Writing this review as someone who has never had a facial/massage before, so today was my first…read moretime! I did extensive research online and settled on Spavia as the place I wanted to have my first experience and I'm really glad I did. Based on the reviews, I chose Luciana and everyone is absolutely right. She is wonderful! She talked me through everything she would do, gently suggested items she thought would help me on my skincare journey but was never pushy at any point, I felt so comfortable throughout the whole session. First, the ladies at the front desk were super welcoming and gave me an iPad to sign in on, that asks a few questions about your skin background, etc. They also ask you what kind of scents you want, what kind of music you want to listen to, and what you want the pressure of your massage to be. The atmosphere was calming, ambient and clean. They give you lockers for your items, a nice fluffy robe and slippers to change into, and free amenities while you wait, like tea, water, weighted neck pillows, etc. While The Retreat room was super nice and relaxing, I didn't have to wait long at all. Luciana came in very quickly afterward, and explained everything to me. We went to a room, where you lay on a table with a little heated blanket and a foam roller for under your knees to support your lower back while you lay. The experience was heavenly. Luciana was gentle with my skin, the massage was so nice. I almost fell asleep on the table! After everything was over, I got changed and headed back to the counter to pay for my experience, Luciana had set out some skincare products that she felt would suit me based on our time together, but again, there's absolutely no pressure to buy them. She didn't stand there and wait for me to make any selections. She simply placed them on a table and walked away. I ended up purchasing one of the two items, a gel cleanser. Whenever purchasing a skincare item you also get to choose a free little gift that they offer which was super nice! As far as what I got, I got the acne purifying facial which comes with a face, neck, shoulder, arm and hand massage and lasts about 60 minutes in total! And it was only $139. For that experience I almost felt like I was stealing! With the skincare product I bought (without the tip) the total came to around $180 (but its a LOT of product). If you want to tip in cash, which I did, they give you a nice little envelope to place it in, with a 'to' and 'from' section to fill out. I've already scheduled my next appt and told friends and family about this place. Can't wait to come back!

There's no door on the room just a curtain up so it's not completely private but it's more than some of the reflexology places where you just separated by a curtain. I was given a male masseuse, despite me being a female, but I didn't mind. However, they didn't ask me so if that's something that you are uncomfortable with then you should voice that from the beginning. The massage was a bit too hard for me at first, but I let him know and he adjusted. The prices aren't bad at $80 for an hour. The only thing that is a little iffy, when you go to pay, they will try to talk you into increasing your tip amount. Their standard suggestion is $30 for an hour and $40 for the 90 minute session, but they "encourage" more.

From my very first session, he made me feel safe, understood, and heard by taking the time to thoroughly assess my concerns and personalize every treatment plan to my specific needs. When I first came to him, I could barely turn my neck to the right because it was completely locked, my hips were significantly misaligned, and I was struggling with persistent lower back pain. Thanks to his expertise, I experienced tremendous relief and regained mobility. Beyond the treatment itself, he also taught me practical maintenance strategies that have helped me continue progressing both during and between sessions. Not to mention, the environment is always very serene, soothing, and peaceful. I especially appreciate his holistic approach and how intuitive he is as a healer--he has an incredible ability to identify what your body needs. What makes Sam stand out is that he offers so much more than massage therapy. His treatments may include non-invasive acupuncture, ultrasound therapy, muscle stimulation, TMJ treatment, anxiety relief techniques, and so much more, always adapting each session based on what will benefit you most. I am incredibly grateful for the relief I've experienced from the head pressure and migraines caused by my TMJ, as well as my lower back, shoulder, hip, and Achilles pain. His authentic, kind, and compassionate personality makes every session a positive experience, and it's clear that he is deeply passionate about helping others heal. I wholeheartedly recommend Sam to anyone--from athletes to older adults or anyone with specialized treatment needs. If you're looking for someone who combines extensive knowledge, professionalism, intuition, and genuine care, Sam is truly outstanding. I look forward to continuing my treatment with him for years to come.
