It hurt, yes, but in the best possible way, and I left feeling light and relieved. Next, I had the pleasure of seeing Michelle, who quickly became a favorite of mine. She is a total sweetheart, and every time I booked with her, I knew I was in for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Michelle has a wonderful ability to use her techniques to refresh and reinvigorate. For the past six months, I've been seeing Cali, and I cannot speak highly enough of her skills. She may be small in stature, but don't let that fool you -- she's mighty! DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!! Beware of fine print that does not exist! I had a really disappointing experience with Massage Heights in Strongsville. I purchased a Groupon for a couples massage, excited to try them out, only to be told that they don't honor Groupon's or vouchers on Saturdays-even though there were plenty of appointments available. Nowhere on the Groupon does it mention this restriction. If there are limitations on when a deal can be used, that absolutely needs to be stated clearly up front. Instead, it feels like a bait-and-switch-take your money, then add rules after the fact. This is not just frustrating, it's poor business practice. If the goal is to get new customers in the door and make a good impression, turning people away over unstated restrictions isn't the way to do it. I definitely would not recommend this place based on how they treat first time customers. read more

I've gone here in the pass and it was okay. I never wanted to become a member I would get gifted these massages by a friend. yesterday I made an appt about 2hrs before coming but realized I needed to reschedule for tomorrow instead so I called back and the employee told me he will have to charge me a 80.00 cancel fee ....ummmm?! no! I just made the appt not even 40mins ago. I'm not paying for anything and the card left on file for TIPS was not ever authorized to be SAVED or CHARGED. but they did so anyways without my permission. I will never ever go back here and neither will my friend and her mother who gifted me the massage. I disputed the charges anyways but it's the principle! I will also tell all my other friends/family to avoid this place and never put your card down on file!! read more

I cane here with my husband to celebrate his birthday. Initially we wanted a couple massage but as new, non-members, it was $104.99 for a 90 min solo massage or $134.99 a person for a 90 min couples massage. The only difference between the two is that in a couples massaged we would have been in the same room. We didn't feel that sharing a room warranted a $60 difference so we opted to have solo massages. I was not asked if I wanted a female masseuse, which I would have preferred. They included complimentary aromatherapy, which is just then spraying the linen with an oil, which irritated my nose most of the massage. The tables aren't heated and I was cold but they do use a weighted blanket. I added on a revitalizing face massage. The oils they used in this were eucalyptus and it wasn't really revitalizing but it did trigger a migraine so if you're sensitive to strong smells, be warned. The massage lotion used also has a menthol or eucalyptus element to it which left me cool and tingly for almost an hour after the massage. Again, I get cold easily as I have an autoimmune disorder, and this was not relaxing for me. I asked for medium pressure, which the masseuse acknowledged, but then he applied much deeper pressure. I told him right away it was too deep and he said he understood and lightened up, but literally 10 min later then pressure was so deep again that I had trouble relaxing because the massage was a bit painful. I felt like this place was very similar to a Massage Envy but I'd choose ME bc the lotion and the heated tables, as well as the dim lighting make for a more relaxing experience over Massage Heights. I would not spend the money to come back here but the experience was ok. Just not great and for the price, I hoped for better. read more

My husband and I are monthly members to Strongsville Massage Envy. We have been members for 2 1/2 years now. We will highly recommend this establishment. They are delightful and friendly when we walk in the door. They know who we are and never have to tell them our names. This must mean that they hold onto their front desk staff. We try and get the same massage therapist every time because they know our trouble spots and we can get right to our massage quickly. Michelle and Will are now not just our massage therapists, they are our friends. I suggest you give Massage Heights a try. read more

I have been going here (Strongsville MH) for monthly massages since 2020... I MAYBE had 1 or 2 that were "not great", but I am truly satisfied with my sessions there. Front desk ladies have always been very friendly and I have a couple favorite massage therapists with whom I have sessions. Today I had a fantastic 90 minute with Summer -- so amazing -- working on all my aches and pains and feeling great! I typically don't go for memberships, but I am continuing it because it is a great deal, and I enjoy the services there so much. read more

Actually I was so relaxed I drifted off to sleep many times and caught myself snoring at least 4 times. I was very disappointed during my visit to massage heights. I was told to arrive early so I did. As I waited in the waiting area the two women behind the desk were so unprofessional, dropping F bombs and talking crap about customers and co-workers. I couldn't believe their complete lack of respect for me sitting there, spending good money to come in and relax! It was the complete opposite of relaxing! In the midst of them complaining the one yelled out to me to ask if I wanted to sign up for a membership. Clearly I declined. The massage and message tech were great but considering how unprofessional the staff was, I'd never recommend anyone go here! She even tried to force me again into a membership when I left, threatening that if I didn't sign up today then my next service would be $160 for a massage. Don't bother wasting your money here, there's plenty of other spas who provide a calming and relaxing environment. read more

Let's start with the positive: I requested a therapist with a firm touch and Maria was awesome! Now the not so positive. My in-laws has given me a gift card to use and after my 1st massage their clerk attempted to hard sell me on a membership. Given upcoming travel it did not make sense to join. When booking my second massage with Maria I was never told the rate literally doubles (from $49 to $99) if you are a non-member. I couldn't believe my 60 minute massage cost $108 (before gratuity) but did not want to make it an issue so paid and left. Long story - ask $$ before you go. I will never be back. read more

