Dr. Sherman was so mean to my mom and was not even allowing her to explain her symptoms, what had happened to her, etc. He ended up telling her that she could just leave with a prescription of prednisone! Please note that the prednisone is what made her eye swollen as she is very allergic to it. How could a professional doctor do that to an elderly woman who was already scared and had been crying herself to sleep for months after the botched cataract surgery. Then to tell her he'd give her more of what caused the problem in the first place? He knew she is allergic to it! Beware, be sure to never go to any doctor who is the least bit affiliated with the other. Shepard Eye Center sent my mom to Dr. Sherman so that just about sums it up. How dare Dr. Sherman be so unkind and unempathetic to a woman who lost her vision when she went to gain more. The quality of care the elderly receive these days is just awful!

I had been to four other doctors in the same practice before I was referred out to see Dr. Sherman. I was at the end of my rope with my eye not healing, and Dr. Sherman is giving me hope that eventually my eye will heal. He was the first of five doctors to take a culture of my eye to be sure it was not infected. He was the first to take photos of my injury and show me. He is the first to now be using stem cells in an attempt to get my eye to heal. He is so kind, compassionate, brilliant, and professional. I believe that I am finally in good hands.

I searched many doctors in my area, unfortunately most don't have a picture of the doctors and there aren't many reviews to make good decisions on selecting a primary care physician. I was fortunate to have selected Dr. Hatfield as my first choice. I will admit that he is in his older years but with age comes wisdom. Dr. Hatfield is a very knowledgeable Doctor. I appreciate the fact that as he's evaluating your health/symptoms he's also talking to you about them. Pretty much everything he sees, he's explaining along the way. You ask him a question and he knows the answer, not just a yes or no but an explanation along with it. He and his wife do an awesome job, they compliment each other. They're always carrying a smile. I always leave their office with a smile on my face, not just because of the excellent service but also from the good vibe that rubs off. Dr. Hatfield is there to help!

I was nervous and scared but his reaction was utter disrespect and said my attitude was bad and he was not doing the surgery. Please note this was the day BEFORE THE PROCEDURE. Dr. Ryu has a GOD complex and NO bedside manner. He treated me like a lowly slave who had no business asking him questions. If you want a compassionate understanding good doctor who treats people with respect and courtesy this IS NOT THE DOCTOR TO SEE. I have worked with some rude uncaring doctors in my ER in the past but he has been the worst. He may come highly recommended but I don't do pompous doctors who treat patients like dogs. I highly suggest people go see another doctor because this one is mean, nasty and rude. I know he might have been having a tough day but to take it out on patients is despicable.

At the time I was active duty in the military, and the last thing I needed was a chronic injury. weighing my options I chose to have it fixed surgically, after initially being referred to a different off base ortho surgeon, said surgeon referred me to Dr. Ryu. I had an arthroscopic repair done, and I will say I knew the recovery time beforehand and I was well informed as a patient. The surgery was well worth it in my opinion. At the time of writing this it is roughly a month and a half since I was discharged as his patient. I have full mobility, and with a semi intensive training regime my strength is about where it was before the surgery and post op atrophy. Well before I recovered, I was also unfortunately tasked with a physically intensive TDA well outside what I could physically do at the time. I worked within my limits, and was religious with my physical therapy exercises. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place when it came to my new job duties and my recovery. Looking back on it, I did risk further injury by pushing myself before I was physically recovered. When it comes down to it I attribute my outcomes post op to dr. ryus proficiency, and not luck. In all honesty I am many things, but lucky is not one of them. I genuinely do attribute my overall outcome from the surgery to Dr. Ryu's advice post op, and his proficiency as an orthopedic surgeon. I can only speak to my experience as a patient of his, and I am beyond satisfied with the outcome of my surgery. I will also say that as a service yelp caters to people that seek dissatisfaction, or a vector to complain. If I ever had a injury in my other shoulder, I would seek to be his patient again. my outcome speaks for itself.

In their haste to get me off the phone, I think they might have forgotten to even get my phone number....so I try again. Again rude, tells me my phone is cutting out and can't understand me. Also kept interrupting me to ask what I was calling for...as I was trying to explain exactly that. (Sorry, not a doctor, don't know the technical terms to explain easily...) Put me on hold, a new voice finally answers, says "hello?" repeatedly, and rudely. I finally hang up in frustration. Again they didn't bother getting my number.....
