I wish I can give this office a negative review. every single doctor, staff in this office are very evil, nasty, rude, nasty and behave in a very unprofessional. They don't know to talk to patient. no bedside manner. They all want your money and a lot of money. every single thing they ask them a question, they charged you: lab work, prescription refill and any question. Please stay far and far away from this office. Please do not use the patient portal. They charge you a fee. this office is a scammer. I never heard a such thing when you communicate with them over the portal and they bill you for. Interesting, they try to empty and rob your pocket. you all need to report this office to the BBB and board of physician. The office manager is even worst person in this office. The call center Brandon and Stancier are both equally evil and extremely rude like their boss office manager and the doctor in charge of this office. Prior to my last visit, I was very happy with the endocrinologists I saw @ Maryland Endocrine. I would have stayed with any one of them, had they not retired. I had many issues with the doctor they assigned to me including a 90 minute wait time in the exam room after waiting in the waiting room and I clearly could not work with her. I called and asked to speak to the office manager, Kimberly Stahl who was unavailable to speak to me. I requested a call back to discuss my issues and she did not have the courtesy of returning my call to find out why it became necessary for me to choose another practice. I would highly NOT recommend Maryland Endocrine to anyone @ this point. I found there to be no interest in patient well being or respect for my time. read more

The office is going down the hill. Staffs are leaving. Doctors are lining up to leave this office and seeking somewhere else to do their practice. What left in the office are all of the junk employees and unprofessional provider. Particularly the horrible office manager Kathy I believe and the provider in charge of the office Dr. Argento. They treat patients the way so unprofessional manner. All of them from top to the bottom and I guess they influence from the leader who are behave in the unprofessional and evil to patients. The doctor I saw prior, left the practice and another doctor - Sergio Lizama-Hernandez, MD was available. I took the appointment since I had a prior diagnosis and needed to retest it. Needless to say, admin back and forth of appointment scheduling was a pain but, nonetheless, a virtual appointment was scheduled. The initial appointment was ok, too many questions and yet decided to retest previous diagnosis. Tests came back. A few days later, a small summary was sent to my portal - no personal call (unlike other providers). When I called back and asked to clarify the findings and what to do with ZERO cortisol and another high hormone level result in my bloodwork the medical assistant told me she would ask the doctor to get back to me. Never happened. I even offered a tele-call the can bill as a visit, yet nothing. I am seeking another opinion with another office to get peace of mind. As a patient, I deserve to know and not beg for answers. Not an acceptable practice for me nor the doctor to continue to see. read more

TRICARE PRIME HOLDERS - TRIPLE CHECK and make copies of your referrals because this office will lose them! Billing office closed at 230pm when it's supposed to stay open until 5pm. I previously called Billing's 800 number and had the worst customer service experience from a medical billing representative. I was obviously put on speakerphone, I heard someone else in the background listening to my business, and it sounded like the representative was cleaning? I got no clue, but it was really unprofessional. I had to repeat myself several times because she couldn't hear me, when she herself was obviously not paying any attention to me. My call got routed to her on 12/8/22 around 203pm. I was also put on hold for no warning for over 15min. Why even have a dedicated customer service line to make sure your billing questions get answered quickly if they close early and the representatives are very unprofessional?? I decided to call my Endocrinologist office in Columbia to reach someone to talk about my bill, being put on hold numerous times because the receptionist was trying to talk to me while also checking in and out patients at the same time. However, unlike the really unprofessional first representative, the one at the front desk was very professional and was doing her best to juggle everything. As a Tricare Prime user, we require referrals to be seen and to avoid bill charges. I see my doctor only twice a year, so I sometimes forget to check my referral date. However, it turned out the office never bothered to check if they even had my referral paperwork. I have been a Tricare Prime holder for over 4 years, and this is the first time an office hasn't checked my referral before an appointment. I usually call when I get an automated reminder to check to see if my referral is still good. I was probably told it was so I thought nothing more of it. Someone didn't do their job because my referral lapsed and I had no idea I needed another one. I had an appointment 10 days after my referral expired, and no one bothered to check this despite knowing the insurance I have. Why accept Tricare Prime if you won't do your patients the courtesy of checking to see if you a) even have their referrals and b) if they are expired? read more

Doctors may be ok, but front desk support and blood work taking people were super rude, they never wait for patient to take breathe, when you get ready to inject needle, people will get scared obviously, if you say wait a min, they throw the syringes into trash with rude behavior, also they're on the mobile phone with EarPods all time with talking to someone else with multi tasking with office work. Front desk support also super rude when my wife want to call me for confirmation of appointment date, not sure how patients are surviving here. They are not realizing the money they get salaries by patient payments/Insurance claims only. The management has to deal with counselling or teaching lessons for front desk support and blood work taking people how to deal with patients. read more

I would not wish this practice on my worst enemy. First, the doctor had not read any of my paperwork or anything before seeing me. She spent several minutes discussing the benefits and existence of a medication that I had already been on for over a year before she eventually realized I was already taking it. She was also shocked to learn that I have an active eating disorder that I am receiving treatment for. This was written in multiple locations in my paperwork, which had been also ignored. When asked about the eating disorder, the doctor didn't seem to believe anything I said, and rolled her eyes. If you have a history of an eating disorder or are in recovery from one, BEWARE. The doctor recommended I start a restrictive diet and lose weight. She also offered Ozempic for weight loss, even though I was being seen for low blood sugars. I spent four weeks trying to speak with a supervisor to explain about this and why telling someone with an eating disorder to lose weight is a bad idea, while the practice gave me the runaround and ignored my calls. When I finally got ahold of someone, it was clear they didn't care about my actual health, and I was told this was standard advice. Finally, they told me that they didn't know why I was seeing an endocrinologist if I wasn't going to listen to their advice (to lose weight). I guess people with eating disorders can't have endocrine problems! read more

