A gentleman friend whom is a monthly member of Massage Evny gifted me a service. Easily he was able to call and request his extra service to be transferred to me. All he had to provide was my contact phone number. Of course it helped since I was already in the system. Once upon a time I was a very loyal monthly member. I believe he paid a $10 transfer fee. Then Right away I took advantage of this gift. My body was screaming for a massage! I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. The front desk asked me what type of service/massage was I looking for ... if a deep tissue or soft relaxing pressure. Providing her that I like firm pressure and was overdue on a massage she recommended me to see Sahily which focus on deep tissue massages. I appreciate that at booking time... I was asked on my expectations in order to find the best therapist for my needs. Sahily was very nice and she was great working on my tension areas. ( my whole body). She said I was very tense and lots of knots. I added to my service fully body CBD oil for an additional $30.00. It helps with inflammation. At the end of the service the front desk attendant comes out with recommendations that the therapist notices. In my case my whole body head to toe was in red that required attention. I was told also to consider some stretching which they offer as well. Recommends both stretching and then a massage in order to get into the tissues and benefit's. As I was tempted to join the monthly membership that has benefits of roll over treatments. Monthly or even every other month. I opted to hold off till next year. The only thing I was unhappy was with... is that somehow ... I think it was iodine got on my face and hand. I think that when I was lying face down because the sounding of my face was orange for a few days. Then I guess I touched my hands after touching my face. Besides that Sahily meet my expectations and the front desk staff was very attentive and friendly. read more

The massage was fine. I fell asleep, which means it worked, I guess. The heat in the room was good. I asked for whale noises, didn't get whale noises, so that was disappointing. The membership pitch? Made zero sense. You pay $80 a month to basically pay $80 a month. If I go twice, I'm still paying for one, and then the other is 'free' except it isn't free because I'm already paying. She pushed the membership hard, but honestly, the math doesn't work. So yeah, cool experience once, but I won't be back. It's kind of boring when I could get the same thing from a significant other, and that comes with whale noises included. read more

Extremely disappointing customer service. Two weeks ago I went to Massage Envy to redeem a massage transfer that my sister had given me about two years ago. Instead of a smooth experience, I was met with confusion and very poor customer service from the manager, Yessenia. She clearly did not know how to process the transfer and repeatedly she went going back and forth to her office trying to figure out what to do. It was unprofessional and frustrating to sit there while the manager seemed completely unprepared to handle a basic request. The massage therapist did a good job and the massage itself was enjoyable, but the customer service experience completely overshadowed it. It was honestly some of the worst service I have ever experienced. To make matters worse, my sister recently tried to transfer additional services to me again, and now we are being told it cannot be done because I received a transfer two weeks ago.( which was 2 years ago not now!!! ) We are getting different answers each time, which makes the situation even more frustrating and confusing. Massage Envy seriously needs to improve staff training and customer service. A company with this reputation should not be leaving customers feeling this dissatisfied and poorly treated. If I could give a negative review I would!! read more

The Microderm Infusion service provided by Beatrice was wonderful, she was able to give me feedback based on my skin needs. I was told that if I sign up, I would get a free a free $95 introductory service the same day, instead when I got to the front I was told that my facial was going to be $175. I let the girls in the front desk know that the aesthetician told me that I would only pay $130 for the service that she was providing. She had just left so they could not verify this. They messaged the manager to ask for clarification and guidance , all in all a 20 minute resolution wait to resolve this. I was also told that my service would be free of charge since I signed up for the membership, but that wasn't the case. They simply wanted to enroll me and instead of doing a month-to-month they enrolled me in a 12 month membership with no choice of month-to-month, I even asked if month-to-month was an option and I was told no. Honestly, the only reason why I didn't make a bigger fuss about it was because I was using a gift card that was given to me for Christmas that covered about 80% of the cost and seeing that I will never return to Eddie massage envy, locally or nationwide. The manager ended up honoring the price that was provided by the aesthetician. The girls then asked me for my debit card to pay for the service and tip that I left and they ended up charging the total onto my card. I let them know that they charged the total and they said. "Yeah, because that was the total cost of the services and tip." Then I told them that I had given them a $100 gift card and then go off, they voided the transaction and charge the correct amount. Very poor experience, especially considering that it is my first and last time ever getting a facial and walking into this establishment. read more

