This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

Walking down the street on Rambla and a "Huge Line" has gathered outside Cerveseria Catalana…read more Something special must be happening here to have this big of a crowd waiting. My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

So instead I ordered a late night deluxe combo from this place because they put their food in black boxes and it looked pretty from pictures haha. The food itself was actually really good and way too much for one person. The website was not working to put in my card information so I had to call in my order. I was put on hold and transferred (but quickly) to someone who spoke English and could take down my information. She was courteous and patient as we tried to communicate my order, card info, and delivery address. Overall it was a good experience and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend if you can shell out some $$ for good sushi and sashimi.

They have covered all the basic sushi, sashimi, hand rolls, cut rolls, inside & out rolls, chirashi bowls, and several hot items. The food is pretty standard and the fish seemed fresh. There are different combination boxes offered in different price ranges. I thought it most of it was pricey, especially considering that most of it was salmon and tuna dressed in different ways. Tried a couple yaki sobas.. Too sweet, dry beef, and really small portions.. Service was good. The guy was patient helping me navigate through the menu which was literally a thick picture booklet.

I quite enjoyed the "capresi maki" that combined bufalo moz, raw salmon with basil, rice and sense me seeds that made for an interesting palate. The place was packed for sure!

I'm sorry but this rating requires an explanation. What's that you say? That's what Yelp is for? Oh…read moregood, then I guess I'm in the right place. Let me first start by saying that the sushi is wonderful, fresh, and delicious. The decor is impeccable, and the service is outstanding. Actually, the last part is a lie. The service is terrible, and even beyond the normal terrible service you've come to expect, if that's imaginable. I get it. It's different here, it's not about the service. I'm not even talking about that, I mean it's bad, as in leaving raw fish in the "window" for over 20 minutes, passing it no less than ten times bad service. But I digress. Yes the food quality is great; yes I'm happy to have sushi so close to my apartment, but under no circumstances can I consider paying a premium for the cost to quantity ratio that is nothing short of abysmal. The portions are very small. Normally, I eat one maki roll and some sashimi; here, I needed (not wanted) two maki rolls and sashimi and to be quite honest, I was still hungry. The rolls are rather uninspiring and lack the creativity that I've come to expect, and such is life. At these prices it pains me to say that my hunt for a regular sushi spot goes on. Damn you, Kibuka!

The menu was hard to interpret in English but we did our best communicating with our server. We ordered the chirashi salmon, beef gyozas and a special roll of aburi uramaki. The salmon in teh chirashi bowl were huge pieces and the gyoza came out hot. The aburi uramaki roll was flavorful and interesting to have tasted the grilled onion pieces on top. It was more than enough food for both of us and it kept us full but I think we were expecting sushi flavors similar to back home (which wouldn't make sense since we're in a completely different country that has a slightly different style). Like the udon listed, my mom thought it would be the soup style but it was more like black bean noodles so I dunno. Great place for takeout since seating area is small. We were the only patrons eating in so service was on point lol
