I haven't dealt with Dr. Malik, but I have been seen by PAs in both locations…read more First off, my last visit there was a little confusion between the ZocDoc site and the doctors office. They called me to tell me the appointment I had made actually shouldn't have been allowed because they don't do general check ups that late. It wasn't a big deal to me, but the lady who called me was able to schedule me another appointment earlier in the day that wasn't available online. Not only that, when I asked which exit to take from work she moved the location from Germantown to Gaithersburg because she said I wouldn't need to drive as far and traffic would be easier! It was so thoughtful she did that for me. My wait was only about 10 minutes when I got there. Maybe a few minutes less, I didn't time it. The front desk lady chatted and time flew anyways. When they came to get me, everything was explained to me very well, and I wasn't touched without being told exactly what they were going to do (example: we're going to take your temp from your ear). It's little but sometimes you go to a doctor and everyone just manhandles you. The provider I saw, Renee, was amazing. She sat and listened to me and took notes on even little things I said. She explained the lab testing she wanted to do, and never made me feel awkward. I could feel she cares a lot for her job and patients. How they were going to use my insurance was also explained very well, and before my visit they called me to make sure everything was in order before I came in. And if you don't believe me, Washingtonian magazine also loves Dr. Malik, ranking him as one of the top doctors in the area.

To be fair, I would not give this office zero stars, as that would be an insult to zero stars…read more Now, I would not recommend this office. Who would? They have recently started requiring patients to come in every three months to renew routine medications such as blood pressure and cholesterol medications. These are common, non-controlled medications. If the purpose is medical follow-up, then actually follow the patient. Instead, you are required to make an appointment, typically wait 20-25 minutes, have a nurse check basic vitals for couple minutes, and then see the doctor for less than five minutes. It feels like an illusion of follow-up care rather than an actual evaluation. No blood work was even ordered. I specifically had to ask about it. So what exactly is the purpose of requiring the follow-up if you are not checking how the patient is actually doing? Just look at the patient, say, "You look fine," and bill the insurance? Even worse, the doctor did not review my test results. After looking at my BP reading, he said, "Ah, I guess that is why you are on blood pressure medication, right?" That told me he did not even seem to know why I was there. Yet the office required this visit before renewing the prescription, and roughly $500 was billed to insurance. OK, my insurance covers fully, but still, I do not understand how this kind of practice is considered ethical. Then, we wonder why healthcare and insurance costs are so high. Well, now we know predatory practices like this. My impression is simple: this practice feels far more focused on generating billable visits than providing meaningful medical care. The doctors seem disconnected, the front office seems disengaged, and I have very little confidence that a developing serious condition would be recognized early with this kind of superficial follow-up and subpar care. My advice: run elsewhere like there is no tomorrow. If you decide, or are forced, to stay with this office, may God have mercy on your soul.

I won't lie, I absolutely hate going to the doctor's. My problem with going to the doctor's is: 1)…read moreI) I always get doom-and-gloom pronouncements, 2) even if I don't get the doom and gloom, the doctors that I see are usually so frowny and/or busy that I'm like...eh, I'll figure oout from WebMD and 3) I always get to the appointment on time...and then I'm told to sit and wait for an hour before anyone can see me. However, after much nagging from my husband I agreed to get a long overdue physical...and it was the most enjoyable doctor's experience I've ever had. To start with, the nurses at the receptionist desk were busy but they weren't rude (this is a super nice change from many other offices I've been to). They also limited the crazy amount of paperwork I needed to fill out - they got most of what they needed from my ID and my insurance card (instead of making me fill all this info out in triplicate). Then, my wait was less than 5 minutes. I had brough along a book, because I'm used to waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time...nope, not here! I didn't even have time to open my book when they called me! What the what? Then the PA that saw me was funny, charming, and kindly talked me through some minor health issues and did the most through physical I've ever had! I got an EKG, boob exam, blood drawn...and I'm sure several other things that I've forgotten...and they were fast, efficient, but so personable that I never felt that they were rushing or that I was just a slab of meat they were moving along. WAAAAAAAHT? So, YAY for me for having my first super complete physical in...FOREVER. And super yay that there weren't any doom and gloom (OK, I was told to go to the gym more often because "eating" isn't actually a competative sport....and that wine isn't considered a "serving of fruit"). Going to the doctor's will never be my favorite thing to do...but I will definitely say that this office makes me loathe the task a lot less.