I had a great experience here! I don't tend to like facials but it was the most relaxing facial I've had. Extractions are uncomfortable but she did a great job. I would definitely come back 10/10 read more

After reading some reviews GREAT about Barbara , I booked my appointment with her. This was my first time coming to this location ( I've been to Doral and Coral Gables location), and this by far is my new favorite location. I read a few reviews on how the girls in the front desk were rude so I was ready for it but they both were very sweet and attentive. I felt welcome when I first came in. Let talk about Barbara and how amazing she was. She honestly has positive aura and a great attitude. I haven't felt so refreshes and untangled in a while. She has magical hands and worked every knot I had. Barbara is very proffesional and explain all the processes before hand. I will definitely be back. read more

I've been getting massages with Yanet for almost 2 years now. She truly is the best! I have never had any issues at this location whatsoever. I go in early, grab some tea, get my massage, drink some water and go home feeling more refreshed Every Single Time! :) read more

I want to give a big shout out to Sarah (sorry if it's spelled differently). My fiancé and I had massages scheduled for later today but we both got stuck at work. We are both first responders and it's somewhat difficult to leave early in our line of work. Sarah went above and beyond to help us reschedule so we would not lose our massage credit. She is an exemplary employee and I hope management sees this and rewards you. Thank you again! read more

First the data collection to book the appointment was personal and lengthy. They then called back to be sure I was 18 . The actual session was not an hour but 40 minutes. She explained an hour is actually only 50 minutes, no explanation for the other 10. Paid with $100 dollar bill but they won't accept anything over $20 bill. I explained that this is legal, tender good for all debts, public and private as it says on the back of the hundred dollar bill and every US bill she refused to accept. The therapist did not focus on the area selected at check in but pretty much just applied lotion very gently. The pricing is extremely high considering the low quality service. Will not use again. read more

The Massage Envy in Miami Lakes, FL is the horrible. The manager is never there and doesn't answer calls or emails. They lied to me in order to sell me a package. MOST importantly is that the manager Joanna told me I couldn't get out of the contract because THEY RECORDED MY CONVERSATION with the seller WITHOUT MY PERMISSION (Joanna says that this recording between the seller and I shows that she really explained things well). RECORDING customers without their consent? This is only part of it. read more

My boyfriend and I did the couples massage. When we got there, we were attended by one of the girls working at the front desk, which she then asked us questions about what parts of our body felt the most pressure and how deep we wanted the massage. Once it was our time, we got inside the room, took our clothes off and got under the sheets. The masseuses dimmed the lights and put soft relaxing spa music which was super relaxing. The masseuse knew exactly what she was doing as she was applying the right amount of pressure on the areas where I was most tense, being my shoulders and lower back. Once the message was done, they both walked out, we put our clothing back on and they greeted us with a cup of water when we opened the door. Definitely recommend massage envy, whether it's for yourself or as a couple. read more

My husband gifted me a prenatal massage for my birthday. It was FANTASTIC. They were very nice from The young girl at the reception to the OUTSTANDING, soft, hilarious, informative, and sweet Sahily. I totally recommend her, have gone to her several times, she is to detailed from Explanation at the beginning and so concern with how you how feeling throughout the massage. So. The company tells me to contact them via their website. Tonight a gentleman call and said "you requested to be contacted, so I'm calling you" I told him I was told to reach out via their site per the corporate office reply on yelp. "Yea, don't know why, but sorry for your experience." I tell him what happened and he replied "yea, sorry." Not I'll speak with the therapist, not an honest apology, "yea sorry" said in the most "I don't care" voice he could give was just icing on the cake of such a shitty experience. Massage Envy - Bruise from her elbow at back of my leg - Massage Near Me - Miami Lakes, Florida

