My husband and I enjoy our massages when we go. It does take some advance notice to get us both in on the same day and same time, but I attribute that to lots of return customers who are filling their schedules fast. I want to give a shout out to the manager. We transferred our membership from a Massage Envy in Texas (where we had been customers/members for yeeeears. But we had moved to Colorado, and it seemed silly to maintain the membership to a place a 1000 miles away. It took the manager almost 18 months to get the membership credits transferred over, as the Texas store would transfer them, and they had expired. The manager got corporate involved and now we have all our Texas credits and can relax to our hearts content. Thank you for going to bat for us. read more

I have also had facials there as well which have been great. Where do I begin? Stay away from this company and take your business elsewhere unless you want your money stolen in exchange for absolutely nothing. The manager at the Arvada West location is not fit for her role as she has a difficult time articulating her thoughts, navigating through complex scenarios, and is absolutely agonizing to communicate with. I work in sales and manage a team of 35 people in a highly competitive sales environment and can appreciate the rapport and respect that needs to be built with each client in order to maintain satisfaction and a good reputation as a business.   From the masseuses to the front desk staff - it is apparent that they only care about upselling you products, facials, memberships, etc. The manager is obtuse and ingenuine - her lack of professionalism, tact, and intelligence is appalling. My Husband and I purchased a six month membership at $85 per month. In those six months, we were only able to successfully book two massages. During those two massages each masseuse I encountered made me feel extremely uncomfortable - one attempted to make a pass at me, and the other talked about their distaste and disdain for caucasian people at great length.   To date, we have paid over $1,000 for a total of two massages. Every time we called to book a massage (at multiple locations) we were told they were no openings as they were booked for two months or more. My card had multiple unauthorized charges when I explicitly asked them to stop charging my card. In addition, their monthly dues have gone up from $85 to $90 per month (unbeknownst to us) with no email or notice to be found or given.   So here we are. When attempting to explain our frustration to the manager - her initial recoil was defensive and accusatory with an abrupt retort reminding us that we signed a waiver. Great customer service.   It is so sad to think that the $1,000 my Husband and I spent on an experience we intended as a reprieve was wasted on nothing when it could have been put toward our savings, toward a vacation, toward our family, or literally anywhere where your money is actually exchanged for goods and services.   Be weary - they will lure you in with 'your first two months free' on a six month membership term. What they don't tell you is that you is that you will never, ever be able to book an appointment because they are short-staffed and overbooked at every single location. Those two out of six months 'free'? You will still be paying for six months worth of dues - all it does is delay your payment cycle. When you try to express your frustration with their lack of availability and unauthorized charges? They will simply tell you it is part of the agreement you signed.   My Husband went to the Arvada West location in person to pay the remainder of our balance, inquire around the unauthorized charges, and to cancel our membership. The manager refused to speak to him, refused to collect our payment and stated 'I am going to take care of my actual customer' (we are not customers now?).   My Husband again asked to pay the balance and asked for an itemized receipt of the total charges to date as well as a summary of any outstanding balance. The manager refused and stated that she escalated our cancellation request to her supervisor.   My Husband was appalled and reiterated he just wanted to pay his remaining balance. She refused to allow him to pay and threatened to call the police. I have attached video footage of her stating 'you can leave'.   Needless to say, we will never be back and I will be smearing Massage Envy Arvada West on every platform imaginable. Save yourself the headache, time, energy, and money. If you don't have tension in your body, you can be rest assured you will if you opt for a membership at Massage Envy. read more

It's not that they are terrible it's just they NEVER have any appointment opening. Most of the time I call and try and get in they don't have anything for a month let alone the week I'm looking to come in. They keep saying they are getting more message therapists or the the booking person is new but it's been over six months and I have so many credits to use but can't. Now I'm in the position of canceling and losing all my credits or keep paying but never getting in. read more

