Some people don't pick up after their dogs and I have picked up several including my own. The head guy in charge of the volunteers is very nice but he is quick with the air horn. My dog came down with some parasite and my vet asked if I frequented a dog park when I said yes they asked if it was clean I said some what. They advised to go on Fridays after the park is shut down for cleaning. I've been to the park like 10 times and had someone say something to me 8 of them. The park is easily a 4 star park if everyone would pick up after their dog and mind their own business. They have 2 parks one for small dogs no dogs over 30lbs and one for all dogs. There's a portable Jon on site for people, plenty of parking and the security is 5 star seeing it's right behind the police station. Because my 8 month old lab got a parasite from this park I probably won't be back.

There is a connected playground with areas for 2-5 year olds and 5-10 year olds. Really fun and interactive features like pirate ships, spinning features, and slides. The entire play area is rubber so you don't have to worry about falls or wood chips. There is a nice grassy and shaded area in the middle to set up chairs and a picnic. A few tables are available but with no shade. You are also next to a dog park, hiking trails, basketball courts, baseball fields, and tennis courts. There is something for the entire family. Woods and bikes…read more Brook's Park is a very rustic park that has a wide variety of things to do. Some very nice basketball and tennis courts as well as a lovely gazebo for picnics and very gentle hiking trails with soft pine needles are found within the park. The park is situated right next to the 22 mile Cape Cod Rail Trail that goes through several towns and meanders down to the ocean for those intrepid enough to brave the chilly water to take a dip. The fact that the bike path goes through towns means it easy to stop and load up with liquid or better yet ice cream. The park is well used during the summer months and is also used for X-country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter. A lovely park to enjoy some activities or just find a peaceful and quiet corner for some relaxing and reflection.

Horses dogs and…read morebirds The Charles Washburn Park is a peaceful and scenic place tucked away down a small street in a quiet part of the town of Marion. It's a site of numerous equestrian events and has several horse riding areas that can be used anytime. Besides the equines the park also has an area for dogs. It's not fenced in but the folks can bring their canines in the area behind one of the horse rings to run and play with the other canines. The park also has some beautiful wooded areas and cranberry bogs and makes a nice place for a gentle hike. It's very flat and it's actually more suited for walking than actually hiking but the area is lovely, especially in the winter or fall. Lots of birds make this their home and bird watching groups gathering here during the year to catch a glimpse of their favorite feathered friend. Washburn is a different type of park that seems to cater to critters more than to humans, even though it does have baseball and soccer fields for the bipeds to use. A pleasant and peaceful place to visit if you happen to have a dog, horse or just want to see some birds or nature.
