I've been getting my hair cut and colored here by Maureen for a couple years now. She listens to what I want and gives great feedback on what will work for my hair type. She did a fantastic job when I wanted to go super blonde, and also always gives me a great cut. Conversation is always fun, and the COVID precautions have been very reassuring during this time. I went in with lackluster, dishwater-blonde hair riddled with split ends and emerged with a glistening mane of strawberry-blonde locks thanks to the incredible Janie! She is so detail-oriented, friendly, and meticulous in her craft. During times when I was under the dryer, this amazing woman was also able to see to no less than two gentlemen who both left her chair with perfect haircuts. She multi-tasked, but no one's result was any less for it because she is a true professional. All three of us left the salon beyond pleased with the results of her craftsmanship. I will definitely be coming back to see her soon! In addition, the salon itself is so charming and well-decorated, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I would highly recommend this establishment! read more

Season rocks! She does a great job on my hair. And...I love her personality, she is so fun! I love Mary Jane North.

Was very impressed with this salon and the hair dresser. Being able to book online is a huge plus! Cute hipster salon in historic Fallbrook. I was offered fresh hot tea when I arrived and I didn't have to wait at all for the hair dresser. I saw Janey and she was very attentive and professional. I loved my cut and will definitely be going back. read more

I was looking for someone who was a good colorist and I found one here today! Susie took my boring hair and really made it something special! I reluctantly let her cut my hair (I'm always wanting to just grow it out and am afraid that a stylist will chop it all off) and she did a fantastic job of trimming all my dead ends without losing much length. I will definitely be a regular of hers! read more

Season has been cutting my hair every month now for a year and a half. She does a fantastic job! I have never had a hairdresser before that can consistently cut my hair the same way each time. I used to sort of dread getting a haircut because I was never sure how it would turn out. Now I look forward to it. Not only is she a real professional, but a very nice person as well. I moved to California two years ago, and it has been very hard for me to find a stylist that I like and connect to. I decided to try a stylist in Fallbrook, and checked the Yelp reviews. I came across Mary Jane North salon, and made my appointment with Maureen. Needless to say, she did not disappoint! I have the best haircut and color that I have had in the last two years! I have lived in Fallbrook for over 2 years, and had been too scared to try any salons in town. I finally deicded, after not having any color in my hair for over a year, to try Mary Jane North. When I went in to make my appointment, Emily greeted me and was so nice. She asked what I was wanting to do with my hair and I told her ombre and a trim. I came back the next day and informed her that I didn't think that I could afford the price of the ombre. She asked me what my budget was because she wanted to give me somthing I would be happy with and that I was excited about. She told me about a groupon they had going on and I was able to get my ombre color and cut within my budget. Emily was awesome! She took her time and did a great job, without taking hours to finish my hair. She was great at making conversation with me while she was working and making me feel comfortable. I had on overall great experience and would recommend Mary Jane North, especially Emily to anyone looking for a great salon read more

Mary Jane North was nothing short of professional and comfortable. I was greeted with such kindness by all the ladies when walking through the door. Although I requested just a "touch up" on my regrowth, Janie recommended adding some highlights and a trim. How nice of her to spend all that extra time despite an already long day. The esthetician, Nicole, also provided me with a wonderful and relaxing facial. My skin feels so soft and hydrated. Prices are unbelievably reasonable and the service that is provided is exceptional. Thank you to Janie, Nicole and the rest of Mary Jane North for such a wonderful experience. Sam read more

Ian did a great job on my hair. I just moved to the area, and was in desperate need of a hair cut. I have lots of layers (which I am trying to grow out), and Ian and I knew it was going to be difficult achieving the style I want. But he listened very carefully to me, and did a fabulous job in getting me so much closer to that particular style I want. I will definitely come back! read more

Susannah is so sweet and talented! I was so afraid that transitioning from brown to blonde, there would be a gross orange stage, but it came out perfect! Maureen is the best!!! I'm was in town visiting relatives and my girlfriend, who owns Mimi's Boutique, referred me to Mary Jane North. After speaking to Amanda, who is so sweet, recommended Maureen for me based on what I told her I was looking for in a stylist. During the consultation, Maureen had a list of questions for me from, how often do I wash my hair, to what type of products do I use. Also, what celebrity hair color/style do I like. Then she got on her cell phone and found a picture of the celebrity with the color just right for my skin tone. Throughout the entire time, she explained every process and took her time each step of the way. I never felt rushed or a bother. Maureen is passionate about what she does and she expresses that onto making you feel very special. Overall, she ended up doing a color correction that looks absolutely amazing. And although I don't live in town, she's certainly worth the drive. And one more thing...If I could give 10 Stars, I would! Thank you to especially Maureen, & Amanda, too! And my friend, Heather for the great referral. read more