I had a brain injury for cracked ribs a torn rotator cuff a T12 compression fracture and I have nerve damage in one of my ankles that stems from my spine, I can only afford to take the one appointment. This place offers for $85 a month and that's what I can afford. I was contacted with a text That I had an appointment available and it was my free bonus appointment, I responded, asking if that was the case they said yes I then booked an appointment the day they had an opening, I asked again before I had the massage. Is this the bonus free one they said yes, on my way out of the massage. I said,"it was a great massage. I'd like to tip a masseuse and that's all I'm paying for correct?", The attendant said," yes, that's all you're paying $15. I later found out I was charged $90 instead, I have a 14 year old to support, right now I need to pick my medication and I can't do that, I recommend you don't do business here and I think SArAH should get a different job she's much better than this place. read more

In the West Arvada location it is getting almost impossible to get a massage appointment, l have to go and schedule in person (so inconvenient) don't even try to schedule an appointment by phone, every time l call l get the voice mail, l  leave a  message but no one returns my calls. I can never get in and they keep sending me to another location 30 minutes away ( so inconvenient) this location is only 5 minutes away from my home. Why would l go to the one 30 minutes away??? If l cancel my membership l will lose my 5 massages so they keep scheduling me a month away so l keep paying but l can not get in, it is a not ending story. And if l get in, 50% of the time they call to cancel and they can not reschedule right away. This is a really bad company.  I can't not even give my massages away to another family  member because you have to pay a transfers fee and  you can only do it once every 6 months.  They are very dishonest and they don't care about their clients.  Also be aware that Massage Envy advertise and charge you for 1 hr massage but you only get 50 minutes and expect you to tip at least 20.00 dollars. I felt very uncomfortable on my last massage, the massage therapist was not wearing a mask and when l ask if she was fully vaccinated she responded in a very defensive way that she was not going to disclose that information. I doble mask and felt very uncomfortable during my 45 minutes appointment (not even 50 minutes). She was running late and that is all l got. Do not get a membership,  you will lose time and money. Massage therapists are good & knowledgeable on the whole. They offer a variety of techniques which is beneficial for a wide spectrum of the population. I had a massage with Taura yesterday, who was very good, personable, & able to release tension in a neck & shoulder area that is usually difficult to do. She also does cupping, so I will be back for a session of that. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 rating is that it has gotten much more difficult to get in for appointments & I am limited to 90 minute sessions, whereas I used to be able to get 2 hour sessions. However, 60 minute sessions is what's most widely available. read more

I got tired of showing up for a massage only to have them tell me the therapist couldn't make it it today... I decided that I would just go to the Lakewood branch where the same thing happened again. I've used my membership in three states but will not be returning. This location (while convenient to my home) has terrible service. They are difficult to schedule. After my credit card was stolen (and cancelled) my membership was suspended. I thought I could remain dormant until ready to reactivate. They cancelled my membership with no communication. I lost all of my paid for credits and am told there is nothing to do to reinstate them. Staff turnover is really high and it is hard to work with a manager who has only been there a few months. This is exactly why working with chains is difficult. Service is dependent on each location. I do not recommend Arvada west. read more

It's extremely hard for me to give this place only 2 stars. The massage I received deserves 10, but the office staff RUINED my experience at this location. I am a Massage Envy member and have been for almost 2 years. To make a very long story short: I booked a 1.5 hr massage on the phone last minute yesterday, and was told I could use 2 of my stacked up pre-paid massages (just like I have at the other 3 clinics I have visited) to pay for the massage. I check in, and after the normal pleasantries, and I'm getting checked in, am told I have 3 prepaid massages left to which I ask "even after using 2 today" and am told that unless I started my membership with THEIR clinic, I am not able to do that. When I stated that I have at three other clinics as well as I was told by the girl who answered the phone that I was able to do this, I was told "Hmmm...sorry." TERRIBLE customer service, amazing massage. Too bad the customer service outweighed the massage as far as experience. read more

