I didn't plan for anything crazy and expected a run in the mill therapist doing their "standard" treatment. I was assigned to Will and told him all my pain points. He took note and I will say this was one the of the best massages I had in a very very long time. He was able to release a lot of tension from sports related injuries. His technique was spot on what I needed. I highly highly recommend Will and will def see him for future treatments. I just hope he isn't completely booked when I need to see him. read more

Whenever I get a massage with my favorite therapist, Jacob, I leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. He is great at his job. He inquires about how my body is feeling and is attentive during the massage. I know it's been a relaxing experience when I snort myself awake. Charlene is my go-to esthetician. When I see her, we pick up conversation like we just saw each other the day before. She makes me feel very comfortable and I take her expertise to heart. I just had my first facial with Elizabeth at Massage Envy in Santa Clara, CA, and it was truly the best experience ever! Unfortunately this place has gone completely downhill. I have been a faithful member of massage envy for the last 10 years. I started at the massage envy in Fairfield initially then later on switched my membership to Vacaville since it is closer to my house. Sadly they are not loyal to their members and obviously they don't care if they lose members or not. Last year they informed me of an increase in their member prices by $5, from $60 to $65, which wasn't a big deal. It was understandable with everything else going up like food, gas etc due to inflation it's expected. However, this year the prices continue to increase and without notice. The day before my appointment I received a text from massage envy saying my payment didn't go through so I updated my payment info and text them back to try again. I was then told that prices have now gone up another $10 from $65 to $75. At this point I am shocked because I was not given any notice of the increase in price. I checked my emails and spam and had not received any notice. The pictures are screenshots from the conversation via text. How disappointing to be a faithful member with them all of this time... so I not only cancelled my appointment for the next day I cancelled my entire membership. Also via text, if I am telling you that I didn't receive the email and sending screenshots, you shouldn't be telling me that "it's likely in spam" when I have already checked spam. The appropriate response should be "I am sorry you weren't informed" and then go from there but instead it felt like this person that was texting from massage envy was trying to prove a point or something which is super sad when it comes to dealing with customers if you think this is appropriate. So from this conversation I cancelled. If they had honored the original price for my massage the next day since I was uninformed (which was their fault) then I might've kept my monthly membership with the price increase and just did one massage a month instead of two. But instead of them taking accountability for their error, seems that they just wanted to be right. The customer service here is really lacking now and the front staff can be super rude, It wasn't this way before. The customer service here used to be wonderful. Sadly the manager didn't even reach out to me so I am thinking maybe this text came from the manager since they never said there name. Now that they are charging the same prices as most spa's in the area I will just get my massages at a spa now. Id never pay $130 for a 60 min massage here it's not worth that price. Like others have said if u cancel your massage within 24 hours they will charge u but if they cancel on you which they have many many times they don't do anything besides try to find another appointment. It's almost impossible to get another appointment because most therapist are booked out for weeks and weeks. It's not surprising that staff keep leaving this place if they don't respect customers I'm sure they don't treat staff well. I have witnessed several of my favorite massage therapist leave to go elsewhere. Sadly I will never come back to massage envy but if you decide to give this place a try, Nicole and Arnold are the best they have here and I've tried several over the last 10 years. read more

If you are wanting/needing to cancel, prepare for their games** I made several attempts to cancel my membership with this location less than a month after becoming a member. When I initially signed, Brianna informed me that as long as there is no Massage Envy within 25 miles of my location, cancelling will be fine. I'm a military member & circumstances recently changed & am moving overseas, so of course cancelling before being charged fits that criteria. I called 4 separate times and got nothing but the runaround and obvious stalling from their front desk staff, only to show up in person, in the middle of packing my home, for the manager to finally inform me of documents she'll "need" to cancel which could've easily been communicated a week earlier when I initially called. My messages weren't passed on to her until my 4th call... SUCH an inconvenience because by the time Im able to get the documents over to the manager, they would've already charged me for the month which is what I wanted to avoid, but is clearly their tactic. read more

