Incredible - one of the best massages I've ever gotten! Brian is very talented at his craft and the facility is clean and relaxing. I will definitely be back. Highly highly recommend!!! read more

Hail Brian, king of massage. I am a law student and have sciatica, constant sore shoulders and hips from the ungodly amount of sitting that I do. Nobody can make my hips and shoulders melt like Brian does. Not to mention he is an absolute gem and so fun to chat with. I am so grateful that I found Brian, his work allows me to sleep like a baby and work comfortably. HE IS THE BEST!!! read more

Everything you have read about Brian is accurate and true! He is AMAZING!! First off he is one of the funniest nicest people you will ever meet and greets you like a friend. Second he is very knowledgeable and smart about his work. He takes the time to explain what he is doing to you so you understand everything. He is intense with the massage for sure and you will feel it the next day in the best way possible. My whole body felt completely different the next day and I felt better instantly. If you are looking for a real massage go to Brian! read more

I came to massage warrior & I was super impressed... This is the type of massage I've been jonesing for for years... Brian was amazing! Now I'm usually a girl who prefers silence during her massages but with Brian, I enjoyed the conversation. We chatted the entire 90 min of my massage about travel. He is hilarious, well versed, and well traveled... I digress...the massage was deep tissue indeed. The conversation was needed to distract me. He hit everything: neck, upper back, lower back, feet, legs, IT band, etc. I felt super relaxed after my massage. And I did it early on a Saturday evening, which derailed quite a few party plans cause I was so relaxed after he did such a great job. I was like, 'Parties? Eh, just one. Would rather veg out.' THAT'S how good he is... I'd love to go back. I'm dreaming of one of his massages again. read more

Brian is excellent. Professional, courteous, and very accommodating. The facility is clean and comfortable. The massage is...wow. Painful. But you feel really good after leaving albeit a bit tired from spending almost an hour in pain. Brian will definitely find your kinks and work through them, even if you didn't know you had kinks in that specific area. I definitely recommend Brian - I'll be back. read more

Brian did not coin himself the "Massage Warrior" in vain! In my opinion, he did that name justice! I have been having a horrible crick in my neck for weeks now. Just when it seemed to have subsided, I did an upper body workout that brought it right back! I was in so much pain I could barely move my neck from side to side. I felt like I wasn't going to be able to function at this point and decided to call Brian, who I had bookmarked awhile back. I wasn't interested in a " feel good experience" I was looking for a " feel better experience" you know the difference right? No? Let me explain.. "Feel good experience" you walk in where you are greeted by a receptionist who escorts you to a little dark room and hands you a towel and slippers to the sounds of Enya softly playing in the background. The aroma of eucalyptus, ( or maybe lavender) are wafting in the air.. you lay there while the ever so accommodating massage therapist rubs smooth warm stones on your back, or tickles you with what they call a Swedish massage. Yes, I said tickle because that's basically what it feels like. Yes, relaxing though it may be, it accomplished NOTHING.. ok well maybe you did " de-stress" a little because you snuck in some nap time while enya lulled you to sleep.. but that's about it. That relaxation quickly comes to a halt and reality sets in when you are in the lobby realizing you are handing over 100 or more bucks and all you got was nap time.. you walk out with that knot still in your back as you wonder what was the purpose of it all!?? Ok, ok maybe I exaggerate just a tad but you get my drift! So now on to the " feel better"......after..... experience.. I'll describe that by sharing my experience with Brian.. Thankfully you don't have to compromise the ever accommodating Masseuse with him. That he is.. none of the frills but who needs those? He works out of a very nice and safe high rise building. His work space is extremely tasteful and comfortable. No, he's not gonna give you the fluffy slippers.. but that's ok because what he IS going to give you is soooo much more.. can you spell R.E.L.I.E.F? ( I hope so cos I'm not sure I did but I digress) Yes, you WILL feel relief! He will listen to you and get a feel for what your problem is and then use his technique to work it out. At least this is what he did for me.. there were a few moves that he had me do with my arms as he worked the knots out.. some might call those moves painful ( not me cos I'm a thug) but let's refer to this feeling as pressure. So yeah, you could feel quite a bit of pressure. As I did these few moves I could feel the pain gradually subsiding. Then the rest of the massage he worked his magic. He wasn't rough or harsh. He simply addresses the needs. Well, long story short ( haha just kidding, I know it's too late for that) I felt sooooo much better immediately. Brian has an awesome energy and you can tell that he has genuine interest in people, I think that is, in part, what accounts for his skill, because he truly wants to help you feel better. I am so happy that I am able to write this awesome review because when you initially try new places and establishments, you never really know what you are walking into, especially when you are entrusting someone with your body in a vulnerable state. Yet Brian quickly earned my trust and made me confident that I was going to get good results, and I wasn't wrong! ( Now I'm moving my neck back and forth just for the fun of it! I better be careful I don't get that crick back lol) I already scheduled another appointment with Brian, not per his request, or any pressure on his part for me to do so, but because I really wanted another massage from him. Thanks Brian! Can't wait for my next massage. read more

