stop for a second. And the tint made everything even prettier. It looks like she was naturally born with dark, perfect lashes. But the best part wasn't even the lashes. It was watching Elena quietly smile at herself in the mirror and say, "Mom... I love it so much." That moment melted my heart. I have pitifully wispy eyebrows and am thankful to be alive in an era of high quality…read moresemi-permanent makeup technology. I started getting my brows microbladed over a decade ago by a woman named Han. She was still my go-to person when I tried to text her for an appointment last week. To my surprise, I got a response from Connie of Glow Beauty Waxing, who told me Han was no longer in the state and that she, Connie, would be taking care of all clients in the meantime. She assured me that she'd been working with Han for over ten years, and that yes, she could see me that very afternoon. Han is apparently in Hawaii now, unless of course Connie has Talented Mr. Ripleyed her and taken her phone number and client list. I suspect this is not the case, as Connie is very sweet. She is also an excellent esthetician, and I will be going to her from now on for all my eyebrow needs. I met her in her little room inside Cherie Nail at the Koreatown Galleria, next to the food court. It was a neat, functional space, with a single bed for customers to lie down and entrust her with their faces. It had been over a year since my last microblading appointment, and the pigment had definitely faded. Connie also pointed out that it had turned slightly red, noting that the fine lines made by microblading smudged and turned reddish on some people's skin. She suggested a different permanent makeup technique that might be better for me, and I told her to go ahead and do as she thought best. She sketched out a shape, which I approved, then waxed my brows and started the process of filling them in. I took a nap and woke up with fresh, handsome eyebrows that had no relation to my DNA. Connie used a technique I'd never heard of called powder spray, and it looks fantastic. Less natural than microblading but like meticulous make-up, better than any pencil job I've ever done. It was also significantly less painful than microblading. It's been a little over a week and I love my new eyebrows. I also love that I don't have to think about them until my touch-up in a month or so, and for another year or whatever after that. I hope Han is enjoying Hawaii, and I'm happy to have Connie in charge of my brows.
