I'll start by saying this place is clean and a pretty nice place. They have a ton of massage rooms. The massage itself isn't something I'd pay for again. It was more like a rub your arms rather than a massage. I was there for a 90 min deep tissue massage for $160 with hot stones. The stones were only used as a massage tool when rubbing my arms. Nothing placed on my back like others have done. I indicated during my check in that my main area of focus was neck, back, legs, and feet. Over 30 min was spent rubbing my arms which I didn't ask for. I mentioned it to the masseuse when she said she was done why she didn't touch my feet or legs and she said she spent too much time on my arms and hands. Again, I told her I specifically asked for certain things and she just said time was up. 3 times during the massage I asked for more pressure and she said that's the most she normally does. I was offered to come back for another massage at the same price as "we're sorry it wasn't up to expectations" offer. If you're looking for a place that cares what type of massage you're asking for, what body parts are needing attention, and isn't just getting you in and out please look somewhere else. This place isn't worth the cost. read more

I called last week to get the number for corporate and was given 2 numbers. One was 888-909-0974, which just rang without anyone ever picking up or a voicemail coming on. The other was 210-402-0777, which states on its recording to contact your specific location to get the information because they're all franchises. I called this location about 4 times and was first told she's in a meeting with the new management as they are going through ownership change and then was told Jen, the "Director" would give me a call back with the information. Well she NEVER did. Fast forward to today and I finally speak to her. She refused to give me her superiors contact information and told me that there's no one that can help me; even though, she's not the owner. She kept pressuring me to let her "help" me even AFTER I explained that she couldn't and I had already spoken to her a couple of months back. She also RUDELY placed me on hold without my consent befit was "transition" time and she has to check guests in. She gave me a generic email massageheights@massageheights.com to reach "corporate" and then told me they filter through the emails and my co cern would come right back to her! What kind of unprofessional foolishness is this? Jen if YOU cannot help me, why would I send an email that's going to come right back to YOU?! That makes absolutely NO SENSE. She also mentioned there wasn't anything she wasn't able to help someone with, despite me telling her she couldn't help me! I've been going to the Massage Heights in Lee's Summit for over a year and love my therapist Hannah. I've had chronic shoulder pain for years and she has been a big part of helping manage it with regular deep tissue massages. She always seems to find the parts of my back that hurt the most, works them out and gives me exactly the deep pressure my back requires. In reading some of the other reviews it's true, I have encountered times when it has taken a while to check out due to computer issues. Usually I'm so happy after my treatment I don't mind too much and it has never been more than 5 or so extra mins. Jeanette at the front desk has always gone above and beyond to take care of my challenging schedule requests and questions. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is due to the computer system, definitely not the people! read more

I've been a member for about a year now. At first I was pleased with every massage but the past 4-5 appointments have been very disappointing and I have decided to cancel my membership and go elsewhere. I pay extra for a 90 minute massage and in spite of that, the therapists have seemed to be rushed. The past two massages, my therapist sat down for most of the massage. Feeling for tight spots and applying a slight pressure and then moving on to another spot and applying a slight pressure for a couple of minutes is not my idea of a massage. Grumpy is NOT how you are supposed to leave a massage. I have gotten numerous massages in the past, and since this place is convenient to my home, I thought I would try it out. The receptionist who scheduled my appointment was very sweet and helpful, and informed me that since it was my first time, a hot stone upgrade would be included. Great! Onto the massage...I had Chris, who was pretty gruff. He went over the usual questions, and I made it clear that I did not want a full body massage, but to focus on shoulders and back, and especially between my shoulder blades. Well, while laying in the very chilly room on a not-warmed table with the lights on (?!?), he proceeded to give very generic long strokes on my lower back and spent about 10 seconds out of an hour on my shoulders. What??? If that wasn't frustrating enough, at the checkout I am quoted $20 more that I originally thought. When I brought this to the sales woman's attention, she said it was because of the hot stones. I told her that she lady who scheduled me said it was included and that I would not have upgraded had it been an extra charge. With a snooty attitude and no apology, they (rightly) took the charge off. I expect to get what I ask for in a pleasant, warm environment when I pay for a massage. Then canceling was a nightmare, while anyone can sign you up and take your money only the manager can cancel your membership. Took three separate calls to finally cancel. Buyer beware. In the end, it was either pay another 90 so you have 60 days to use your prepay (which thanks to the pandemic i have even more) or cancel now and you get nothing. Nice. read more

I just want to say that I went in and they talked me into a membership. A monthly fee and you're able to get one massage a month and if you don't use that month, it rolls over and I agreed and I had good massage therapists for the year. I didn't go in for a few months and my membership was considered inactive and then they told me to be able use my credits. I would have to make it active again so I agreed to that and end up getting getting charged for two months instead of one, and nobody told me why and again my fault because I didn't pursue it, but then ended up booking another massage and I told them I wanna be able to use my free credits and not pay for anything and then they said we can fix that. I started booking appointments again and they would call and cancel. Then the third time they said my therapist was no longer with them so then I noticed they have been charging my credit card $10 a month and I haven't noticed and that my fault I called them today and today they are saying that there is a $10 a month fee to keep your account active so that you can use your credits if you don't want to pay your monthly membership well if that's the case why didn't they tell me that originally and then charge me for two months they do the bait and switch I asked for a refund and I think it's fair that I get one month back of my membership and all the $10 they charged me and I have 4 credits because I would've been willing to pay the $10 a month but nobody never said anything and they said oh yes you were told so I would not go in because they bait and switch you and they don't communicate everything to you and they will flat out tell you they do not give refunds so buyer beware They may not bait and switch you on purpose but the communication is very bad read more

