My wife and I have had a membership for years now at the Coconut Point location. As for me, I have been very disappointed the past six months or so. I have had three appointments canceled due to therapist issues (sick, double booked, etc.). Today, April 22, I was just notified that my appointment for tomorrow is canceled again due to the therapist feeling ill. This is now a pattern that is totally unacceptable. My appointment in March (2025) was canceled due to alleged double booking. I was able to reschedule the next day with another therapist, however, I was not at all satisfied with the quality of the massage. Very Disappointing! This is what happens when you have to choose a therapist you are not familiar with. I swore that was the last time. If it happened again, I was canceling my membership. Here I am again, so... FYI The only reason I gave two stars is I had great service for several years prior to 2024-25. The best therapist I've had is Vanina, but she is in high demand and you have to schedule with her at least 30-45 days in advance. I have been a client here for years. I have had some great experiences over a long time but the business has gotten terrible the past two years. They have cancelled my massages over 50% of the time! 5 times since late October 24. I feel Management is inept with the excuse being the employee is ill? I had this happen again today. The excuse was that the therapist has another business that they go to. Other times the employee had a car accident, and another time a Therapist's dog was sick. I have health issues that require far more dependability then this place can provide. As it is a franchise I use another location inRhode Island and have never had a cancellation. I went to have a dermaplane facial at this particular Massage Envy and was disappointed. Based on my experience at other salons and spas, it was uncomfortable, and had I not had them previously, would never have one again based on this experience. Don't know if the equipment was not sharp enough or if the aesthetician was not trained correctly, but I would recommend not trying it there. read more

I booked last minute as a birthday treat for myself on Saturday, May 8, 2021. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the very loud conversation happening in the next room - not relaxing at all. The massage therapist I had was good but not the most professional I've ever encountered. I don't need chit chat during my massage. Also, stopping during the massage to take a gulp of your drink isn't conducive to promoting a relaxing atmosphere. I will not return to this establishment. read more

This was experienced by both myself and a referred patron- it was not until i stopped tipping due to feeling pressured that the "supposed" issue with Jose arose. He made both myslf and my referred colleague uncomfortable expecting a tip and commenting to me about my colleague not tipping (becuase she was not satisfied). My best massage therapist there, Claydis is you want a really good work in back and neck, Miguel if you want a medium- deep deep massage and his massages with HoT Stone are to die for "love it"!! After 25 minutes of waiting for an appt, I finally asked where the therapist was. This is when they said they didn't have me in there. There was no offer to make it right. At first I enjoyed my experience but was not able to work consistently with one therapist and receiving a massage from one employee who coughed on me and had long nails that scratched me during the treatment, i ended up just using my membership for facials. Carlos was a wonderful masseuse and if you do choose to come here I highly recommend booking with him. The following review is more based on the company and it's ridiculous policies/prices. Long story short I haven't been to a massage envy in a decade because their "10 minute consultation policy" is such bullshit, their masseuses range from decent to god awful, and their prices are absurd. I would have gone somewhere else but this was my only option schedule wise. I arrived at 9:53am for my 10am apt. The lady at the front desk had me complete their usual *cough unnecessary* forms, and when she mentioned the "50 minutes hands on, 10 minute consultation" I reminded her I had booked my apt with the 10 minute foot exfoliation so my total time would be 70 minutes. She tells me the 10 minute foot exfoliant-an extra $15- is actually included in the 50 minute "hands on". So I cancelled that because I had booked it specifically for the extra 10 minute attention on my feet. I was lead to the room at 10am, my "consultation" was 2 minutes long. Masseuse left the room at 10:03 to let me get undressed when I noticed the clock on the wall said 10:06. Sneaky sneaky massage envy. To Carlos' credit he was back at 10:05 (real time) and massaged me until 10:54 (clock time)/10:51 (real time). So a 46 minute massage with a 2 minute consultation and a simple "how do you feel?" post massage. The all in all process is actually 50 minutes total , with 3-4 minutes hands off. Making their $120/60 minute massage and 50 minute on/10min off policy bullsh*t. Also noticed they don't even use scented oil/lotion or a hot towel to wipe the oil off anymore, guess you have to pay for the "aromatherapy" to get that now. Slipped in my shoes thanks to the oil. When I got up to the front, the lady tried to schmooze me into their crappy membership even though she knew I didn't live here nor do I frequent a massage envy. Perhaps that's part of their "hands off" 10 minutes. After paying, I also had to ask her for my receipt--waste wise I am glad they don't print one automatically but we had spent that time completing info-hoarding forms with my email everywhere so shouldn't it be emailed automatically? All in all, these chain massage places are a joke. I got lucky with a good masseuse today but this was my decade reminder of why I shouldn't waste my money at Massage Envy. read more

