We both have coverage through benefit plans and paid a $25 premium for an RMT massage. King Thai Massage did not mention that they would not be covered by SunLife and when my husband put the claim in through later that night it was rejected as King Thai Massage is a delisted provider. I am now out $60 on something I assumed would be 100% covered. I requested some accommodation by just refunding me the $25 RMT premium and the location refused. Needless to say I will never go back and I hope to warn others ahead of time as well.

I was taken to a room with massage bed and given scrubs to change into. I had PTA, a gentle lady, who asked me to tell her what complaints I had. She gently but with strength went over my entire body and massaged and stretched while breathing deeply. I walked out of this place feeling very loose and relaxed. I would certainly return.

Amy is my go-to RMT. I have tried their RMTs, but Amy is brilliant for me because she provides deep-tissue massage and hits pressure points. If I am honest, it hurt quite a lot in the beginning but in the best way. I felt renewed after. Since it is downtown, I typically walk or bike because parking can be a pain. The building is right outside of College station, which is quite convenient.

It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.

Appointments are on time, and can start as soon as you arrive, even if you are a few minutes early for your appointment. The room is small, cozy, and the music is always relaxing. Since this is a massage therapy, I expected a little bit of deeper pressure, and personally for me, I prefer that. It might not be everyone else's preference. There is a bit of a language barrier, but since I have been receiving all my treatments from the same RMT, it took about a couple of sessions before she and I worked out the amount of pressure and on what certain parts of the body as well. I just learned to speak up if I want something to change. Massage therapies are soothing, however there would be times when I hear staff talking, walking by, or having lunch (since the kitchen is close to the massage rooms). And when I asked I was told something about hot towels 3) I clearly mentioned I need a relaxing massage to destress and was given a good but mobility massage which I didn't need tbh. Again when I asked about this technique I was given a very technical answer on this being my first time hence I needed to increase mobility and the second will be more relaxing . Didn't get it.
