I was impressed with the variety of props, wraps and backgrounds to choose from. She was very gentle and careful when holding my son and changing the difficult color wraps on him; he managed to stay asleep for the whole session. My newborn and I were lucky enough to work with Masha recently. At 17 days old, my baby was a little fussy and her favorite thing to do is to fight nap time, but Masha was very patient and gentle with her :). When we arrived, she had 5 beautiful setups ready for us. Unfortunately, baby wouldn't stay in deep enough sleep for the last one, but the other 4 setups went well and all of the pictures turned out so cute! Masha was adaptable, friendly, and sweet, and we enjoyed chatting with her through the process as well. This is my first time ever having professional photography done for my children. My son just turned one and I wanted to get some photographs done with the theme of his upcoming birthday party "Where the Wild Things Are." I found Masha through some friends on Facebook who have used her multiple times for photography. I booked a session with her on her website in January after looking at the amazing photos on her website. On April 15, my son and I went to her home studio for our session. She was very hospitable and made us feel comfortable in her home. Before starting our session we sat down and talked about what kind of photos I was looking to get. We started setting up with some props that I brought and got the party started. I was looking for a wedding photographer in May of 2018. I looked at different photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area. I searched and searched for a photographer in my price range. I found lots of photographers,but many that were in my price range; I didn't like the quality of the photos. When I came across Mrs. Eckles' yelp page I was very impressed, so I sent an email asking for pricing and she was very quick to respond. Before I knew it we had met up to discuss what I was looking for in a photographer for my wedding. We set up a date for a trail engagement photo shoot. My then fiancé now husband is very shy and awkward in front of the camera, also very easily distracted when it comes to focusing and looking at the camera to smile. It was decided we would do the photo shoot at a park. We met Maria for our engagement photos, it was only my second time meeting her so I felt a little awkward though I tried to make conversation with her initially. After about five minutes of holding a conversation I felt like I had known Maria for years. We proceeded with the shoot, Maria made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Afterwards my husband consulted with me and we decided to go ahead and ask Maria to be our photographer for our wedding.
