I felt like I was doing this on my own the entire time. I thought I was going to get an experienced attorney but I did not. Finally I get to speak to an attorney whose name is Daniel Messenger. He tells me that of all the cases he's seen mine had so much information. He was confident going into it. He spoke with 1 time before court for an hour and asked me questions about my illnesses. All he ever told me was that I'd be asked questions about it and for it affected my life. He spoke with me for a few mins a few days or so before court and asked if I had question. The day of court all he did was a short spill of my medical then the judge asked questions everything seemed just as he said until this person started in with jobs he says I could do. Along with codes and other stuff. I had never in my entire life heard any of this. never heard of the jobs before. I didn't know what was going on. The attorney sat quiet. I didn't know if any of this was good or bad. I honestly was taken off guard. After everything was done I spoke with him about what just happened. That's when I found out that the guy was saying jobs I could do. Basically a bunch of stuff no one ever prepared me for. I had never been put in this situation before therefore I didn't know if I was allowed to say anything during court. The attorney didn't so I just assumed I couldn't either. Come to find out later he should have said something or explained to me that maybe I should have interrupted. I didn't know I could interrupt a judge. Long story short I wasn't approved. And of course Daniel Messenger wanted to just be done. I said no there's a lot of information that wasn't correct in the judges decision. I explained it. He filed an appeal. Months go by and I get the call that it was still denied. He called to tell me that and he was done with the case. I told him I didn't think he represented me to the best of his ability. He got defensive and said the same thing he said before that he just does his little spill before hand and that's it. I said you didn't prepare me for the court case I didn't know what was going on with the job thing. That is when he lied. He tried to say he did. I know he didn't because I called him after court and asked what all that was. I remember his response he didn't think he needed to say I couldn't do those jobs because his little spill before hand said it all. He even says he didn't want to interrupt the judge because he said she kept signing and sounding annoyed that it was taking so long. That was the moment I realized he wasn't a good attorney. He couldn't stand up for his client. But I'm kinda stuck with him. Today speaking to him on the phone I brought all this up again. He said I wasn't remembering correctly. He just kept lying and saying he had told me all this stuff that I was saying he didn't. I even said I'm sure these lines are recorded so maybe someone needs to go listen to them. I told him I wanted to speak with someone over him. He would send a message to him. He said something else i don't remember what it was because he hung up on me. so I waited a few mins and called back to schedule a meeting myself because I do not believe him since he continues to lie. The receptionist transfers me to him where he again hangs up on me. I thought when I went to this Attorneys office I was going to get a professional lawyer. I expected to get the best of the best because the company had been around for a long time. That was not the case. Extremely disappointed in the communication at the business, the unprofessionalism, and quality of attorney put on my case. Whatever anyone does do not use Daniel Messenger. He may know the law and all the forms. He can throw out a bunch of form numbers and legal wording but he's not someone who's going to support you, explain things to you, and stand up for you. You can teach someone codes, laws and forms but you can't teach empathy, professionalism and respect.

I was out of pocket my medical bills plus my deductible. It wasn't a huge amount of money, but I just couldn't let go of the fact that the outcome seemed so wrong. I contacted Mr. Robles and we sat down and talked through my case. He acknowledged that it likely wouldn't be a very large claim, but he was willing to take it on to help me make the whole thing right. Also currently employed, working 40hrs a week. Don't know if I jumped too far into this, I thought SSA was going to drag this out til March or April 2024, but in October 2023 I applied for SSI. on 10/21/23 I received my denial notice through the mail. They informed me I make too much money, over $3k. On 10/26/23 I received a denial notice for Retirement Survivors and Disability Insurance. They informed me the same about making too much money and said that they only looked at my work not my health. My employment is at the VA Hospital in Temple, TX. I've been working there for over 9 yrs. Next year 3/11/24 I'll turn 62, this is when I'll be retiring at the end of march or the first week of April 2024. VA HR said that's when I should retire. Sorry, but this is how I feel. I'm frustrated, tired and really looking forward to this my mind and body aches. Yes, I may make too much money, I do have health issues that's over 12 months of severe illness and injuries that I'v been dealing with after Iraq 2017 in which they'r progressing for the worse. This's why I'm retiring next year so I can take care of my mind and body for longevity, because it will not last past 62 years. I know I'll need to submit documents of my medical files.
