I've been a Massage Envy member since last November and pay $75 every month. I book my sessions a month in advance and plan personal events and activities around them. Everything was fine until 3 months ago. I received a call and text saying my therapist Jae had "abruptly left" the location--despite having confirmed with them the day before. Since then, they have asked to move my appointment every month due to staff call-outs or emergencies. After voicing my concerns about my appointments, being constantly moved, I was told there are no refunds or credits and that "there's nothing we can do" besides rescheduling. I spoke with Mindy at the Dover/Capital Station location, who apologized but said policy prevents compensation and that corporate complaints just get routed back locally. Paying monthly for a service I can't reliably access--and being offered no meaningful remedy--feels unfair and unprofessional. If you need dependable scheduling and member support, I would look elsewhere. read more

However, the manager's conduct was exceedingly unacceptable; they exhibited a lack of professionalism and were extremely discourteous to the customer. I worked at this location from December 26th- Feb 27th.They're very unprofessional. They tell you you'l get paid for things and then tell you actually you won't after you already did said things. I didn't get paid for well over a month and no one could clarify what I did or didn't get paid for. I was told to come in to do practicals and when I got there the door was locked apparently they decided to open later and not tell me. I showed up for work today and again the door was locked and when I messaged the owner she said they decided to open at 10:30 but I was never contacted. She told me to contact the girl from front desk and take it up with her. Didn't care I just drove 40 minutes to work for a client I was supposed to have at 10 to be told they decided to open later and I told her I was going home bc I wasn't sitting there waiting an hour for them open. So she fired me everyone there is on the verge of quitting be that place is being run into the ground. She records your personal convos in the break room and then writes ppl up for them even though you're not even supposed to have audio in the break room DO NOT WORK FOR THIS FRANCHISEE. Hopefully the others are better. But who knows. Also, they don't change the blankets between guests and the facial products are expired that we use bc they don't want to purchase more. read more

First time going to a Massage Envy and just recovering from cancer I needed a place that can handle special requests for oncology patients and they were able to do this where as other massage businesses in the Dover area could not accommodate. I had Jamie as my massage therapist and she was one of the best I've had and very personable. She was very companionate about what i had just been through and was perfect on the right pressure to give me. If there were 10 stars on here she would get all 10. Booked a 90 minute massage session with Gina online which was fast, easy & convenient. My session was to help relieve a lot of tension and body aches. Management gave a courtesy call the day prior to confirm my needs and make sure I was matched with the best suited masseuse. Front desk reps were very friendly and the facility was clean and inviting. Gina was phenomenal! She walked me through the entire session. We started with a 10 min RPT session to relieve some deep aches in targeted areas. The remainder of the session was an experience. Her energy is so calming and her techniques really helped relieve a lot of aches I walked in with. Probably one of the best massages I've had! Already looking forward to the next session with her--if shes available give her a book! Overall great service added to the Dover area! read more

Came in last week to purchase some products after seeing a promotion sign on their window. Spoke with the kind receptionist(I can't remember her name!) and decided to enroll in their membership and had my first facial Appt yesterday! Sanitation and overall cleanliness- I'm glad they asked extensive questions in the beginning in regards to Covid and seem to take it serious. Spa was extremely clean! Aisha took measures to ensure everything was sterile, no visible dirty towels/sheets, bathroom was spotless. It's clear they take this very serious! Consultation- I filled out a questionnaire prior to my appt which asked about allergies, sensitivities, skin type etc. on an iPad so she could figure out how to customize my regimen. She followed up by asking further questions to better get to know me and my skin. Services- facial was 60 mins and was great! Aisha was amazing and highly recommend her. She did a wonderful job at giving me recommendations for products, was extremely nice and hilarious! Why did I only give 4/5 stars? This has NOTHING to do with Aisha or the other people there (everyone gets 5/5!!) But more for massage envy. I wish there was more of a diverse range in products sold and services offered like waxing, more types of facials and massage add ons. I did receive the 15$ eye treatment and personally feel like it was not worth it. Aisha did a great job at making the eye area feel good- but I don't think enough products/steps was involved to warrant spending the extra money. Personally, I have a pretty extensive skincare regimen and don't mind spending large amounts of money on skincare(I have close to a $14000+ skincare regimen) however I'm not too sure if all of their clients are interested in buying 40$ cleansers and other mid- "high"price point range skincare products. Personally I don't! But I have a feeling they get "that's too expensive" rather frequently. They sell amazing lines(I came in because they had an obagi sign!!) but I wish it was a little more of a selection. The lines they offer are all clinically effective(and to me worth it!) but unfortunately a lot of people don't care and just see the price tag. Massage envy is a large chain and I hope they will be expanding their list of services offered and products sold soon! I feel like it would help them grow since most of their competition does offer more services I'll be looking forward to my next service here! read more

1st time going there. Massage Therapist/Technician/Person was Tierra. I apologize if I spelled her name wrong. She was excellent. I was very relaxed and felt so much better after my visit. She was very knowledgeable as to let ma know where she felt the tension was and where to add ice/heat at home. No pressure from her to purchase any extras like a membership or another visit but I recommend that request her and get yourself a massage from massage envy. If you're thinking of spoiling yourself or a loved one this may be an out of the box idea. Very relaxing. read more

The worst massage and the worst service/experience for any massage i have ever had. I get a massage for deep tissue massage, any really don't see the point to lighter pressure massages. When I asked the massage therapist if he could do deep tissue (because the massage was so light, I really didn't see a point to continuing), he didn't know and said he would have to leave the room and ask. He also said it was an up charge. So then he said he could and then he pushed harder but didn't get my muscles. I guess pressure was harder, but when you start at a one and go to 2, it doesn't really matter if you want and are used to 5. I travel a lot and rarely get the same therapist, and often get the least desirable therapist since I book last minute, so I don't think I'm spoiled. Quality and satisfaction varies, but this wasn't worth the 90 min I spent there. There were several other issues with account and transferring hours to my wife's account for her massage, and the front desk person was not helpful at all (when these issues occur, they have always been handled by other front staff massage envy personnel). Neither of the two employees knew if this up charge for deep tissue was a franchise wide change or this location only. My wife got a great massage the same day, but got upcharged without knowing deep tissue was an upcharge. read more
