I had high expectations from MEnvy, but unfortunately, the microderm facial didn't work for me. I experienced breakouts afterward, which hasn't happened with microdermabrasion treatments I've had elsewhere. I'm not sure whether it was due to the hydration liquid they used, but based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend the microderm facial. That said, I may still consider going in for a regular facial with Sasha, who seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. read more

Massage therapist Lily is the best therapist! I always tell her please don't move haha. She is so intuitive and really cares for wellbeing of clients. She is so sweet and happy. She had the softest hands and puts details into the massage that are so incredibly relaxing such as aromatherapy, covering my eyes while she works on my feet, using a hot towel under my neck, scalp and face massage, gently stretching me during my arms, giving some cervical traction for my spine, and more. The deep tissue she gives doesn't hurt -it unloads so much tension and is so relaxing for the mind and heart. If you have a lot going on in your life and have stress or even just have tight muscles from other reasons then look no further. She cares to help me to water afterward. I have been a customer of theirs for several years in Rancho Penasquitoes and I like the layout, the rooms, the quiet and the space. And the wonderful lady who I choose to give me the massage does an EXCELLENT job. HOWEVER they have recently moved to a place where the massage rooms are MUCH SMALLER, the lights in those rooms are VERY BRIGHT and cannot be dimmed, the 'hot' towel machines don't work as well, the music in these tiny rooms is now too loud, and there is no quiet spacious waiting room anymore. I still love the masseuse and she still does an excellent job but I cannot relax there. read more

Great experience. I've had a membership that I haven't used since Covid and have accrued so many credits. I found a therapist outside of massage envy so I haven't been back. It's been so wasteful to not use it so I took a chance and checked Yelp to see what their ratings were. I'm glad I did. I had a nice massage with Lilly. I asked for deep tissue / firm and even though this was our first meeting and she's getting to know me and my preferred pressure she is a good job. I scheduled a facial for next week and a 1.5 hour massage in 3 weeks and will try another therapist who they said is heavy handed. We'll see. I have been a member of Massage Envy for 17 years. I have been going to the PQ location since at least 2018. I will never return to the Massage Envy PQ location due to the extorsion like practices that they adopted recently. I have over 26 massages accumulated from my membership, which means, they were already pre-paid by me. Since Covid year I was rarely able to use my massages, and I accumulated a few. Massage Envy charged my credit card monthly, received my money, I never canceled my membership although I was not able to use massages until recently. But Massage Envy PQ location wanted to charge me an additional $10.00 for each massage hour after I already had my massages at their location recently! When they booked me, they never said that they would do that! The owner is a cold and indifferent woman, she said, I won't be able to come to their location again if I don't pay additional $10 for every hour. Of course, I will never return there with such an attitude they have. They want to charge more money than other Massage Envy locations. My home location is a different location in San Diego (where I started my membership 17 years ago). I have been a loyal customer for 17 years and attended PQ location since 2018. I also attended other locations and never was asked to pay extra. But PQ location insisted that I pay extra! Not to mention, they cannot force this type of policy on you. I read another review here from someone else describing the same situation that happened to her. This location started well when they opened, but since that time (around 2018), it has been a movement downhill. The facility is not as clean as it used to be, the care for their clients has gone down, little things here and there that facility used to have for their clients are gone (like water, napkins, envelopes for tips, bathroom cleanliness, etc.), even music during massage is not appropriate or absent at all, or too loud. But I closed my eyes on all these minor details until they tried to make me pay more money than the membership really is and being charged monthly from my credit card. Make your own conclusion if you want to use this Massage Envy location in PQ. P.S. I had also left a 5-star review on 5/3/2018 about this location (read review written by Lana H.). Gigi is why I love this place so much. She is passionate and kind- a therapist and master masseuse all in one. She truly cares for her clients and has found joy in knowing she helps you feel your best. She'll patiently listen to all your stories as she massages away the pains of the week. Lisa is an excellent massage therapist. I quit massage envy in 2021 because my massage therapist and esthetician left due to Covid. I only came back because of my discovery of Lisa. She gives the best deep massage. She know where my pain points are without even me telling her. I have searched high and low, near and far for massage therapists. I've been getting massages for years but my massage with Lisa was beyond extraordinary! I usually get light to medium pressure because in the past when i would get firm my back ends up being sore for days. But Lisa was so amazing! First time ever that I actually enjoyed a firm pressure! I just got a facial done by Sasha and I must say, it always feels like I float away from my session feeling re-energized and rejuvenated. The front desk staff is always welcoming and friendly, Sasha always comes get me at the scheduled time, the room is always clean and smells like essential oils. The facial is always relaxing, every part of it.