I was going to be a new patient but after being on hold nearly 10 minutes and then berated by the staff, I decided that this was not place for me. I was asked who was my insurance provider and what my condition was before asking my name. Additionally, I was told that they do not provide diagnosis and only treat conditions. I was thoroughly confused given that information. Do you even confirm diagnoses or do you just prescribe drugs? I heard great things about the endocrinologists there. Unfortunately, I was unable to get that far. I'm traumatized from the front house staff. read more

I wanted to schedule an appointment as a new patient with Dr. Elizabeth Jenkins. The answering service this office uses is awful. I left three messages for a call back and after ten days I finally received a call back. I said I wanted an appointment and provided lots of info about my condition, etc. I was told three months for an in-person appointment, but just two weeks for a virtual appointment. I said OK. At the appointed time, I was on-line and ready for my virtual appointment to begin. The doctor never showed up. Of course, I called the office--voice mail again. I left a message. I may or may not get a call back. The ironic part is that the answering service says they only answer phones at certain times during the week. Yet never has someone answered the phone during my four calls to the office during those limited hours of service. read more

I've been with this practice for my type one diabetes for 13 years! The office staff is great and friendly and my initial ENDO, Dr. Kahn was FABULOUS and I was assigned to Dr. Tello who is great also. Dr. Tello is understanding with my 36 year journey with my diabetes! Lately, my IDDM has been acting up severely and she took the time I needed to understand my situation and my extreme frustration with my body. She even scheduled an extended appointment with me because she knows how incredibly vigilant I am about being in COMPLETE CONTROL! read more

Unfortunately a staff member (clinical administrator) in the front of the office is rude, unhelpful, and downright belligerent towards patients and it sets the tone for the visit. The morale and efficiency of some of this office staff needs work. When your dealing with patients with chronic conditions a little compassion goes a long way. I've been in the medical field for over 30 years, and my family member has been a patient here for at least 5 years, if it wasn't for their physician they would be seeking another office to manage their condition. read more

At my second visit, the doctor decided to undo all my basal rates (the product of 10 years tweaking by my Joslin endo) and give me one rate all day. I tried it for two days, felt very sick, and went back to my previous finely tuned rates. I won't be going back to Dr Corriere again. I have been coming here for almost 3 years and my experience has been quite disappointing the last few months. A few months ago I went in to get my labwork done. I was given a number card and told to wait. After me, another lady came whose number was right after mine. The another lady came with a number that was before mine. The lab tech called that lady, and she told them that we were there before her. The lab tech said she had to go in numerical order. There was no apology for making me wait longer. Today, something similar happened. I was checked in and told to go wait by lab. The lab tech asked for a paper and I told her that I didn't get anything. I had to go back and get the paper and then get my lab. Fortunately, at least the lab tech had the decency to apologise for the miscommunication even though it wasn't her mistake. I'm a healthcare professional too, and I am always friendly, respectful, and patient. However, I get the impression that the staff here does not respect me or my time. I'm starting to think that the team here thinks their patients are idiots and they can behave however they want. read more

I've been going to Dr. Briggs for over a year now and have always been impressed by her, and by Maryland Endocrine. In my experience the wait time is next to nothing, and Dr. Briggs is always courteous, efficient, and willing to talk me through whatever is going on or whatever questions I have. Also, there is a lab onsite so you can just get your blood work done there (fyi they take a break mid-day, though). read more

Worst practice I have been to in a long time. If I could give it zero stars, I would. After going there for about 5 years and being shuffled between 3 different doctors, I had had enough! In addition to poor service by support staff, Dr. Karon scaring me, Dr. Corriere's unwillingness to take me on due to his patient load, and their unwillingness to treat me as a human being vs. a number, I left and went to St. Agnes. I've been with Dr. Argento for over twenty years end have not had better doctor. Dr. Argento spends a lot of time with me and has never rushed through an appointment. All the doctors that I have seen are fantastic. The practice is well run and uses the latest technology which makes life much easier on the patient. read more

If your a new patient don't even bother. You will wait months to be able to make an appointment. And if it happens you have to change your appointment, you will have to wait another couple of months to change it. A lot can change within a few months, if your worried about your health and want to see a doctor ASAP this isn't the place to call. read more

Just writing a quick update--I had another appointment here, again with Dr. Briggs, and again they exceeded my expectations (which were already high given how wonderful the practice was to me last time I was here). This time I went to the Columbia location (last time it was Laurel) and was reassured that the Columbia staff are just as knowledgeable, empathetic, and professional as the Laurel staff. I regard Dr. Briggs very highly not just because of her calm demeanor, her knowledgeability, and the overall efficiency of the office--but because she understands her patients well enough to adapt her advice to what they need. I find her open-minded and encouraging, and these two attributes have helped me manage my health very successfully over the last year, and I am indebted to her and her team as a result. read more