There are some really fantastic therapists here (Jeremy, Amber, and Lisa come to mind) but an hour massage is actually only 50 minutes and and hour and a half is only 80 minutes. They dont start on the hour (It doesnt matter what time get there, they dont even come out to take you back until after the hour begins) and they always end five minutes early. If they advertised as such I would have no issue with it, but really its false advertisement. For that reason alone I wont renew my membership when there are a ton of places that do the same or better pricing for 60 minutes of hands on time. Update - I appreciate the owners comments, but I come ready for a massage and am dressed or undressed in about a minute. Also, all your ads to state 60 minute or 90 minute massages, so it absolutely is false advertisement. If you scheduled the way you do now, but called it what it is, then that would make sense. You cannot say its a 60 minute massage if its actually 50 minutes of a massage and 10 minutes for you to dress and undress. read more

I was skeptical when scheduling my massage after reading the reviews. I received my massage as a Birthday gift and thought I would just give it a shot. I struggle with huge knots in my back and shoulders and prefer deep tissue to break them up. My massage was with David. David did not disappoint! Come to find out, I had a mini- membership expire. I was unaware of the time limit - I own that. What bothers me is the GM couldn't call me even though I was told she would give me a call on Monday. I called back on Wednesday and expressed my unhappiness with the lack of follow up. It doesn't matter if it was bad news. I was a customer she views as unworthy of a phone call. As I sit here on Friday, I still have not received a call. I wasn't a frequent customer- but now I will be a never customer. Which is sad, the staff who do the hands on work just lost a customer due to no fault of theirs. I have had multiple experiences now where the staff/management has left a very bad taste in my mouth. They actually have done some things that are likely illegal as far as business practices. I was satisfied enough considering I used a gift card and paid the introductory price. However, if I didn't and paid full price I do not believe it would have been totally worth it. We walked away from the store forever today, after prior repeat visits, because for some unknown reason, the receptionist treated Customers very poorly this morning. She seemed to be rather irritable. Being irritable happens to us all, but projecting it at Customers repeatedly is unacceptable. Especially within a relaxation atmosphere. She completely destroyed the vibe. Thus, the store lost revenue and two repeat Customers, perhaps several if the others feel the same way Their facial expressions were of disbelief with her attitude toward other people...in public. The occurrence was at 10:08AM 12/31/2018 and the receptionist was unacceptably rude without provocation. Sorry if she was hungover, but being aggressive is not acceptable. As a result of the rudeness, I calmly and supportively explained to your receptionist that her behavior was unacceptable. Shortly thereafter we began receiving hang-up calls from 970-371-9276 a number registered near Durango, CO (though outgoing cell phone numbers are easily spoofed). Owner: Please review your employee phonelist, an identity may be close at hand. Based on the very low volume of calls we typically receive, and the timing and veracity in which the hang-up calls came, it is statistically probable that your receptionist decided to take her issues outside the store and begin harassing customers proactively, in their private lives. Treating your Customers with such disrespect, particularly upon the holidays, has lost you present and future revenue. Our sessions were thus setup with a non ME location. We suspect they will treat us like we want a massage, like a customer they want in the long term, and not like a third class citizen. If the receptionist is unhappy with her circumstances, it doesn't mean make others unhappy. She may need counseling and its on you to help her find it. Happy Holidays! read more