When I complained they told me they buffer time for consultation. I tried to explain that consolation is on the front part and not at the end and there was no way it should have ended so early. My husband got me a monthly membership for xmas this past year to find a therapist I liked. I had a total of three massages and abruptly cancelled my membership today. Two days ago I had an appointment set for 1030, and was called 30 mins prior that my therapist had an emergency and had to cancel. I wasn't super upset although it was very close to my appointment time. They rescheduled me for two days later at 0915. So I get to my appointment, it's exactly 0915, I'm waiting in the lobby along with another girl, and I hear the front desk girl say "do you know you have a 915? Yea we're opened earlier for Memorial Day. Ohhh ok yea sorry..." etc. Front desk girl tells me the therapist didn't know she had a 0915 appointment with me. I told her "this is the second time in two days this has happen" she shakes her head in acknowledgment. No sorry no trying to fix this (again... second time). So I on the spot ask to cancel my membership. Again, no apology, no attempt to keep me as a customer. I'm pretty appauld at the lake of communication and customer service. I received a 60 minute(50 minutes hands on, 10 minutes for consultation and undress/redressing) facial from Sylvana and it was great. She talked with me about my skin and she recommended what products/treatments she could use to help fix my problems. She got all my extractions out that had been bugging me and helped my skin feel soft and clean. Another plus side, I also received a lovely neck/shoulders and hands/arms massage while certain masks/treatments were sitting/working on my face. read more

While I'm not a client of Massage Envy, I did purchase two gift cards this past Christmas for my partner and her friend. When I purchased the gift certificate, there was absolutely no mention that they would expire for 3 months. If I would have purchased a gift card, there was no expiration date. My partner had to meet with the manager to get the gift certificate honored, and it was sorted out. It was reported to me that the facial and massage quality was great. The Massage Envy in Estero FL is the WORST! When I showed up for my appointment I was RUDELY informed that i would have to wait because they were running very late. When I finally went back for my massage and facial it was a disaster. One product after another was recommended (for me to purchase). She was more interested in trying to sell me overpriced creams than she was with providing a service. Just an incompetent group of employees at that location. Overpriced service for what you get. My daughter was given a gift card with a tip for this place. She was 5 minutes late. They told her that they would take it off of her massage. Also. They asked her for a credit card which she didn't want to give because but she had a gift card. They penalize her because she was five minutes late however they kept her 20 minutes trying to sell her on their products and services.She told them several times that this was a gift and she could not afford. My daughter is struggling with many medical issues. She was so relaxed after the massage however because of the aggressive sales pitch and the guilt because she didn't buy any thing she left feeling terrible. This was her first experience getting a massage here she will never go back and now I won't go back. I had a massage scheduled along with my mother. We booked a few weeks prior, before arriving for our 4-day trip. We were so excited for these massages, received confirmation texts the morning prior, and covid forms the morning of to complete before arrival. 20 minutes before our appointments, my mother gets a call that the two women who would be completing our massages travel in together and they got a flat tire. They cancelled our appointments and would not reschedule us. In lieu of our early morning massage appointments, we were open to rescheduling for any point of the day. They could not help us at all, despite our range of flexibility. Additionally, the woman who called to notify us offered no sympathy whatsoever. When we tried to reschedule for anytime over the remainder of that day or the following (before our flight back home), they said they had no appointments available and could not accommodate us at all. Considering that they cancelled our appointments moments before we were scheduled to arrive, I was shocked that they could not reschedule or accommodate us in any way. The way this issue was handled was appalling. I'm very disappointed in this location, I'd expect much better from a Massage Envy. Would never attempt this location again and considering such poor customer service, would not recommend to anyone either. read more

