Honestly can't believe they all let people roll out like that charging $35 and not even take card. I had to walk down the street to get a bill broken since this establishment that only takes cash, had no cash. I feel like I've got road rash all the way around my head from the clipper and razor. Well... I went in for my first undercut. I should have left when he said he couldn't part hair. Silly me, I stayed. He hit my hair that was put up with the clippers, so of course strands(globs) of hair fell out. The part was made way too high, having more than I ever wanted shaved off. The image was twice the size that I wanted. The lines were way too thick. He told me I would be a little red, but I would be fine. Yeah ok. I could see being a little red for my first shave. Woke up the next day and it hurt. I have gashes as well. I went some where else to have them try and fix it. My only option is to let it grow out and start over. I had the other place shave my design off. I still have some of the design in my head because of the gashes from getting cut. I'm thankful for the reimbursement, however I'm very dissatisfied. Was looking for a real barbershop to get my haircut and my beard lined up, found Master Barbers on Google and went off the good reviews. I went in as a walk in and was taken right away. I won't be naming my barber cause he was cool with me and made good conversation. He took his time to cut my hair and line me up. Price was fair and went on my way, my temples on both sides of my head felt a little sore and I ignored it. Woke up this morning to see marks on my temples. I took my son to get a hair cut, when we walked in, nobody even said hi, not to mention to ask us what they can do for us. After waiting for about 40 minutes, we gave up. Bobby is amazing! Does a great job and is always a great conversationalist. It's always a hassle to get a man to cut a woman's hair to her liking (I prefer short and faded) and he does it without judgement. I went in based off of the amazing Yelp reviews I read online. The barber that helped me was Moon, he is a very polite and kind man. I showed him a picture and gave him instructions that I wasted a 3 on the sides tapered down to a 0.5 on the edges and that I wanted the top to be longest in the front. Over all he did a great Job on the fade and left the front of the top long, however he cut the rest of the top way too short! But I guess that was partly my fault because I assumed he would know to keep a good balance on top. I'd recommend this place and Moon, but say that make sure you're very specific about what you want. I have been taking my sons to this barbershop for at least two years now. The prices are fair. The location is convenient. There are many barbers there to choose from. Most of the barbers accept credit card payment as well as cash, which is nice to have options. However, this shop lacks professionalism! Upon entering the shop, it looks dusty, and the front counter is often cluttered with brochures, magazines, event notices, etc. The barbers are constantly on their phones, even while their clients are in the chair. I have watched barbers, on numerous occasions, stop cutting a client's hair and have a complete phone conversation. Meanwhile, the client is waiting for the barber to complete their cut. Too many times my family has made appointments, and the barber either shows up 30 minutes late, or not show up at all, without notifying me they are behind or cannot keep the appointment. If you are bringing younger children (any child under 18), be sure to attend the appointment with them. I have noticed, and experienced first hand, many barbers take an adult ahead of a child, when clearly the child was either next in line for the barber's chair; had been waiting for a long time; or simply overlooked. Parents should also accompany their children, and bring ear buds as well, because the language used, and the types of conversations had in this shop is not appropriate for young ears at all! The selection of music and movies, when played, are normally not appropriate either. As a black patron, I am all for supporting black businesses, and look for opportunities to do so. I am very disappointed at the lack of professionalism, lack of customer service, lack of consideration for its clients this barbershop shows. My family has continued to attend Master Barbers because our experience looking for a barbershop, that (at least) gives our black sons "decent" cuts, has been challenging. I have wanted to continue our search, due to some of the complaints I have listed in this post. However, my sons had grown tired of the search process. Until...this last visit at the barbershop. One of my teenage sons had an appointment. I dropped him off, which I normally do not do, but this time I had not eaten all day, and wanted to grab a quick snack to have while waiting at the barbershop. I got back within 10 minutes to find my son still waiting for his cut. Another barber, who works at the shop, was sitting in the chair (not getting his hair cut) of the barber who my son had an appointment with. The barbers were talking, laughing, and had their phones out, while there were 5 people waiting for cuts (including my son). When I walked in, the barber sitting in the chair my son should have been in, removed himself from the chair, and my son's barber gestured for my son to come get his cut. For me, this speaks to Master Barbers'- the owner and barbers- integrity. A particular person should not have to enter the doors of the barbershop, in order for the barbers to do their job. The "last straw" during that visit, was the conversation the barbers were having, quite openly, regarding their preferences in women. My family is done with Master Barbers. I truly hope the owner takes inventory of changes needed to make this establishment better. The concept of Master Barbers has potential. For now, the series of events encountered at each visit, is unacceptable! read more

After going here for two years my barber Chris does a good job with tapers. Very professional place, he just recently started doing appointments so that made things a lot easier with not having to wait in a line. It's $20 a cut which isn't too bad either read more
