Eric put in a new tile kitchen floor for me around four years ago. Despite one of the two-foot…read moretiles being visibly not-level, I was generally happy with it until my dishwasher needed a repair. The repair guy was unable to pull the dishwasher out from beneath the counter because Eric essentially walled it in. When Eric installed the tile, he elevated the floor--but NOT the part of the floor on which the dishwasher sits beneath the counter--by about 3/4". Now there isn't enough clearance above the dishwasher to compensate for the added floor height, so I am going to have to pay someone to cut four tiles out of the floor just so the unit can be pulled out, and to elevate my floor cabinets and counter--all this just so I can replace a dishwasher. I am told this is something Eric should have addressed, and that he took the easy way out by avoiding the issue. Instead, he left me with a downstream problem that will be costly to correct. Yes, Eric has a great many five-star reviews here. That's why I hired him. But before you do the same, I strongly suggest you take heed of my really bad experience, because something like this can happen to you, too.

His work is exceptional, and I found his prices to be competitive I loved how quiet this part of the job was. I kept forgetting he was here. I really appreciated his tidiness. Each day he vacuumed up after himself, and left everything in tip top shape. He is also environmentally conscious. His disposal practices were flawless. He emails me on a regular basis asking if everything is still to my satisfaction, and to let me know he is ready to do a thresh hold when we finish installing the carpets. Communication with his customers is wonderful. He immediately felt like family. We are designing a new fireplace, and can't wait to have Eric do the work. He is an awesome guy to have around. AND he likes dogs. Can't get better than that. I wrote this review few months ago and I forgot to post it. Sorry Eric And sorry to those of you who hired someone else to do his or her tile work. They cover the floors and even put plastic around the entry points to the work areas to mimimize the dust reaching the rest of the house. They take great care in removing the existing products, clean up the work area each day and have a lot of respect for the customer's personal property. The backsplashes and baseboards were removed without damaging the drywall above them. The seam between the edge detail and the countertops is invisible. They arrived at the job when they said they would and completed the job on schedule. They respond promptly to texts and phone calls. There was always clear communication regarding the project. They pay attention to details and are superb craftsmen. A lot of thought is put into matching the placement of the quartz pattern on all the walls so that it blends nicely. They take a lot of pride in their work. Mike or Matt were on the job site each day with additional team members as needed. They do the cut the quartz items themselves in their shop, so the quality control is excellent. They do all they can to make sure the customer is happy at the end of the job. The scope of work included eight bathrooms with shower walls, shower ceilings, floors, wainscoting, and countertops, along with installing the engineered quartz in our kitchen, laundry room, and butler's pantry. He also installed the granite in the game room/bar area. It was an enormous job, yet Michael and his team completed it in just **2 weeks and 2 days**. Even more impressive, they never sacrificed quality for speed. Throughout our build we've had the opportunity to work with some outstanding subcontractors, including an exceptional electrician. But without question, Michael has stood out above everyone else. He's punctual, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and takes tremendous pride in his work. What impressed me most, though, is his character. If something isn't exactly right, he doesn't make excuses or become defensive--he simply makes it right. That level of integrity is incredibly rare these days. I've also had multiple tradespeople working on our home--people who know quality craftsmanship when they see it--comment on what an outstanding tile and surface installer we have. Hearing that from other professionals only confirmed what we had already experienced firsthand. Beyond his workmanship, Michael is simply one of those people you genuinely enjoy being around. It honestly feels like I've known him for ten years. Our personalities clicked from the very beginning, and we've developed a friendship throughout this project. I can be completely honest with him, ask questions, or bring up concerns, and we've always been able to have open, respectful conversations. That's something I value tremendously. He is just an all around cool guy. Without a doubt, I believe we'll remain friends long after our home is finished. If you're looking for someone who delivers exceptional craftsmanship, stands behind his work, and is an absolute pleasure to work with, I cannot recommend Michael highly enough. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made during our entire home build.

I received an updated invoice today saying invoice is now due today. Perhaps the original invoice was a typo, if so, the owner MUST inform the consumer of that mistake and agree to the changes. They can not make a unilateral change without notice. As a consumer, you have every right to question what was done and how long a job took. I ask everyone this, if you have a truck snow plow, does it take 1 hour to move the snow on the end he of the road that leads into a driveway? Doubt it. Again, readers of this review, you decide for yourself. I never have any problems of paying invoices, but when I feel I'm being over billed I will request for full validation and justification. Again, I have used James and his services for over 4 years so I was a happy customer until this recent event so this is not a fake review. ---------------- I'm updating my review based upon a recent dealing with this company. I call and requested a one time plow after the storm. I've attached before and after pictures along with the invoice I received. Long story short, very dishonest in how they conduct themselves. James is the owner and he's stretched way too thin. He has this business plus a real estate company. When I received the invoice, it was for 2 individuals with 3 hrs of work plus one individual for a snow plow for an hour. I might be completely off base, but I'll let readers of this review decide for themselves after looking at the pictures if it warranted 3 hrs of work by 2 men and 1 hour of work by one other man with a plow. I emailed James asking for validation. His response was...."Ive already given a $5 per man hour discount". I wasn't asking about a discount. I wanted validation. If they did do 3 hrs of work, I don't mind paying. I replied back to James asking for validation. His 2nd reply, "We dont do these neglected snow removal accts at all. I was reluctant because they are basically layers upon layers of ice. That is why we bill per hour". To my readers, it was close to 40deg on Friday, and yes there was approx 24-30 inches of snow piled up, but the underlayer was not completely frozen. I replied to James and said I will reluctantly pay the invoice and post on yelp. His unbelievable response...."We're sorry for that you're upset about the service you received we will discontinue all business with you in the future per your request thank you." I'll leave it all up to the readers to decide if they want to do business with a man and his company who can't even validate the work completed and is willing to brush off a once loyal customer. I will never use his services again.