I found Brian through a Lifebooker deal for two 90 minute massages. This is definitely for therapeutic purposes - not a spa-like experience with a gentle body rub. The office is very clean and comfortable, albeit simple. I hold a lot of tension in the neck/shoulders/back area, and sometimes I leave a massage feeling a little underwhelmed by the lack of pressure that has been used. However, Brian really gives you a deep tissue massage that works out the kinks and knots. I will definitely book an appointment again in the future. read more

I've been visiting Brian for massages for 6 months now. I love that he offers ART (active release technique), and really appreciate when he uses this myofascial technique on my traps and shoulders. I like my massages hard (deep) and I love that sore feeling the next day. I feel like new after a massage from Brian. I also really like it when he works my glutes. He presses several trigger points and it releases the tightness I have in that area. He addresses exactly what I need during each visit. And the pressure is just right. Brian is professional and friendly, and he is really good at what he does. I'm so happy that I finally found my massage person in NYC. read more

A friend had referred me to Brian several years ago before he set up Massage Warrior, so when I saw the Amazon deal, I jumped on it. Now I'm hooked! I've got back issues that result in a lot of nerve pain in my left hip and leg, and after Brian worked on it, I woke up in the morning not in pain for the first time in, honestly, I can't remember how long. As others have said, Brian's technique is not a spa massage, so if you prefer soothing and relaxing and incense and Enya music, he may not be your man. But if you've got specific knots and kinks you want worked out, it's well worth your time and money (and he's not even that expensive by NY standards!). Brian is also great about scheduling appointments, and the office is clean and comfortable. read more

I have been a visiting Brian for back, shoulder, and neck issues, and let me tell you if you need a massage he is the one to see. He listens intently to your issues and then gets right to work! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM! read more

I bought a deal from amazon local. I have massive rock like knots and it is imperative that i have deep tissue massages. Im always in the hunt for a great masseuse. Brian is nice, profressional and accomadable. His place is neat, clean and well kept. The massage itself was good, he has strong hands and his pressure was good. The reason for four stars is i felt that there were some knots he didnt go into deep enough.... my motto the deeper the better. But overall it was a good experience. read more

Do I ever feel like I got the deal of a lifetime - I knew I NEEDED a TREATMENT and had seen many massage offers on deal sites - but his ad was all about working on aches pains and injuries. From the first moment he put hands on my knotted back - i knew I was in for a fantastic treatment. He knew just what to do , where to go and how much pressure to apply. He explained everything he was doing and why - brilliant. His demeanor is very pleasant and knowledgable - bottom line - the guy is cool as hell and he knows his shit - make your appointment - you will thank me!! read more

Brian was amazing. I didn't know it was possible to feel this refreshed after a massage! Very good service, and very friendly atmosphere. Will come again. read more

Brian is the BEST! I have had a ton of massages, and this is the first time I have posted a review for someone... but this place is that good. I find it very tough to find a masseuse who gives a therapeutic massage that is also enjoyable! I was having a lot of discomfort in my shoulders and back for weeks, and after a deep tissue massage with Brian I felt amazing. He knows exactly what to do without you having to point him around to the sore spots... It was painful at times, but in a good way - in a way that meant he was getting out the knots! After my first massage, I purchased packages for myself and my fiance so that we can see him on a regular basis! read more

Amazing. Went to him after I got a voucher on Lifebooker. Best $35 I've ever spent in my life. I'm a long distance runner and I always have aches and pains. I went to him after my last half marathon and I never knew I could feel that good! This isn't your normal massage, with fancy candles and aromatherapy, this is strictly a feel good ART technique type place with painfully good stretches for your quads, hamstrings, hips and calves (and whatever else hurts ya) He really knows his stuff. He's also quite entertaining haha! read more

Brian is spectacular. He gave me pain relief I had not expected so quickly. Definitely going back

There's a reason Brian has nothing but 5 star reviews - he's earned every one of them. He provides a nice atmosphere where you wouldn't expect it, and he gives a deep massage and really works your muscles. I would absolutely recommend Massage Warrior read more

Addicted. The online deal was over long ago, but a weekly massage is my ritual with Brian. Being over 60, having shoulder pain and lower lumbar problems--the massage calms the pain and is blissfully relaxing. Brian makes me feel totally comfortable during the massage while addressing my sore and kinked muscles. Love it! read more

Brian is a star and great masseuse. I highly recommend and have been going to see him regularly for a couple of months now.

