Cute little restaurant with bright colors. Food was AMAZING! I've never had Dominican/Caribbean food and the flavors were perfect. My husband can't stop raving about his MQC and the Chimi with beef was perfect and tender. I'm just sorry it took us so long to find this place. We are definitely coming back

I travel about 10 months of the year, so I eat out quite a bit. Every time I get to a new town I try to find something nude different. Well I hit a home run on the first week. I was here with this amazing restaurant. I cannot speak highly enough of their food, their staff, and the atmosphere. I got two separate dishes as I have never tried this style of cuisine. Wow, was I beyond impressed. I have to say the wait is worth every second as everything is made from scratch. It is so fresh and full of flavor, mixed with the textures, it was perfect.

Eaten at the restaurant and now the food truck. I like the food but the portion size will send me somewhere else. $20 for a beef bowl and I'm still hungry.

Like a taste of home! Was so excited to see another Caribbean food joint open in Grants Pass and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the pernil (pork shoulder), rice, beans, and yuca frita! Mmm! Perfect for transplants who miss abuela's cooking and also for the adventurous who want to travel without leaving home.

I loved trying this Dominican Caribbean food. My food was delicious and very flavorful. There was lots of items on the menu, and I look forward to returning. Good service, kind people, clean atmosphere, and cute decor. Highly recommend!

Duuuuude, we are so stoked for this new spot. Ordered the pork shoulder with yellow rice and black beans, as well as the braised beef with yellow rice, red beans and plantains. Everything was phenomenal. Excellent flavor and quality. The town is lucky to have a Dominican spot that is so on point. read more

Absolutely amazing food that is worth the wait! Amazing flavors, and the owners are super sweet and awesome. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side but food to go is an option. Love to see a family bring their culture and flavors to this town of mostly dinners. I will be eating here again and again. read more

Having been to the Caribbean many times, this place took me right back there. Authentic and flavorful, they even import their spices. Will be heading back many times to sample their entire menu. Had the braised chicken with yellow rice and red beans. Wife had pork empinada and chimi sandwich. The edible straw was a first for me...lol read more

I ordered a weekly special, the Caribbean Jerk Pulled Pork. It came with a small salad and rice with beans. I ate all of it. It was so juicy, has an amazing spice to it... It did not disappoint. I also got the "tostones," twice fried plantains with this amazing bacon jam. I don't typically like onions, but this was phenomenal! I topped off my meal with their homemade (I think it was) passion fruit juice. It was all some of the best tasting food I've had. Between the hospitality of Joshua and Cecil, the quality of the food, and the quick service, I'll definitely be back!

I went to an event at Bayer Family Estate on Saturday night. From the time I got in line to order…read moremy food until I finally got my food was at least one hour. The menu kept changing because they kept running out of different items. The meal I paid for was not the meal I received. I paid $16 and ended up with some (dry) shredded pork over (instant?) mashed potatoes. It seems they were not at all prepared for the number of customers. Part of that problem should fall on Bayer for only having one food truck to handle that large number of people.

Mas Que Chimi is a gem of a Dominican restaurant serving up some of the best pernil we've ever had--better than what we've tried in NJ or Miami! We ordered the pernil platter with red beans, yellow rice, and maduros, plus a limeade and a beef and cheese empanada. Every bite was perfection. The pernil was melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor (slow-roasted overnight!), the maduros were perfectly sweet with crispy edges, and the red beans were rich and savory. The yellow rice with corn tied everything together beautifully. The empanada was generously stuffed and delicious, and the fried cheese was perfectly crispy outside and gooey inside. To top it off, the limeade was freshly squeezed and refreshing. The husband-and-wife team who run the place are as warm and wonderful as the food they serve.
