A friend told us about Greco Jewelers on Del Prado Blvd in Cape Coral. Let me just say we have never tried to sell jewelry to anyone and really didn't know anything about the process. We were both a little apprehensive about the whole process and didn't know what to expect. After we decided to sell some of her old gold I asked Grok some questions roughly how much it was worth so we had some idea. We went to Greco Jewelers and we were greeted very pleasantly from both Lenny and Lisa (the owners). We gave him the all the old gold which he went through one piece at a time categorizing what type of gold it was. All the time talking to us about anything and everything along with his lovely wife who's a jeweler as well! She even quickly cleaned a piece of silver jewelry for my wife as Lenny said we should keep it since what he could give really couldn't come close to the retail price. After he was all done with everything he told us what he can pay for everything. We're were pleasantly surprised by him surpassing what we thought we was going to get! We asked Lenny if he takes sterling silver and he said yes and we got a couple old pieces that have been moved around for many years and got rid rod them too! Bottom line is if you want to sell your gold and silver, look no further than Greco Jewelers! Lenny and Lisa made the entire process totally enjoyable and took all apprehension out of the process for us. We felt we were treated extremely fairly and never once thought we were taking advantage of! It looks to us we found our go to Jewelry store too!! In the past the customer service has been terrible, like really bad, but this last visit, it was very different. There were two ladies working in the store, and both welcomed us and said hello, asked if we needed help. Much improved! This is the store you go to buy sea shells, that's it! They have a few tee-shirts and hats but you come here to buy a shell or two or 10. There are probably thousands of different shells, from tiny shells to larger shells, some are pick yourself and some are behind a case. There are also decorative shells and very rare shells that sell for over $100. I do think you should stop here for shells, I also think they are expensive in ways. I am not sure where they purchase their shells but some that are super tiny, can run over $1.50 a shell. My wife bought one that was $2.00 and was smaller than a dime. But I guess it might be rare. I think most of these shells, especially the small ones should be 25 cents. My wife and her family like to do crafting so having a large mix variety of shells would also be beneficial. Overall this is your spot to go for sea shells. Plain and simple. It is the best spot in my opinion, there are a few stores around the island that sells shells, but Sea Shells has by far the biggest selection!

This past year though, the service was so much better, it actually made a great shopping experience. There was a younger lady and an older lady, but both were welcoming, greeted us, asked if we needed help and were just friendly. It was such a great improvement! This is your one stop shop for buying shells. All those seashells you want but cannot find, this is where you come. They have thousands of different shells, from tiny shells to larger shells. They also have decorative shells that either have been made into a figurine or painted. We always buy a couple unique looking ones. Sanibel and Captiva are known for their shelling but some of these you just never find, or at least we have never found. My only issue still is with the price. Some of the tiniest shells cost so much money! A tiny starfish the size of quarter might run you $1.50 or more. The prices just seem high. I would expect the tiny ones to be around 25 cents, but I think the cheapest one is 50 cents. I don't know where they get their shells from, but I do think its expensive. I also wish they had a big bag of random shells put together. I didn't really see that and you have so many options, it would be nice. Picking one tiny shell at a time can be a hassle and costs add up quickly. Overall this is your spot to go for sea shells, if there is something you really want, they have it here. A lot of unique shells, even some rare shells. I would highly recommend stopping here now that the customer service has improved!

The inventory in this shop - which is older than me (44 y.o. as of April '19) - is selected, curated, and arranged with style, skill, and heart. To shop, attend a book signing, pick up your book club's latest read is a joyful, informative, and inspiring experience. Were only all bookstores (you reading me B&N and Books-A-Million?) places where the experience is as meaningful and enjoyable as the books we read. Happily, that is the experience brought to us by Macintosh Books.

She writes mystery books and the character lives on the island. Love it! She was doing a book signing and I was not going to be able to go. I was able to order a book from them and have the author sign it. That was about 2 years ago and we have been fans ever since. They were so incredibly polite and helpful. We missed coming here last year because of their hours. It is located on an island so they are not open super late. This is a cute little bookstore with different books, little trinkets and souvenirs to purchase. From my understanding they also do many events with different authors. We visited and were actually able to speak with the owner. She was so sweet, actually straightening from a previous nights event. She talked to us for a bit, got to know us and recommended us to her favorite authors. We wanted local books or books written about Sanibel and Captiva. She only had a few but of course we were able to find some we liked. I would highly recommend stopping here if you need a book while on vacation. If I lived in this area, this would be my local shopping place for books. It is always better to buy local. My only reason for a 4 is there was not a huge selection of local books and the ones she did have, she did not have the whole series. There was pretty much one of each as well, so my sister and I could not each get one. But again, I understand, its a small island. I just wish there was more and more copies. Overall though, we will stop in each year and check it out, see what's new and look for any treasures we can find. The fact that they are independent and do not charge more for a book is also really great. Its a good value for us to buy from a local shop as opposed to a mass retailer. You should definitely check it out.