i signed up Dec 2019 covid happened Feb 2020. They closed and I didn't feel comfortable to going till now. Not only will they not honor my contract and allow me to use my services I have to pay an additional $10 a mth to use what I already paid for or use them all up within 60 days. As a manager Lizzie's forte is clearly not customer satisfaction. i own a business and would find a way ESPECIALLY covid was out of everybody's hands. sad part is it was 3 of us that signed up ONLY because we loved Blanch she moved on after 2 mths of us being under contract. if you treat customers like this I can only imagine what it was like working for you. The staff in the Miami Lakes location are always friendly. I usually call last minute as my work schedule varies. Today, I had a massage with Zenaida. She was amazing. I would really recommend this location and have some self love with a massage. read more

Contract TRAP. No other way to describe it. -UNauthorized will charge credit card; -Gifting massage is a hassle; -At $65/month OBLIGATION for $45 or less offers on Groupon can get NO contract massage ANYTIME ANYWHERE even if traveling; I am not an angry customer. I am a DISSATISFIED customer with the RULES to grab $$ even when not in service during this pandemic. During this pandemic, any service that is NOT a necessity, I, as a customer, should have options to place on HOLD. In my case, gift accumulated massages. Since Massage Envy ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY AND NOT CUSTOMER SAFETY I will terminate my contract. Simple. As an individual I take personal responsibility. You can keep the $500.00 you are holding and refuse to allow me to gift as massage to friends and family. PLUS the FRAUDULENT CHARGES to my credit card UNAUTHORIZED (after I dispute the charges with the credit card company; I will close the account) since I moved 300 miles away since August 2020. However, this review, is here to allow anyone to make smart choices to choose from a business that does NOT care about its customers' SAFETY for their LIFE vs a business that allows flexibility to allow customers to choose personal individual responsibility for SAFETY. This pandemic is showing: -who we should do business with; -who are the people we should follow; -who do we carefully choose to work with; -who do we give our business to; -educate ourselves to read and know NOT ALL BUSINESSES ARE what they PRETEND TO BE. We do have choices. Money is easy to be made. Trust, once is lost cannot be earned. read more

May, or Mae, at the front desk at the Miami Lakes location was extremely patient, helpful and genuinely sweet over the phone with me for almost 10 minutes while scheduling my appointments ahead of time. I can always appreciate good customer service but she truly blew me away, I feel as though I made a friend in a short period of time simply due to her character and phone personality. To the managers at this location, pls find more people like her. She has been one of your best in the year that I have had my membership! read more

Are the massages good? Sure, this is not why they get 1 Star. The reason for this rating is how unethical they are. I had a friend transfer 2 sessions to me. I went and here and added extra time on my monthly massage, just to use up the 2 extras. After being charged extra, I asked why I would be charged when I had 2 massages transferred to me. They told me that when I came in, they never applied the extras and because I didn't use them, they expired!! How unethical is that? I hate companies that are liKe this. I asked for a manager to call and I never heard from anyone and nothing was ever corrected. read more

I've been a member of massage envy on and off for many years. It has always provided a reasonable price for select services. I've always had decent masseuses, nothing to write home about, but they get the job done. This was my first time at the Miami Lakes location where I met a masseuse named Barbara. She is by far the best masseuse I've ever encountered. You can tell she loves what she does. You can feel her energy through ever touch, going through each finger into your skin with the intent to heal. It really was out of this world. It is hard to find a passion for something, and especially be able to happily do it for a living. It is nice to experience someone who understands the art of a massage. This will be my permanent location and my go to girl from now on. Besides the massage, the girls at the front desk were very polite and well mannered. I like being attended respectfully and was by far very comfortable in my experience. read more

The Massage therapist STEAL from you. After having a massage done by Maritza, upon getting home I realized my ring was no longer on my finger. During the massage, as she massaged my hands I told myself I should have removed my ring. This ring stays on my hand 24/7/365. It's sad to know you go to a facility to have stress relived, or muscles relaxed. & these so called therapist think it's okay to take what doesn't belong to them. Reviewing the actual massage I received is pointless. My first and LAST time I will ever step foot in ANY massage envy. Granted I should've removed the ring prior to the massage. It doesn't give anyone the right to take something that doesn't belong to them. This facilities rating should be acknowledged when looking to get a massage at this location. read more

