Do not get your prenatal massage here, so not worth it! And you don't find out how not worth it it is until you see your massage therapist. Price point was wildly unreasonable, but I was desperate to feel some relief. I scheduled a prenatal massage with an add-on. When I arrived, the massage therapist told me all the areas she could NOT work on, I wasn't eligible for any of the add-ons, and I could only get light pressure. If anyone I spoke with while scheduling this appt, or even if the prenatal massage description online included any of this, I would definitely NOT have made an appt here. On top of this, I had prepaid for the massage and an add-on, so the add-on went to waste. read more

I have gone through a handful different massage therapists; my current preferred is Chi who consistently delivers a relaxing deep-tissue massage. I almost always opt for the hot stone treatment. I just had a fantastic massage by Kayo at Massage Heights in Rancho Peñasquitos. She was able to work out some really tight knots without causing me pain in the process. Exactly what I want in a massage - to relieve the stress and knots while still finding the process relaxing and not painful. Magic hands! I've been a member of Massage Heights for years now and honestly, I have never had a bad massage there. So many great therapists. And I never feel pressure to buy anything, not even before I was a member. I can't say the same for other massage businesses with a similar membership structure. I was a member for a while and has great massages. The facials were ok. My biggest complaint is their membership program. The only way to cancel is through email. I could not do it in person or through the phone. There were many times when I could not get an appointment or use all my credits. This I wanted to cancel. I emailed them in November. They responded that they received the email and such. My membership was never cancelled. I have called and they credited my card then charged me again. It is now March and I am still trying to get this resolved. If you are looking to go once- great. Just don't join their membership program. read more

I wanted to check this place out, but decided to go elsewhere after a bad interaction with front desk staff. I called because I had a question about the online booking platform, and the person twice turned to other guests without asking me to hold first. I understand needing to check people in, but I would have appreciated the courtesy of being asked to hold before she just start speaking over me to other people. Things went downhill from there; I tried to ask questions regarding the first time user prices posted online, and the employee kept interrupting me. I felt like I couldn't get a word in edgewise. She repeatedly seemed to think I was quoting the introductory massage price and kept telling me the prices for facials were higher, and even though I kept agreeing and tried to point out that the website has a separate section for facials, the conversation somehow kept coming back to the introductory massage price and her saying that the online prices were confusing, didn't match what she saw in her system, and I would pay more. All in all, worst customer service interaction I've had in quite some time. Since I wasn't allowed to explain what I was seeing online and kept getting cut off, attached is a partial screenshot of the price list for first-time user facials. To say Sol is a master is to say because I teach preschool, I can also teach college. I made a last minute appointment because my back was in a lot of pain. I'm a member and I've seen a few people now. Sol spent 45 minutes on my back, then the rest of the time on my foot, he worked on the areas I asked him to, but only on those areas. I was really hoping for a full body massage. I left with only one foot being worked on and my arms not even touched. During the massage I had to flip over because I was in more pain then I came in. When I called to book my massage no one told me there was an extra master fee on top of my monthly membership, so I was shocked to say the least. The receptionist was great and offered me additional services for my next time in. As someone who's had hundreds of massages for my back problems, this was probably the worst one I've ever had. read more

I have seen different people at this location but the two I like the best are Deaine and Shireen. Both of them are great. They listen to your concerns and what areas of your body that is bothering you and they'll focus on this areas in addition to your entire body. They both provide deep tissue in addition to lighter ones. I would suggest trying them both since they provide slightly different types of massages, but both are recommended. read more

We did a Groupon for two massages and they went well. I did a prenatal massage and my husband did a deep tissue massage. The massage establishment is located in a shopping center. Right next to a grocery store so their is plenty of parking. Upon entering it gives you a spa feel it's nice and clean. The massage itself was good specially being pregnant. I loved it. They only thing was the bed got turned on and gave off a lot of heat. When pregnant you need to be very cautious about temperatures. They also place some kind of weighted blanket on you so it felt like I was way too hot for a second. When I notified my therapist she immediately turned it off. We got the 1hr massage it took a little bit to sign the paper work so we got in and settled 10 min in and she stopped with over 10min left for me to change. It made the massage feel very short it's not the full 1hr. Overall it was good and you can't beat the Groupon price. If you can get the deal I'd recommend! read more