I won a gift certificate for a 60 min massage. I called to schedule and wanted to upgrade to 90 mins, which I knew I would be responsible for the additional 30 mins. The lady said she needed the info for the 60 min voucher and my credit card for the 30 mins at that time to book the appt which didn't seem out of the ordinary, but I had to keep giving her the info, which I thought maybe she was new and trying to figure out the system. After 20 mins on the phone with her, she says ok everything went through, that I was all set other than the tip, which I would handle that day. Day of appt I go to check out and all of a sudden, the gift card info is gone, but they can see that a gift card was used. All the girls behind the counter roll their eyes and say "oh, it was Gail that booked the appt, another mistake she made." I ask what they are talking about and the manager Amy tells me that Gail no longer works there and she messed up a lot of peoples accounts, but not to worry, they'll figure it out. She asks for the gift card which I didn't have since I thought it was redeemed at the time of booking. I told her I would go home and look for it but the appt was booked 2 months prior and didn't think I still had it considering I was told the appt couldn't be booked without that info. I called the next day and told Amy I couldn't find it, which she replied "we already charged your credit card." She then goes on to say that they don't store gift card info, only credit card info. I reminded her that I'm not an employee there so how I was supposed to know that her employee Gail was making a mistake is beyond me, and that I would not be paying for Gail's mistakes. Amy became rude and argued that no one would ask for that info at the time of booking and hung up on me. I happened to be in the area, so 10 mins after she hung up on me, I stopped in the location. I asked for her managers name which she kept telling me she was the manager. I said no, YOUR manager which she laughed and refused. I said ok, give me the number to corporate which she said I would have to look up that info myself and to leave or she was calling the cops. She admitted her employee, that has since been fired, messed up people's accounts, then charged my card for her mistake, and is now refusing to give me any contact info for a boss or corporate. I said "just give me the number for corporate" and this lady had the audacity to call 911!! I said "are you kidding me?! This is NOT an emergency!" It's abuse of 911 resources and thank God I was video recording since I had a feeling this woman was going to be less than professional, I just had no idea she was going to go that low. I wanted to like this place. I've been to the Crocker Park location, and my experience was good. I get massages on a fairly regular basis. The staff here was friendly, and my therapist was friendly, but incredibly rough; the pressure on my deep tissue massage was good, but at one point, he literally stuck his elbow in my shoulder blade to the point where it hurt; what is the point of digging your elbow into someone's bone...? Overall, it felt like he was inexperienced. He placed hot stones on my back, which I tolerated okay--but here I am, 8 hours later, with perfectly round burns on my extremely sore back. He spent 90% of this massage on my back, and 10% working on my neck and shoulders--which was what I had stated I needed help with at the very start. I was shocked when it was over, because I had barely spent any time facing up. I get deep tissue massages almost every time I go, and I have NEVER felt sore with back pain like this. Maria is an absolute life changer. I walked into the studio a broken man with acute on chronic back pain. I walked out of my first visit feeling loose and relaxed. I kept going back and describing my current state of discomfort. Maria worked and worked with me and now I am pain free and have maintained that state for a number of months. Total life changer. Pros: Location. The space is beautiful and full of health items you can buy on the spot. Cons: I called to make a complaint a while back. The receptionist was very rude to me. I talked about some side effects regarding my deep tissue massage. I had absolutely no issues with the man himself (very nice) . It was more that the other staff members blamed me for making a appointment with him. By the way, another staff member suggested he was the best for my needs. Futhering on, I had pain for more that 48 hrs and took all their advice. I even had to call my PCP. I have been getting deep tissues for years, no issues prior to coming here. Literally none. I am not sure why I am getting emails regarding going back for the same service that I complained about via - phone. I really did not want to write a review. I told them I did not want write any. After trying to find another place I noticed others had the similar issues. Initially, I called the front desk and they told me my issues were "just me" and " I told you". It is clear that the people who are not licensed are more of the issue. As a supervisor, I can say that finding other people to fill a entry level job easier than finding other providers. I will not be returning. I asked my peers never to get me gift cards to this site. I rather take the pain and try elsewhere. Other than the scenery this place had little to offer. Please stay away from this location my daughter and myself have been a member for two years so yesterday there was four of us that went in for a massage, that service was great came out and went to pay Amy the retreat manager was the most rude and incompetent person I have ever came in contact with I wanted to split the payment my daughter and I pay then I pay for my sister and other daughter. She tried to charge me more that what it should be I told her we was members and she argued with me that we wasn't I called the other location and their manager told her that we was as well she still couldn't figure out how to do this told me it couldn't be done even though I do this every month for the last two years! She ended up writing my card numbers down and I asked that I be called before I was charged and I wasn't and now I have 5 different charges on my accounts! This isn't ok! I asked for a corporate number and I was told there isn't one also asked how do I speak to someone other than her because she obviously has no clue in her role, I again was told there isn't anyone! That was all a lie I called the other location and was able to get a corporate number! read more

