The massage itself was good, but even arriving a couple minutes early, I was denied 20 minutes of a 60 minute massage and was frustrated by the automatically defensive stance after mentioning it to the team. There were 5+ minutes taken off the end because "they always need to do that to get ready for the next person", and started 15 minutes late because of paperwork, questions, etc. This should have been communicated on the forefront and they should have been more receptive to feedback in person. If you so decide to go here, I recommend arriving a full 20 minutes early to make sure you actually get what you paid for. read more

This was mine and my husbands first massage experience and we were very pleased. We left there feeling relaxed and our muscles felt amazing! We've already booked our follow up appointment. If you're looking for a comfortable place to relax this is it! The staff is very knowledgeable about the musculoskeletal system and very in tune with their clients. They were able to pick up on both mine and my husbands trouble spots instantly. I went down to Myrtle Beach on vacation this past week. For whatever reasons, the trip was anything but relaxing and my body really needed some deep-pressure massage by someone who knew what s/he was doing. I'm in my 60's and have had massages forever. I have a long-term massage therapist in NY and know quality. Not knowing anyone in Myrtle Beach, I went on GROUPON and read the reviews and websites of the businesses. Massage Care has licensed massage therapists and appeared to know a lot about the body and different types of massage. I believed I would get what I needed. I made an appointment which got cancelled due to the owner/masseur having a meeting that was missed on the calendar. It made me wonder what kind of business he was running, and I hesitated about going there. But I accepted a new appointment for a 90-minute massage and was seriously glad I did!! This man Michael really knows his stuff and gave my NY therapist a run for his money! He has magic hands, easily finding the myriad of knots I had throughout my body. Where most massage therapists usually stay in one area for a period of time, Michael had a unique method of moving up and down the body, which for some reason seemed less stressful to me -- it gave the same amount of time to each problem area but my mind let go of expectation (not sure I can explain that right). He made me aware of some very weak areas of my body that need work and gave me some exercises and stretching instructions. If I lived in Myrtle Beach, I would be a regular. Don't get mislead by simplicity of the facility. The message experience eliminated any reservations that were in my mind. Pia, my masseuse, did an outstanding, professional job. What a couples massage on my honeymoon only to have the front Dess lady called me to tell me that I booked in correctly and only chose one therapist when axing how can I go about fixing that because this is how the website is designed the person who gave me a call was very rude harsh toned it and was not helpful at all then proceeded to ask how would I go about doing a refund since we cannot get the massage on this day or before our trip ended and she proceeded to tell me she has no clue because I don't see that on my end so you would have to just figure that out terrible customer service and I would not suggest anyone to come to this locational And I am not one to take the time out to do reviews so for me to start my day to do this you can tell how horrible my experience was!!! read more

I've been dealing with chronic shoulder pain that has progressively become severe into my neck over the past 15 years. I have sought treatment from doctors unsuccessfully, but since my first appointment back in May 2018 with Mike, I haven't felt better! He is very passionate about learning as much as he can to better himself as a massage therapist and is very knowledgeable about the musculoskeletal system. I had also visited 2 different massage therapists before seeing Mike and neither actually helped me with my underlying problem, but he has in ways I thought were not possible without surgery.
