One of the restaurants with a good view of the park. The ambience is just like the other MG outlets, but this one gives a more airy atmosphere, perhaps due to the natural lighting in the outdoor seating.
Service is prompt, courteous and friendly.
Appetizer was pate' dulong in olive oil. A little spongy smell that leaves some fishy aftertaste.
It was brunch time, perfect for their all-day breakfast menu. Vigan longganisa is authentic: spiced, garlicky vinegar flavor, tender and juicy with just enough oiliness that is balanced by a refreshing thinly-sliced pickled mango, that is just on the brink of its ripeness. Perfectly cooked sunny-side up egg with the garlic-topped fried rice. Food served at the right temperature in typical pinoy breakfast presentation.
Classic Ensaymada, the signature of MG was a bit of disappointment; I've tried it before but the one served was not the usual - the bread is a bit on the dry. Perhaps just this one, will still be coming back. read more