I've been to another Massage Envy location, and this one was about the same as far as my experience goes. Once every 6 months, the Massage Envy chain allows customers to get the introductory price of $49. I woke up with a pain in my neck, so I called around to the locations near me for an impromptu massage, but they were completely booked for the day. The Miami Lakes location is about 20 minutes away, but made the trip because they were able to take me that afternoon. They were running about 15-20 minutes behind, but no one told me that when I arrived. I saw a few people come in around the time I did for appointments, and all of us waited at least 15 minutes before our masseurs came to get us. My massage was okay. He didn't focus enough on my neck which was where I told him I was feeling pain, but he did do a pretty good job. I will say, I was a little shocked that I got butt cheek action during the massage. Not offensive though. It was fine. For $49, this place is better than any of those discounted massages on the online coupon sites, and even though I didn't have the perfect massage experience, it was a decent value and I'll probably be back. read more

Barbara you are the best!!!!! I got my membership here and my first massage with Maritza was awful. I decided to try again with a different masseuse and found Barbara and wouldn't change her for the world. I had terrible knots on my shoulder area and upper back and no longer have them. Thank you Barbara for making me a brand new person!!!! You are the only great thing about massage envy read more

I have been going to this location for about 2 years now. My favorite therapists (which I highly recommend) are Karla and Victor. The only negative side to Massage Envy is the price along with the time. You don't get a full hour. They always stop 10 minutes early to give you time to change as well as clean up for the next appointment. It also usually takes about 5-10 minutes before your massage actually begins. If I'm just rating the actual massages, then I would give it 4 stars. I RARELY ever got stuck with a bad therapist. They are very professional and do a wonderful job at relieving any tension you initially come in with. No happy endings though, so don't expect it ;-) read more

If you are buying a gift card beware! thinking of giving someone a gift card for a massage in this place? I suggest you save your money and go elsewhere. Maybe a hotel spa will be more willing to stand by their word would be a wise choice. I purchased a gift card for my husband a few months ago for "an hour and a half massage plus gratuity" today when my husband finished his massage he was told he would have to pay a price difference because the price of the massage went up. Surely this was never disclosed at the time of the gift card purchase. This place is horrible you go in expecting to come out relaxed and comfortable and by the time you finish dealing with the scam they have going on you need another massage! Im highly dissatisfied by this and the lack of customer service. Don't recommend. Will never go back. read more

This location is pretty outdated compare to other ME location. The front desk girl Victoria came off annoying, but what bothered me the most was the fact that she made it awkward when I tried to view the wall where they post everyone licenses, makes me wondered if they had something to hide. If I could give 0 stars I would. I am pregnant and I was lied to by the people who work there. I was told we could cancel anytime. They never have availability and the people who work in this location have an attitude every time you call. I will not be going back to this location, they're disgusting preying on people. Jessica and Luis were there the day I signed the contract and told me and my husband we could cancel anytime. The manager Johanna does not help and believes her employees blindly with no concern for the customers. DO NOT SIGN UP. Do yourself a favor and find a reliable place that actually cares for their customers. I am so disappointed. I don't think anything can help this situation. They have no compassion or empathy to be able to lie to people in a difficult situation. I specifically asked if I could cancel anytime because I have so many expenses coming up with my baby. They continued to say yes of course. You cannot trust anyone these days. Don't sign contracts. Please do yourself a favor and run far away from this place. I went in for a custom 60 minute full body massage as I was feeling very stressed and my anxiety is over the roof. The front desk personnel are so nice and helpful! They checked you in as fast as possible but also maintaining a very personable customer service. I had the best experience with Maritza, she was helpful and resourceful. She recommended that I switch from aromatherapy to muscle therapy. Let me tell you that it hit the spot!! She has a special touch for the pressure where it felt sooo good! She was very honest and down to the point of what I really needed before and after the massage. The only bad part of this experience was that I am so tense. So they recommended that I become a member and after that session, I definitely had to come back for more! read more