Holy moly...hands down, the best massage I've ever gotten!! All I had to do was tell Brian that I was a runner training for the NYC Marathon and he knew EXACTLY what areas to work on. Just to name a couple of reasons why Brian is so great, his technique is such that he kneads your tense muscles and knots into submission. He also works on areas that I've had ignored in the past - like my IT Band and adductors since I have been dealing with a bout of tendinitis and encountering tightness in my hip flexor. Run, don't walk to see Brian (no pun intended). You will not be disappointed! read more

I'm not a big massage person, even though I should have them more regularly, so when I purchased an Amazon deal for an hour massage at Massage Warrior, I didn't know what to expect. I read many of the reviews and I was impressed at how many people had great things to say. Brian is a rock star!! I had pain in my right shoulder and I explained that to Brian. I left there feeling refreshed and the next day, my shoulder pain was gone. I have to go back if I can find the time. Highly recommended!!! read more

Really disappointed. Skipped a lot of the areas I really wanted worked on. Once I asked him to lighten up on the pressure on one particular muscle he never went back to the technique he had started with. I had really looked forward to working with him but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I also don't like talking during a massage but that's all he wanted to do it seemed. I also hate it when they don't wipe the massage oil off with a hot towel. read more

I had been waking up with severe back pain that persisted throughout the day for a month straight. I tried yoga, the Russian and Turkish baths, stretching, strengthening, changing my mattress - everything - and wasn't making any progress. I had one (very intense) massage from Brian and it made all the difference in the world. Really knowledgeable and clear on what he is doing. Highly recommended! Will be back again I'm sure :) read more

Brian is the go to massage therapist to restore your aching body after you've put your body through the toughest workout. I had chronic hip and back pain and Brian was able to target the trigger points and relieve the pain. I have had of massages and his technique is effective and worth the full price money. Would go back again and refer to others read more

Brian saved me. I was in a lot of pain, but am working in NYC from out of town and didn't know where to go. He was able to fit me in right away and my mobility was improved by 90% by the next day. I'm going back to him again this week because he's that good. read more

i got a 1.5 hour Warrior Massage from Brian the other day.... extraordinary experience. it was pleasant from the second i walked in. i got there on time, he was friendly, we started right away and it was smooth sailing from there. he incorporated ART techniques into the massage and really got in there. it was clear from the start that he was extremely skilled and experienced. i'd HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a solid massage. it is well worth whatever he's charging and i'm already looking forward to my next one. read more

I came to Brian for a massage almost a month ago using a voucher from Lifebooker. Think it was $35 for 1 hr. Best $35 I ever spent. He's an expert in working all the kinks out of your back and shoulders. Brian is also very nice and personable to have a conversation with. I would definitely go back! read more

Brian was great! I had lower back pain for a while and his deep tissue with ART infused massage made it go away!

I've been remiss in reviewing this place, but after a recent massage at another business I remembered how excellent my experiences with Brian were. The difference between what you'll receive here vs a typical NYC massage parlor is enormous. The effects of Brian's massages stay with you well after you leave. I would always have a sense of well being and lightness for a day or two after the session. He's masterful and kind. Highest recommendation. read more

Brian is the most gifted masseuse I have ever seen; he is equally comforting as he is knowledgeable about using therapeutic massage to help the body heal. I was referred to him by my favorite bikram yoga instructor (who is also a personal trainer) after developing a particularly nasty repetitive stress injury in my upper back. I trusted her implicitly, and she trusted Brian. Physical therapy had not helped my injury get better, and when I first went to Brian I could barely raise my left arm a few inches. After only 4 sessions, I noticed a considerable improvement both in my range of motion and pain level. As my upper back healed, I was able to return to bikram, as well as beginning other forms of exercise in the gym including weight training. Brian also advised me what exercises I could do between sessions to help strengthen my back and prevent future injuries. He is nurturing, funny, reliable, and extremely supportive. I still travel periodically to Tribeca to see Brian although I live in Riverdale, the Bronx. I give him the highest possible review without hesitation. read more

I have been seeing Brian for massage for the last couple of years and highly recommend him. He expertly uses a variety of massage techniques and has been fundamental in helping me to recover from running related injuries as well as the normal wear and tear of training. read more

Brian is the BEST, hands down. His massage is absolutely perfect...strong yet comfortable, and completely relieves all the tension I hold in my back. He is absolutely lovely and I feel so fortunate to have found him. I have had a lot of massages and am very particular about my therapists...and I am his newest devotee. Highly recommend! read more

Brian is a magician. He understands what you need and provides expert services. He is very knowledgable.

I've had many massages over the course of my lifetime as I used to be a violinist and always struggled with tightness. I first visited Brian several years ago and the massage was phenomenal. I couldn't go as much as I wanted to just because the location isn't convenient for me but I recently went and my husband as well and we were both floating on air after. He has really great music and the place is just very tastefully decorated. read more