He was listed in Washingtonian top doctors list (feels like a long time ago) back then too. Ever since Dr. Janssen has two PA's, Jamie and Rebecca, you rarely if ever can make an appt. with him! Might as well call this practice Jamie's place. On the plus side, you don't have to wait much to see your PA. Wish I can also consult with Dr. Janssen in addition to his PA though. Their lady staff who draws blood and urine work at the office, is so depressing. You can tell she doesn't like working there at all! Yes, it's convenient not driving to LabCorp, but man, smile a little. You do get your lab work results through their Healow app, which seems every doctor is using. Please Dr. Janssen, make some more time to see your patients, instead of your two PA's!

My husband and I were a few minutes late getting there but he came out and introduced himself to us and ask if it would be okay if he saw another patient ahead of us so that he could give us the attention that he felt we deserved. He told us that he did not want to rush our visit. How amazing is that, we were late not him. I have had some good doctors in my life time but never with such great presence. Even though my husband did not have his medical records with him he assured us that he rather assess his medical history based on the medication he was on and his questionnaire of my husband medical history. I looked at three other doctors portfolio's on line but i never read through anyone of them. I kept coming back to Dr. Wadhwa every time. The spirit in my heart told me not to look any further, his portfolio spoke to my husbands medical condition and after meeting him I knew we made the right decision. I'm filled with so much joy knowing that we made the right decision and that we both will be well taken care of but Dr. Wadhwa can lead us to the water but he surely can't make us drink it, therefore we must do our part as well. Thanks, Dr. Wadhwa for accepting us as your patients. Olivia B. and Earl A.

When I walked in, I'm the only patient and I feel safe and not be encumbered with other patients in waiting room with their illnesses. Dr Lakhvinder is an excellent and caring physician who took the time to listen to my medical situation and made very good suggestions and quick calls to my pharmacy. I'm feeling a big relief knowing that I am under excellent and watchful care.

I recently went for a follow up and it seemed like they already knew who I was. I did not have to explain much since they remembered me from 2 months ago and was told they will sign in for me. They are on point with their patient wait time because one of them came to me and acknowledged the fact that 5 mins had passed since the time of my appointment. That was right when I was having thoughts that maybe my appointment was for a later time. The staff are very respectful of your time and that is very important to me. Dr. Allison definitely makes me feel cared for. I noticed that she is a great listener and genuinely wants to hear what you have to say with no interruptions. There is no doubt that her expertise cured me of a health issue that I had for a while and overall has helped me improved my performance in everyday life. Now we are working on another health issues that I did not know I had. This is because she took her time to ask and care for me. All this while she continues to monitor my high cholesterol, which is another health risk she is helping me overcome. Over all Dr. Allison and her staff have the qualities anyone will want as their health care provider.

She asked me what my name was in the middle of the appointment. Despite having scheduled a physical exam, she automatically assumed I would not want to have my breasts examined. The staff are equally cold and apathetic to patient concerns. I had a horrible experience.

I had a weird skin grown on my hand and his recommendation was to use more lotion. WTF?! I need medication for ADHD. none of the other formulations have worked for me in the past, so for a whole I gave up. I recently went back and requested the same exact medication that my kids use. It works well for them. He wanted to start me off at a very low dose. I informed him that dosage was even lower than what my daughter uses, and she weighs less than a third of what I weigh. I may not be a doctor, but I do know simple, chemistry, body weight matters in regards to chemicals and medication. He refused and started me at 15 mg. My very small daughter takes 20. I don't blame him for this next part. The insurance company refused to pay for it without prior authorization, despite them having been paying for this stud for my kids for the last few years. But I do blame him for not wanting to do the prior authorization. It's a simply bloody fax. When I went back this week for my 30 day follow up, I requested to have 30 mg. He tells me it's going to require prior authorization again because he's changing the dosage and if they ask for prior authorization again, he can't do it because he doesn't have the manpower. It takes too much effort. His exact damn words. I said to him, I told you this would be a problem. I told you I wanted to start at 30 to begin with. He snapped at me and tells me if I raise my voice at him he's going to kick me out. Mind you, I wasn't yelling. But of course, a black person being upset is like yelling at a non-black person. We are always perceived as a threat. Time to find a new doctor.