Had a massage from Lynn and Shawna recently it was excellent. Front staff was very sweet and helpful. I have gone there before and will continue to use them for my massage needs. Lynn used cups in the session. Great to ease my back pain. Highly recommend trying a cupping session. Shawna gave me one of the best relaxation massages ever. read more

I am disappointed the cashier person was unable to figure out how to use a visa gift card. My charge was $138 and has a $100 gift card....Very frustrating when I made the appointment they said they accepted Visa/ MC gift cards. Unable to use my gift card and had to sadly endure an additional expense. This was my only charge for the weekend and a fraudulent charge appears on my card for $958 for an airbnb...... be careful folks. read more

I must say this location is very nice! The atmosphere is relaxing and smells and looks very clean. I went in for a relaxation massage and it was a great experience. Heather my LMT was quite professional and very responsive when I asked for changes in pressure. She was able to get a tough knot out from my lower back other massage therapists weren't able to! I had originally loved this place. The masseuse was skilled and attentive. It was great. I prepaid for three massages at a time. The first three were great. I paid for another three... Then it all went wrong. I didn't get time to go and just banked two of them. Then I got charged again. The person who did my renewal for three massages apparently didn't know what she was doing. I just wanted three and no recurring charge, which she handwrote on my contract. Apparently they don't do that. When I called about the unauthorized charge, they tried to tell me I needed thirty days written notice and then you get charged again. I told them I had it in writing, and they almost didn't honor it saying the girl was not trained well. That's not my problem. She said it was OK at the time. So we're still trying to get that figured out (two weeks and still nothing. She's waiting to hear from "corporate".). Now, I decide to go in for one of my banked massages at a different location at Crocker Park. I got my massage and was happy... Until they stopped me at the door saying they called Strongsville and they said I had no banked massages. What?! I call them and the girl says my record has four visits on it and gave me the days. It should also say I have six total prepaid. But she won't help me and says she'll have the director call me back. This is ridiculous. I should at least get what I paid for. This place has turned a love into hate. So much for relaxation. Edit: The first business day after I posted this review, I got a resolution that I am happy with. It seems this entire debacle stemmed from one ill-trained person. I manage a customer support team myself and I can understand how one weak link can make an awful impression on a client. I'm leaving the review up but changing my rating to also reflect the amazing, skilled masseuses. My case is a unique one. I may go back, but I'll make sure I don't get a new desk employee if anything sounds fishy. If you've read this far, this situation is the only reason why the massage therapists here didn't get five stars. read more

I had JT he did a great job on the massage. My complaint is you could tell he was a smoker and the smokers breath nearly made me nauseous. I would ask that they advise the therapists to refrain from smoking or use mints or brush their teeth. I had the six month plan and have not had a chance to use them all, I wanted to cancel(their prices are high after the introductory rate), but if you do that you will lose the massages you already paid for! Well first I would like to say that I had gone a few times as my husband bought a package. I am a very overworked mother. after 50 hours of work each week, I return home to tend to the children and the house. I was in love with the fact that I could relax and have me time. However, the professional was not very professional. She talked nearly the ENTIRE time. I want to relax, I am not there to socialize with you. Second, she made several comments about my weight. Yes I am a tad overweight, however, she continued to recommend regular exercise and such for myself. In my opinion, if I don't ask you for weight-loss advice, don't give it. This is not a gym and you are not a personal trainer or doctor. Not very relaxing! I let the other massages expire without returning. read more

The first thing that went awry was they messed up my appointment and insisted that I had one scheduled for 5:00 when I know that I scheduled a 2:00. I was glad that my therapist had an opening anyway!. You know that saying "Too many cooks in the kitchen"? If I could guess I would say that this is what makes this business fail. First I walked in and there were 4 people behind the counter. I announced who I was and one of the many staff (not my therapist) brought me the appropriate questionnaire form to fill out. I filled it out and brought it back to the counter and the same woman (Andrea) came to go over the form before I started my massage. In the middle of going over the form, another woman came over and said "We don't have time for this. We can come back to this later." Let me state that I was on time for my appointment. Wow! Not only was this unprofessional but also just very abrupt and with the attitude of "Get them in, get them out." First of all I have never gone over a questionnaire with someone who was not actually going to do my massage. Second, it is not good business practice to forego the health questionnaire. I have problems with my lower back and thought it wise to disclose this. I had a mediocre massage with no reference as to my lighting or music preference. My therapist did a hard sell with the products available for purchase. By this time I was really getting turned off and decided that I would not return. Another strange thing was that there was this rule about having to leave my shoes at the front of the door so that someone could hold onto them for me. What??? Are they afraid that someone is going to take off without paying? This was beyond me and I have had regular massages from the time I was 25. I am 50 now so you do the math. When it was over I went to the counter to pay and saw the tackiest thing! A sign is placed on the counter regarding tipping and the recommended percentages. Again, I have NEVER seen this in a salon before. Andrea commented about the hot stone treatment which I never got. Only then did I remember that I scheduled this as an extra. Because she had to remove this from my bill it took forever as she did not know how to do it. Someone completely different this time came to check me out.