If you're looking for a place to harass you about every charge that doesn't go through but makes I nearly impossible to schedule an appointment without significant advance notice than this is the place. The front office staff are sweet when you check in. About half of the clinical staff are above average. The administrative staff gives a whole new meaning to rude. That is not an exaggeration. If you've got massages on account because you haven't been able to make it in, you seriously should not expect anyone to help you get those booked into a schedule that works for you. Due to a medical emergency my husband had to cancel his appt because I could not drive myself to the ER. He was told since he didn't give 24-hours notice they would deduct a 50% session from his account. This is particularly galling because ME has canceled my sessions the night before of day of service 4-5 in the past couple of years. The double standard and lack of concern for their customers is hideous. I tried to talk to the manager, Brittany, who advised that since they couldn't get the appt rebooked she would not reverse the 50% hit to the account. Of course, when ME canceled my appointments, they made no effort to rebook my appointment for the appointed time. All Brittany did was waste my time with her deadpan pre-scripted excuses. When I persisted she came up with the excuse that she really wished we had contacted them sooner because several weeks has gone by. Apparently Brittany doesn't understand medical emergencies that may take weeks to recover from and require several doctor's appointments. Why any company would put somebody like Brittany in a managerial role is disturbing. ME demonstrates once again that it is all about seeing how they can take the customer's money without having to provide service. I don't think I would be so upset if it weren't for the fact that ME has canceled so many of my appointments, some of which weren't due to any medical issues and were seemingly unconcerned about doing so. Couple this experience with the difficulties encountered with ME during COVID and the fact it is difficult to get appointments booked within 3 weeks, I am done. The front desk girls, Melissa and the very sweet girl who was pregnant wee amazing and so sweet. Two stars for them. Worst. Massage. Ever. My fiance had about 5 massages built up when we went to terminate his contract, so luckily I was able to use one of them. I had their therapist Mike when I went in. We were getting our engagement pictures done the next do I wanted to release some of my stress and I was really looking forward to this. I get massages every single week at my work so I know the difference between good and bad. Mike was massaging me like my fiance would, I actually think my fiance would have done better. Mike went over every single spot 17 times, I counted. I guess that is one way to waste an hour. I could feel the energy he was giving out, it was as if this was the last place in the world he wanted to be. I asked for deep tissue and I was pretty much a cat and was being pet the entire time too. I honestly thought about ending the session early, and now I am kicking myself for not ending it. The therapists also spent about 10 minutes talking to the front desk staff after their breaks and Mike was talking to about 3 other therapists outside my door when I came out of the massage. I have been a member here for several years, without problems. Recently however, the front desk seems to be unable to make an appointment correctly and management does not seem to care. This past June, when I received my reminder, they had put me in for 8 PM instead of 8 AM. I ended up not being able to get that massage. Most recently, I went for my 2 pm massage in October. When I got there, the manager (or owner) told me my appointment was at 1:30. When I told her that was not correct, and my reminder email even said 2 pm, she became condescending. She asked the therapist if he would be willing to "work through his lunch" to "accommodate" me. Any place that cannot get a simple schedule correct, and would make their employees work through breaks to accommodate poor scheduling is NOT a place to endorse. Been cancelled on the day before or of (three hours before!) three times now in less than a year. Each time the massage had been on the books for over a two weeks. At this location when I tried to cancel my account after almost 8 years and rate hikes like crazy, suddenly I had to fill this and that out and it would take so many days. Nobody told me that I had to fill out paperwork I was told to send an email and my account would be cancelled. After several correspondence with the Arvada location, I was told "oh well" pretty much and that I could either take it or leave it. I thought after 8 years there would be some respect but absolutely none. Management needs to get off of their high horse and take cate of people. I have seen many complaints about this. I used the on- line form to get an appointment. Someone called and an appt time was set. I arrived 10 minutes early because it was my first time to use Massage Envy and I expected paperwork would need to be completed. The girl at the front desk realized she didn't have my last name spelled correctly (actually, not even the correct last name) but fixed it in the system and told me about the medical form to fill out. . I completed the paperwork and after a few minutes the person working the front desk came to me and said that the therapist that was to be helping me did not come into work because of a death in the family and that my appointment was not possible. She was "so sorry" and they thought they had left a message on my phone to let me know but they guessed they must have had the wrong phone number! There was no voicemail on either of my phones and I don't understand how they could get so confused about my name and number since it was all on the form I had submitted on their website. My husband bought me a six-month massage envy package in January. Since January I have been able to get one massage because massage envy regularly canceled my appointments even though they take the money monthly. When I expressed my concern to the manager they informed me that these cancellations are normal because of the health of their therapists. Okay, I want to say Stephanie is wonderful. She was great, did a super massage. The problem is you can't get an appointment for her or anyone else when you want one. I call on TUESDAY and was told I could be seen on FRIDAY. Remember this is a "MEMBERSHIP" you pay in advance. When you call for a massage it should not matter weather it is for stress, enjoyment or for a medical condition you should get an appointment with the next 24 hours at least. You have paid to be a member, the membership should allow you to be able to get the massage not just when it is convenient for them. So they try and get you in for a facial, if you wanted a facial you would have called for a facial. ( as a side note, the facials are just ok, they are not able to use any tools, so stream and hot towels are it. Not to mention the products they "have ready for you at the reception desk" it is not a spa facial like you would have at a "real Spa"). I realize the staff does not have the ability to schedule therapist. But why continue to take "memberships", when you can't take care to the members you have now? read more

