The designer is the same for all the Dog Parks on the Cape... (so I've been told). Why then does the one in Mashpee not have a longer area, like the long walking area' around the edge in Falmouth? It either goes all the way or the majority of it anyhow; we haven't visited it in a while. The park is set up nicely. The doggie water fountain will be back on (after the winter is considered over) and that is a big bonus, as is the areas to sit. Most don't sit much, more ofter people gather in the gravel area with the dogs to encourage them to keep moving. It would be sweet to have a place to put human drinks, etc. where the animals cannot access them, but those of us playing with them can safely 'store' our.... hot/iced coffees, phones, etc... maybe a metal, rectangular ~ about the same as a size as a tissue box~ maybe attached to the top of the gate, leaning more into the segregated entrance side, but still reachable from within the doggie areas.
Oh, the area on enters, closes the gate to the outside world, THEN open whichever appropriate interior-gated area ... THAT (and the dispenser of doggie bags - who pays/supplies them, I wonder?) is THE best characteristic each dog park on the Cape has!! read more