And, during my service I was quoted a price for an add-on service, but NONE OF THESE PRICES WERE HONORED at check out. The add-in service was TWICE what I was quoted by the therapist in the room!! And to make matters more frustrating they would only accept half the value of my $200 gift card as payment as well. I signed up for a year long membership but due to health problems I was unable to use all of my monthly massages and they accrued. I asked them not to renew the membership but they then put me on a "month to month" plan and continued to charge my card and I continued to accrue up to about 11 massages before I called and confirmed they canceled. I was assured I could still use all the of massages I paid for (about $500 worth at this point). I was able to come in and use one after I cancelled. When I called again today I was told I would not be allowed to use the ones that remained unless I signed up for ANOTHER year membership. I am furious. I had a 90 minute massage with hot stones today. Absolutely amazing massage!! The entire experience was relaxing. The lady at the front was friendly and very helpful when explaining membership options. My therapist took me back to my room and asked what I wanted to focus on and offered aromas and oils that were complimentary and explained how to get on the bed. She said she would be right back but she would knock before she came in. And she was right back! We got started and it was the best massage... Relaxing all over but really deep in the areas that needed extra work. After the massage, the lady at the front helped me again with membership information but I was super relaxed and couldn't focus. She stuck with me and helped it all make sense through my foggy brain. I can't wait to go back and start using my membership! I definitely recommend giving Massage Heights in Lee's Summit a try. I would like to say i received a wonderful massage....but have been dealing with them taking money for the last 3 months from my account even after my contractual agreement had ended. When I call to get this matter resolved the manager or owner is never available. Now $210 later this matter has still not be resolved. Offering a complimentary massage does not return the money you have taken out. I will not be recommending this locatiom or business yo anyone. People dont like to have their money messed with especially when you have no control over when they are taking it out. read more

I have been a contract member for several years. When I went in today, they were advising a free foot massage special with the purchase of a 90 minute massage. Since I was getting a 2 hour massage, I asked if this would apply to me. No, it was only for people who purchased a 90 minute massage on site. I asked if there were ever any incentives for contract customers and was told, not really. You would think Massage Heights would appreciate and honor their contracted customers but I guess not. I really like my therapist but he stopped 15 minutes before my time was up today. I can understand 5 minutes but not 15. So for an hour, I really only got about 40 minutes of actual massage. I was there 15 minutes early but he didn't actually start the massage until 10 minutes after my allotted time then he stopped 15 minutes before my time was up. I have paid for an hour or two hours so I believe I should at least get within 5 minutes of that paid time. I'm canceling my contract when I use up all my massages. read more

I have been going to this locations for the past several years and have found a masseuse that has worked with me to know the pressure I prefer and I always have a great experience. As with anyplace you have to find the therapist. I have been on the membership for the past three years and try to go at least once a month and will usually do 2 hours. read more

Several months ago I was given a 1 hour massage as a gift from my boss. At the appointment the therapist asked if I would like a face massage. Not being familiar with the services offered here I assumed this was included. The therapist did not tell me there was a charge. I was not informed of the charge until after my appointment. Today I went in for a massage (a gift from my husband) and the therapist suggested hot stones. Remembering what happened last time I asked the cost and was told $20 so I agreed to the service. When I was finished I was told cost for the hot stones is $40, $20 only if you're a member. If therapists are going to offer services in addition to what is booked they need to quote correct costs. Is this done on purpose to pad the bill? In both instances it ruined the massage for me because there was an issue at checkout. All feelings of relaxation dissipated. Once I use the remainder of my gift card I will not go back to Massage Heights. read more

This was my first experience with Massage Heights. I was scheduled for an hour long massage @2pm Saturday 2/28. Since it was my first time, I was told to be there at least 10 minutes early. I arrived around 1:45, and by 1:50 I had filled out the paperwork and returned it to the ladies at the front desk. I stood in the lobby, and waited. I never had any of the ladies say it would be just a little late or anything. Just after 2:20pm my masseuse, walked into the lobby from the back. A few minutes later she had me walk back with her, and it was close to 2:25 by the time I laid down on the massage table for my 2pm massage. The massage itsef was nice. However, in between 1:00 and 1:05 the masseuse had me get up and said she would be waiting in the hall for me. I'm assuming this was to try and get closer to back on schedule for the day...? I never had anyone apologize to me, and when I got to the front to pay, everyone acted normal behind the counter, when they said my total for the "1 hour" massage that lasted around 35 minutes. To not acknowledge they were way behind schedule, or offer any sort of apology for all of this, I left with a terrible first impression. I did not say anything, and just kind of left in shock of the terrible customer service. I will not be back. read more
