I was in need of a lymphatic drainage massage a little shy of 2 weeks post-op. My massage therapist, Jody, worked wonders - I only had a 30 minute session but my mind was blown by the results! So much so that I scheduled a full hour for Monday before leaving. My main concern was lumpiness and stiffness in my thighs after not having the proper compression post-lipo. When I left his table they were so much smoother, the swelling/bruising had evened out, and I could stand straight up after sitting for an extended period of time! I can feel (and see) my body healing so much quicker. Jody is so good at what he does and makes sure you're comfortable while he works his magic. I look forward to working with him throughout my recovery process - I already have another massage booked for Friday!

I researched cryotherapy centers in Myrtle Beach and found this location to be most suited for my needs. Today's first treatment was wonderful. Kim was very helpful and walked me through the process. She even stays in the cryotherapy room the entire time to monitor your treatment and how you were doing in the chamber. Being a first timer, this was very comforting and welcomed. In addition to cryotherapy, they have an experienced massage therapist(s) trained in medical massage. Needless to say, I am booked for both next week. Today's treatment has left me feeling hopeful that there is an alternative beyond options given by the physician.

I had a spa where we were staying, but they were booked out until Monday. I called around and found a spa, A-1 Massage, that was open on Sunday , booked my spot for 11am. I Got there, the staff had no knowledge and f my appointment time and was asking for payment up front. We elected for a 60'min couples massage and 30 min foot reflexology treatment. The massage itself was a combination of techniques that proved to be very effective in addressing my sore back and feet. I felt amazing after but it's definitely not a massage you would fall asleep in. It's more of a therapeutic, physical stress relief and stretching experience. I especially liked the head, neck and face massage. The hot stones were a nice inclusion by my masseuse. The vibe of this place transports you to somewhere with Thai or Indonesian inspiration.