Unfortunately, my experience was TERRIBLE. After a long, tough year I was gifted with a massage by my sister so I booked about a week ago and opted to get an extra foot message too! Needless to say- I was really looking forward to the experience. The woman at the desk was INCREDIBLY SWEET, warm, and welcoming. She thoroughly checked me in and had me walk in to get massaged. I had Maria. She asked me what I was looking to get out of my massage so I explained where I was sore & shared that I'm just looking forward to having a full body and foot massage. She immediately told me I would not be able to get a full body massage and told me I was late. She told me she can only massage me until 50 minutes past the hour because she had another client coming. I was very confused, as I would expect to be notified of this when I was checking in...rather than going back and forth with her, I told Maria I will just get the foot massage that way she will have plenty of time for her next client & I will get my full body massage another time when there is no press for time. She said ok, then walked out the door. Again, I was confused as I've never been there before and didn't know if she was gathering her materials, wanting to me to change, getting more paperwork, etc... When she came back in the room she said I need to undress and which way to sit. The foot massage was decent, but I definitely wasn't able to relax after the displeasing altercation with Maria. After about 15 minutes, I asked Maria how long does the foot massage last. She told me 20 minutes. She continued to say that I will still be paying for the full body massage and the foot massage. Again- confusing. She was explaining that it was a package so I don't have the choice of choosing one or the other. That didn't make sense to me. Maria went as far as telling me "this is not nail salon". After that comment I felt all benefit of doubts I was giving her were over. She was being openly rude for absolutely no reason. I asked her to stop massaging me so I can speak to the wellness coordinator that helped me when I arrived. She was incredibly understanding, assured me that their establishment is absolutely not ran that way, and apologized for the horrible experience. read more

This place deserves a better review. Although I consider it a best kept secret. First, I go for massage. I am regular client that goes monthly as part of my health maintenance. During the pandemic it was a bit difficult to hold on to one masseuse, but once I found Christina.. I was good to go!! She is amazing, talented and very friendly. I feel so comfortable with her, I leave so relaxed! The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. In fact they helped me book a facial treatment last minute during their special. I really enjoy getting my regular massage treatments with Massage Envy. I have been a member here for awhile and love it. I get to see my regular therapist and it gives me a reason to go at least once a month and treat myself. I see Jeni and she is wonderful! I carry a lot of stress and tension in my shoulders. My masseuse was Arnold. He was very nice and explained what he was going to do for the massage. I am unimpressed with the poor customer service at this location. They never answer the phones or ever even return calls when you have to leave a message. I also had a membership with my old card on file and called in to update my card. The person proceeded to "supposedly" update it. Low and behold, my old card was charged and because I had no money in that account, an overdraft fee was applied. I called back and the person blamed someone else when I know it was him who messed it up in the first place. He then said the manager would call me to discuss it and they never did. I've only had one massage here and it was subpar, the worst massage I've ever had. They had a therapist named Julia, she was amazing and the only reason they're not getting 1 star. I believe she moved to another spa, of course because this place does not pay their employees well. I would not recommend unless you have a very open flexible schedule. Therapists have very select schedules, they're normally booked weeks out, and they often cancel. If you cancel less than 24hrs ahead they still charge you the full cost of the service but when they cancel same day you get nothing but a half sincere apology. I have racked up a bunch of sessions that I can't even book because of their limited availability and they won't just refund you your payments. So annoying, having to go to other cities now to use up my sessions and just cancel the membership already. read more

Great customer service! My previous massage had been cancelled at the last minute and the front desk staff was very apologetic. Before taking this as a total loss, she mentioned an appointment opening for the next day and I'm so glad I took it. This was my first time getting a 90min massage and Joe was incredible! His massage approach was calm and careful. He would constantly check on me to make sure the pressure was to my liking. I've been using this location for around 3 years or so. I have always loved the masseuses and staff that work there. During the peak of COVID, they sent out text offering to pause memberships or continue billing. "Given the situation, we ask that if it is possible, for you to continue with your normal billing to enable us to cover costs. If you are unable to bear the charges, we will be happy to freeze your account until we reopen again." I continued the billing so the massages accrued but we couldn't use them since the location was temporarily closed. It got to the point where I nearly had six months worth of massages that I had paid for. I went in to schedule massages and asked if I could temporarily freeze the account to catch up on all the massages I had accrued. The options you get is to PAY to freeze the account monthly or cancel the subscription but you will lose all massages that you have PAID for. I am happy to help a business out but I've paid for the services so why can't I keep them? I debated paying to temporarily freeze the account so I could schedule and catch up. Then they said you have to accrue six months worth before they would do that. Apparently I was just shy of six months. Super disappointed by how eager they are to take your money when they need to be "supported" but will not work with you whatsoever. Love the location but frustrated because scheduling is nearly impossible. I have to book 1-2 months in advance so obviously the massages I pay for back up but I can't schedule them because they have no availability. It's awesome. read more

