Constantly yelling and threatening the child. As I am aware the educator is still in the centre as I see her often outdoors, her name is either Meena or Mona I could not hear properly when walking by. Shoulder leangth hair and long brown jacket in winter time. Poor choice of a centre!

During my son's stay in ABC, he sometimes come home with bruise in the middle of his spine and we never know why. We were trying to figure out, so we ask a consultant who works with my son, and we talked to the ABC management. ABC management kept brushing us away, telling us it most likely is nothings as kids exaggerating things. They refuse to show us the video recording of the day, and that particular teacher is still working there. If the video recording cant' be shown to parents, i don't understand what's the purpose of having the camera in the classroom?! What are you hiding ABC Academy?! For 4 months, my son was showing consistent hand motion about pinching; it's been consistently the same teacher that's doing it to him. The bruise is always on the back, which also matches what he mentioned that this teacher pinched him in the back. A 3 year old kid does NOT image things or lie so consistently! It brings tears to my eye even now I am typing this comment. I would give 0 star if I can.

In my time there I did experience the negative management that previous reviews have mentioned but in July 2023, new management took over and brought the most incredible positive change to the business. I felt and saw a change in the atmosphere, in the other staff and the children too. I felt more comfortable talking to management, more supported in my programming and teaching and just generally I was much happier at work. I recently just moved country hence why I no longer work in Little Tots but was so sad to have to leave.

Our daughter is excited to go there in the morning and, in the evening, she's had a full and adventurous day. Gloria's great about teaching about sharing and has even started potty training (our daughter is 18 months). The space is completely child oriented, full of stimulating toys and has a cozy sleeping area and kitchen down stairs. My understanding is that it has has been regularly inspected by the ministry and is up to code and that the primary reason why it is not licensed is there is no outdoor play area, which is simply not possible in their current location. However almost every day Gloria takes the kids to various parks, the library, and drop in centers in the neighborhood and regularly takes further excursions including the Riverdale Farm, science center, and strawberry picking. On these outings, Gloria's often meets up with the other Play 'n Stay located near Broadview and Gerrard, which is also owned by Gloria and Sultan and run by Gina. Since we've been there, Gloria has had 5 kids ranging from 9 months to 3 years. This has been a good age-mix for our daughter as it's like a big family where the bigger kids stimulate and interact with the younger ones. Gloria regularly does circle time with singing, activities, and art. She gives them nutritious hot breakfast and lunch and plenty of snacks with fruits and veggies. In the evenings she gives us an update on the naps, bowel movements, and eating and generally how they has gone. When we're concerned about our daughter--if she's feeling under the weather or otherwise--we can text and get prompt responses through out the day. We feel close with the families of the Play 'n Stay, and we feel fortunate to be part of this tight community. We regularly meet them at the parks and farmers markets in the evenings or on the weekends and we communicate over email about important issues relating to raising our kids. It's hard to describe how reassuring it is to know how much love and care Gloria has for our our daughter and the rest of the kids at Play 'n Stay. She and Sultan work incredibly hard to provide a truly wonderful environment and big extended family for our daughter.

Gloria has been an attentive and loving care provider - she is lime a second mother to him and he absolutely loves his time there (I know this because he asks to go on weekends if we pass by). The 20+ years experience really show. Her play based activities encourage the kids to interact with each other while being given lots of learning and cognitive development time too. They mix in lots of arts and crafts, circle time, outdoor activities and even field trips that are done in conjunction with a local Parent Resources drop in centre (Riverdale Farm, strawberry picking, Centre Island, etc). Weather permitting the kids are out every day. The food is nutritious and adventurous too. It is without question that I would recommend Play 'n Stay to any prospective parents looking for quality home-based care. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-6:00, closed holidays and last two weeks of August and December.