I highly don't recommend this location. That can't keep therapist nor do they have good management. Last time I called to try and get an appointment they were two weeks out. The therapist that I wanted was over 30 day wait. Its not because they are so good but rather that they can't keep therapist. What good is having a membership when you can't get in. I took my mom for a 90 minute facial for her birthday. Beth worked with her and was absolutely wonderful. She has such a healing touch and my mom was over the top thrilled with her session. We had the couples room and Michael did a 90 minute massage on me. I'm a spinal and chronic pain patient and he provided such a therapeutic massage which provided great pain and stress relief. Michael's technique was unique and his draping skills were more professional than any I've ever seen. This was a relaxing and memorable time together with my mom. New owner, new management and new therapists at this location. What a great day it was. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Honestly, basing this solely off the assistant manager Lindsay Jones. I came in seeking to purchase a membership but left with utter disappointment and simply shock in the way that I was treated. When I first walked in, I had to wait because someone was already getting helped at the desk, meanwhile I got an earful of the manager Lindsay complaining about some previous receptionist in the back as she was walking out. I don't think she knew I was up front with how insolently and rudely she was speaking of that person; I also feel like it's difficult to not realize you are speaking THAT loud.. When she finally came up and realized that I was up front, I started asking about membership policies, and Lindsay noticeably pushed the other receptionist out of the way so that she could talk to me and be the one to "sell" to me, which I assume is based off of commission in that case. I had a lot of questions before signing a contract, but Lindsay rushed me significantly and was very vague in answering my questions, she just wanted to get my money and get me out. Needless today, this was a horrible experience and I will not be returning to this location. read more

This was only my second massage ever but knew my first was everything I expected, and then some. My experience with Massage Envy fell a bit short in these ways; * The facility appeared clean, well maintained and a comfortable decor (a plus) * I requested the addition of aroma therapy and a sugar foot scrub. Silly me, I honestly expected these to be "in addition to" the massage. Instead the time spent for both were taken out of the body massage time. So all three were crammed into a 50 min. session. Really?!?!? * During the massage, my therapist talked almost the entire time (NOT relaxing) * From the time I entered the building, throughout the massage and during my exit I received nonstop high pressure sales talk about my 'next' visit. I assure you, there will not be a next time with Massage Envy. * For the most part I enjoyed the aroma therapy, massage and foot scrub. It was the talking and sales pitch that was not enjoyable. Between the high pressure and the almost constant talking, I left there feeling better, but not completely relaxed. read more

I asked the woman at the counter if they would take a walk-in and she said (in a snooty tone) "well, normally we do, but not today". She didn't even try to setup an appointment for later. The massage itself was underwhelming. When I told the front desk, they still charged me full price and just said that they were so sorry... Massage Envy cancelled my appointment 3 hours before the scheduled time (4:00 on a Friday) with little explanation, no apology and an attitude.