I went yesterday. My massage was great, no issues. I booked 3 appointments for me and 2 family members. It was girls day out. When I arrived one of the bookings had been cancelled last minute due to an illness by massage envy. What bother me is the policy. If I would have cancelled anytime within the 24hr time period I would have been charged the amount for the massage. The staff never asked to reschedule. There was not a sorry for your inconvenience, well give you a discount on your next massage. I left unsatiafied with customer service at the counter. I would give a 5 star for the Massage Kerri gave me, but a 1 star for the front desk. I have to say I arrived a little late (due to someting of not my control) and I was aware my massage would not be the full hour. Failure on multiple levels here. I have had my massage with aromatherapy scheduled for 2 weeks. When I came in today I was told that I could not get aromatherapy because the person who is doing my massage is pregnant and cannot be around scents. I have always done aromatherapy and only like my massages with it. If they found this out before my appt was scheduled, why wasn't I told then? If they found out after my appt was scheduled, I should also have received a call. They told me someone should have called me yesterday but apparently nobody bothered to and there was nothing they could do. I was not offered a discount or anything other than to reschedule or cancel, which is not acceptable. Since no manager was working they could do nothing. As a manager myself I know that I am on call 24/7 if a customer is upset. Apparently that is not the case here. read more

Decided to give this place a try because I had a gift card. They are super friendly and make you feel comfortable. However, I don't think they communicate with the therapist or maybe my therapist didn't bother to go over what I put I wanted. I said I wanted him to focus on my back and head. While he did do a good job on my back, I think he maybe massaged my head for a minute. Maybe I should have been more vocal, but I thought the whole point on filling out the paper work was so the therapist knows what you want to begin with. I decided to try a franchise massage place after reading all the horror stories on yelp reviews about small massage places and I think it was a good decision. I think they thrive on memberships so keep this in mind when you go in for your "one time only" discounted first time massage. They will try to get you to sign up for their annual membership. Honestly the Vacaville staff were nice about it and not pushy. Whenever someone is not pushy, I'm more likely to sign up. I have had massages by two different therapists and they were both skilled and professional. The linens have always been clean and the ambiance is relaxing. The cucumber or citrus water is a nice refresher before or after the massage. They have a subtle notecard in the room to remind customers about giving tips, which I think is fair. Again not being pushy is what made me more comfortable with actually giving a decent tip. I read many reviews about places where the therapist would practically harass the customers for a tip. I've signed up for membership so I'm in this for a year. The nice thing about the membership is that it makes me get something once a month. The only downside is they have a super strict rule about no show. I've never missed an appointment but my family members with memberships have missed . We had to pay the full price for the massage they never had, which is fair from a business standpoint but it's just annoying. The reason for four stars instead of five is the reception. Some of the reception staff are better than others, but I would expect all of them to be professional. Just one negative encounter with a receptionist can negatively taint the whole experience. I was surprised with how rude one was with me, but fortunately it was only one time. If it happens again, I'm going to have to call her out on it. If I could give a 0 I would. One of my dearest friends gifted me a massage from this location. I showed up everything started out great, filled out my forms and got sat to the back. Appt was at 1pm as I sat and waited 5 different massage therapist walked past me didn't say one word to me, then finally at 1:18 two ladies walk in for their appts and they immediately get called back still no one says anything to me. I walk to the front and tell them "I show up 15 minutes early and get ignored by 5 massage therapist no one you guys have crappy reviews."
