In a nutshell, she has all the…read moreingredients needed for a great & relaxing massage: technique, skills, location, equipment, ambiance. Read on for the specifics. People & Listening Skills- Marie greeted me with a smile at the door and led me to the studio area, where I filled out a medical questionnaire. She then reviewed the form with me and asked questions about what kind of pressure I liked, areas to focus on, etc. Then she explained the order of the areas she would work on and asked if I had any questions. I felt very at ease with her from the moment she greeted me at the door. Equipment- She uses a high quality table, not a shaky, rickety one. The table is heated and even raises and lowers with foot pedals. She had hot towels for my back and also had essential oils available to mix with my choice of oil or lotion. I chose peppermint oil mixed with massage oil. I love the smell of peppermint, and it's not a girly smell for us guys who love a good massage. Also, the massage oil she used was good- it let her work my muscles without friction, but didn't leave a greasy residue afterwards. Ambiance- Her studio is quite large, and has an adjoining bathroom, if you need to use the facilities before your massage. The studio size doesn't affect the actual massage itself, but does add to the overall experience- you don't feel like you're in a closet which was converted to a massage studio as with other places you might go. Her studio had an elegant modern look, in my opinion. Location- She is located really close to Lowes Foods (grocery store). It doesn't get much more convenient than her location. It was only between 5 and 10 minutes from where we stayed at OIB. Massage Skills & Technique- All the other things mentioned so far only enhance a massage, but massage skills and technique is what it all comes down to. And let me tell you, Marie is super! I like very firm pressure to smooth out all the knots, but not so firm that it hurts, like with some deep tissue massages. She was able to give firm pressure without "pinching" my neck and shoulders, which I hate. It's almost like she could read my mind! I haven't had a lot of massages, but I've had enough to know what I like and what I don't and what to expect in a great massage. Everyone has their own style and techniques and Marie is top notch with hers. The next time we go to Ocean Isle Beach, I'm sure I'll be booking another appointment for both my wife and I with Marie!

I even said before I went if that was brought up, I am a believer (Lisa didnt know this) This long day. Well, after losing my mom I became manic and that LONG day she was asking me about was the start of my mania and I knew that day because i was up overBeset Al 48 hours after that long day. I work normally 4 hours and I worked 12. I deal with disabilities and that is not healthy and I knew as the day went on and my boss even noticed. It scared me and I knew I needed help on that day she spoke of....my long day. I was not only blown away by her accuracy she felt like an old friend. She was cautious and yes spoke of her life and gave personal experiences that I LOVED bec I not only could see her experience but she related it to me and my life. I left blown away and have seen her now several times and she also has a podcast (look her up) excellent stuff if you're interested in not only healing but personal growth. There are so many skeptics out there but you know what they are just miserable people who if were open to it could get healing and live a more fulfilled and joyous life. Go to Lisa. Oh, one more thing is that i was so concerned about my health . I couldnt drive to see her. She called me and went over our time to not only give me an amazing reading but resources then she emailed me as she promised links etc to help me. ; I am just recommending her bec she is a really good person who genuinely cares about people and their happiness and growth physical and mentally. Go to her once and you will feel amazing and could possibly change your life, like she has done for me. I Also, one last thing. You have to put in the work for healing so go to Lisa and do the work, you are worth it! Lisa is a lifesaver, literally. Did feel a little claustrophobic in the little waiting area (where we filled out our paperwork), but they offered us a glass of "soda" and that helped :) I came back for a cut and style with the co-owner Brittany. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. I'm not usually one to be charty during hair cuts, but she was fun, bubbly and showed interest in learning more about her clients. I love my haircut and will definitely make this place my go-to for hair services!!