I've been a major user of massage therapy for 30 years and this is the best. Excellent pricing, value, and service. A large and highly qualified, competent staff of therapists, both male and female. The front desk staff has always been highly responsive and totally friendly. The therapists themselves take the time to listen to me and really try to work on my problem areas in order to accomplish meaningful improvement. Definitely a let down. I know it's a chain of affordable massage and went in with low expectations, but come on.... I told the front desk person I wanted deep tissue, so you would think that would've been relayed to the massage therapist. I waited in a room that felt more like a doctor's office than anything else. Went into the room where the massage therapist asked if there were any areas to concentrate. I told them that I wanted to focus on my back and shoulders. I explained I was in a lot of pain and was looking for results. You would think my explanation + the fact that I booked a deep tissue would mean I would get results - NOPE. Just an uncoordinated Swedish Massage with no rhythm. The entire massage I just kept getting more and more frustrated knowing that I wasn't getting what I asked (twice) for. After my worthless massage, I was offered water from a paper cone and sent on my way... Of course that was after I passed 10 different stations reminding me to tip my therapist.... Let's get real - if they have to keep reminding clients to tip, then there must be something wrong. They're in a convenient location for me, so maybe I'll give them another shot if I'm desperate. I booked a couples massage as a surprise for my wife on our first night of vacation in Bonita Springs. I'd read the less then stellar reviews on this location, but decided to give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did. Our experience was a very pleasant one. Everyone from the front office to the masseuse were professional, respectful and friendly. The introductory price saved me money, but we did have to sit through the sales pitch to sign up for a membership. No problem, they gave us the information but were not pushy about it. A membership is recommended in order to receive the monthly massage and additional massages at reduced member pricing. Before your service, you go into the relaxation room (as I like to call it) and pre-relax! Love this place, haven't had an issue. I am a member and I recently moved to this coast and stated going to this massage envy. There are some differences. They don't call you if you haven't been in for a while to see if you want to use any of your prepaid massages. Their inside is set up a little different and they don't always point you to the back to wait in the "waiting room" so some people are left out in the lobby and aren't completely relaxed for their massage. The front desk management at this particular location are not trained at all. My husband and I had an appt to do a couples massage tonight and when we came in 2 other people had the tablets assigned to our appt had filled out the entire thing and almost went into our appt. The other couple was French and spoke enough English where that should have never happened. They signed our tablets even for the safety contract for our names! The massage therapists were fantastic but we could hear the 2 front desk girls laughing outside the room. I felt really bad for the massage therapists at this location. They don't deserve to deal with this and I won't be back to this massage envy. I have also noticed the response people are getting on here is to message them through another portal. I left with the same problem and bought a membership so I will try all the other therapists to see if any others meet my needs. Beware when someone gives you a sweet gift of a year of massages at Massage Envy and you cancel after a year and you have three more treatments to your account- SUDDENLY you go to book only to find they are gone. Do they tell you they must be used within 70 days? NO. Why do you have 3 more treatments? Because you can't get in during season. Loss of substantial $$$ and poor business model. Just beware of the difficulties, and maybe look for another place beyond a chain I was told I haven't received a response from the owners of this franchise five direct message regarding my experience there I do not have direct message and I have no information of them getting in touch with me they might want to try the number that they called me on to confirm my apointman's in my time of being there client.