I've been their member since 2019, and I absolutely love my massage therapist. Unfortunately I had very disappointing experience with the managements. I've been paying my monthly membership using gift cards so I didn't really track how much I've been charged since last November. My gift cards ran out so I got charged by credit card in May, but it was $20 more than my usual amount. I called them and I talked to the manager. She told me their company increased the price last November and sent a notification through email beforehand. I double checked my email and I had no email received from them regarding the increase. What upsets me was that I've been charged $20 more without them notifying me since November according them. I understand they have to increase the price over time but they can't charge customers without letting them know. Even if the cooperation emailed customers, Massage Heights Rancho Penasquitos had to let each customer know because I'm a member with them, not for the cooperation. I was more disappointed when the manager asked me if I want to cancel my membership. Clearly, it seemed they don't value my membership even though I was a member for 5 years. read more

I bought a Groupon to Massage Heights for 60 minutes massage with one elevation. Making an appointment was easy and they had a lot of availabilities. The location was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The facility was clean and well maintained. I was assigned Chi as my therapist. The massage was pleasant and I was comfortable the whole time. I especially appreciated how the table had the option of lowering the chest area so you're not pressing on your boobs. Girls, you know what I'm talking about. After the massage I inquired about the membership. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the front counter staff. They were very unclear about the parameters of the membership and I felt they weren't knowledgeable about it. I literally had to read the entire contract and ask multiple questions to get to the answer. For example, you cannot cancel the contract unless you move away. That wasn't explained to me even after I asked about it. Also I questioned about the 1 free month for signing up for 12 months, and they weren't able to explain that to me. I can't tell how the free month will be awarded. Honestly I still don't know. I still ended up signing up for the membership because I enjoyed the massage. However, I don't think I would be able to recommend membership to others. At least not the RP location. read more

I've had a massage at two different Massage Heights locations and they've both been average experiences. (I understand they are likely under different ownerships). This location in the Peñasquitos Vons strip mall (If you're looking at Vons, Massage Heights is to the right of it) is spacious and looks luxurious when you walk in, although I couldn't help thinking that the huge lobby was a waste of retail space that they could do so much more with! They do sell some brands of facial cleansing lines like Dermalogica. Besides massages, they offer facials as well. FIRST...THE UPSELL The massage therapist first tried upselling me on a CBD oil option without even telling me the cost. I declined as I feel like I was already paying enough for a massage. I did get a complimentary 'deep breath sniff' of an aromatherapy oil at the beginning of the treatment. THE ROOM WAS NICE The massage room was nice, the typical low lit massage room with soft lighting, soft sheets and relaxing music. The surroundings were quiet, a real plus as sometimes you can hear lots of goings-on outside massage rooms. A SO-SO EXPERIENCE Despite requesting a deep tissue massage (60 mins, which is really 50 minutes, but in my case I calculated 45 minutes) and reporting certain muscular complaints on my body, the massage was somewhat unremarkable and there was no extra lingering on my trouble spots. The massage was peppered with talk (which I don't mind) but mostly about the massage therapist's troubles and stresses, which didn't exactly alleviate mine. I didn't find them to be the most professional. NO AFTER CARE No water or advice was offered after the massage. There is a water cooler with small paper cups on the far side of the lobby, but I wasn't directed to this. Even some other strip mall massage places I've frequented have given me a bottle of water or offered cucumber water in the lobby. The next day, my jaw was sore from pressing awkwardly into the massage table head hole. I had tried to adjust myself, but I couldn't get quite comfortable. THE BOTTOM LINE Signs near the register suggest a $20-$25 tip. Credit cards are accepted. I was given the first-time introductory price of $89.99 (April 2024), but unless you sign up for their membership, their regular massage prices are more on par with a fancy spa or resort. Fortunately, there was no hard sell from the front desk employees for the membership. I tried it, but I won't be back as the massage experience was just so-so for me and I really didn't feel much effect from it during the following 24 hours. I kind of felt like I'd wasted my money. When I'm spending $100++ for a massage, I want to really feel the soothing benefits and effects. I will continue my search for a massage person that really blows my socks off. Note: Plenty of complimentary parking in the strip mall. read more
