I had already been diagnosed with a left inguinal hernia before making the trip and I flew in the night before surgery. I came in the next morning and Dr. Kravitz explained in detail the procedure and answered all of the questions that I had. I was a little concerned about this being an open surgery vs laparoscopic based on things that I had read about the recovery being longer but when he explained that it was actually better it put my mind at ease. I was already committed to doing it anyways but it was reassuring to hear. Because of the fact that I was doing the operation on the same day of the consultation it was actually Dr. Lawrence Starin who did the operation a few hours after my meeting with Dr. Kravitz. I knew this going in and I had no issues with it because he had great reviews as well. Everything with the pre-surgery routine was seamless and I got to speak with Dr. Starin for a few minutes before I was put under for surgery. He was very friendly and open to talk with and I knew I would be in great hands under his care. When I woke up I was feeling pretty good and didn't have any pain at all because of the meds that I was on. It wasn't until that night when the pain killers wore off that I started to feel some real pain and it definitely wasn't fun but I would say it was manageable for most people. I ended up flying home early the next morning about 14 hours after surgery. I was a little nervous about this because I had been told that flying so quickly after surgery is a bad idea but it ended up being fine. I even drove home from the airport which was about an hour from my house and I managed to do it without much issue. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going this route but if you have a tight schedule to make everything work I'd say go for it if it helps you save thousands of dollars like I did. As for my overall recovery I'm extremely pleased with how everything went. There was some pain and numbness in the weeks following but I did my best to take it easy to make sure my recovery went smoothly. Because I was long distance traveling and in and out very quickly I didn't have the opportunity to have any kind of post surgery check up but Dr. Kravitz did call me a week after surgery to check up on me which I appreciated. As of writing this it's been about 4 months and I've been completely back to normal for probably about 2 months. Overall everything went about as well as I could have hoped and I highly recommend both Dr. Alan Kravitz and Dr. Lawrence Starin to anybody who is on the fence. Wendee, their assistant, was also very helpful in setting everything up and answering my questions.

I've been a patient of Dr. Reddy going back to about 1998 when Dr. Reddy took over a practice from a retiring doctor. I was 29 years old. Starting with our first few appointments, Dr. Reddy spent so much time to understand my current and past health, I was almost concerned I was his only patient. Of course I was not his only patient, that's just how Dr. Reddy works, and he works hard long hours. I'm a complex patient with a variety of health issues requiring many different specialists who have performed countless surgeries. Dr. Reddy has been indispensable with his specialist recommendations. Dr. Reddy talks to the other specialists involved in my care, so they all work together to develop a cohesive plan for my health care and to ensure no risks aren't understood and mitigated where possible. Fast forward to 2026 and now I'm 56 years old and in better health now than back in 1998. He has always given me honest to the point advice on how to improve my health and encouraged me as much as any professional can. He helped me set and meet goals. He also holds me to the fire when I could be making better choices. Dr. Reddy communication style is friendly and warm, inquisitive and compassionate. From the first meeting I had with Dr. Possner, I knew things would be vastly different and that I had found someone that would have a profound impact on my health. My first appointment was the longest time I had ever spent with a doctor. My appointment was 2 hours and Dr. Possner had fully reviewed my medical records and engaged me in thoughtful conversation about my medical history. I left my initial appointment with a feeling of empowerment over my health that I had never really felt before. Little did I know that the impact of having Dr. Possner as my doctor would happen so quickly. I was on vacation and had an acute UTI. It was after business hours, but I was able to call the office and get the on call doctor that happen to be Dr. Possner. I walked him through my symptoms and he immediately called in a prescription for me. Because he had such knowledge of my history it was easy for us to communicate and talk through my symptoms. He checked on me via email through the client portal several times over the next couple of days to ensure I was ok. The fact that I was in a remote part of a different state and I was able to call and speak with the doctor saved me stress and the hassle of finding an urgent care to go to. He has made several recommendations to other specialists and doctors, all of whom have turned out to be amazing. His referral goes a long way with each specialist I have scheduled an appointment with. I can't recommend Dr. Possner enough; he's a great listener, thoughtful, caring, kind and you can tell he truly loves what he is doing. His follow through is simply amazing.

She will respond to my texts during off hour questions and always has time to schedule an appointment with me should I or should she feel that is necessary. She has been an excellent resource for referrals to some very good specialists when necessary. Recently she was able to alleviate some anxiety by accessing the results from some tests which turned out to be just fine. However, without her intervention, I would have had to wait. I am very pleased with that level of caring and service. Her assistant, Abby is also pleasant, professional and caring. She is a real boon to the office as Abby is the first person with whom a person interacts when visiting the office. He's an integral part of the medical expert team for this Crohns patient! I became intrigued in the whole "medical concierge" principle after my well-esteemed, knowledgeable and kind doctor of 10 years moved to Florida. This loss served as one less reason to tolerate the intolerably inefficient and rude "front desk" personnel and extremely long waits (first in the waiting area and then yet again in the exam room). To add insult to injury, I was reassigned to a doctor that lacked in so many ways; including proper communication... (what doctor switches medicine dosages at refill and cancels surgery days before it happens with absolutely no advance notice. Then, the arrogant attitude of this unselected "replacement" doc was the cherry on top of a gut wrenching sundae. I was able to temporarily move to another doctor within the practice until I could move to a new practice. I met Dr. Mintz in early 2018 at at event and then did my own research on concierge medical services. I had heard of it before as being almost like having a doctor on call. Easy appointments, ease of communication (email, phone call, text, etc), NEARLY ZERO wait time for doctor appointments, ease of scheduling, easy billing, no administration burden, quick (sometimes even same day appointments). What is there not to appreciate. The best part was, to my very surprise, it is very affordable (less than I pay for a monthly gym membership). It was something I definitely wanted to try, so I enrolled in February and have been there ever since. I don't envision myself anywhere else (so long as he doesn't move to Florida ;), and it is not just because of the concierge aspect either. Dr. Matthew Mintz is truly a stand-up gentleman! I warned him in advance that I would be a difficult patient (with a nearly unmanageable case of Crohns!), but he didn't even flinch! He's a very kind-hearted, caring doctor. I don't ever feel judged about my medical issues/questions or talked down to (despite the fact that he's the expert and medicine is not my field). He keeps me well-informed of test updates, notes from specialists, his own recommendations, treatment options and always takes the time to answer questions thoroughly and do follow-up research as necessary. He takes pride in his practice, respects his clients and seeks to make medicine more practical/accessible/easy. I definitely trust him with my health and am happy to have become acquainted with his practice. He also takes great pride in helping others, frequently teaching and providing experience to interns. Finally, I also love his front desk. Tina is very kind and efficient as well. Great team! I would (and frequently do!) recommend Dr Matthew Mintz's practice to everyone!
