I never had a question that was not clearly and promptly answered. Although Mrs. Vu and her staff have many clients, I alway was treated with a concerned sense of urgency as if I was the only one they are helping. I'm sure others received the same treatment. I was given detailed information and direction in each step of this process. Thank you Attorney Shirley Vu, and Mrs. Venegas for making this very difficult process come to a successful end.

My case was a very difficult one, with no single issue that by itself would warrant disability very easily, and made our case very difficult to represent. Shirley warned us that the odds were against this case being approved. However, Shirley took our case for our Social Security Disabilty claim and hearing before the Administrative Law Judge, after being denied initially and starting with our reconsideration phase. Be mindful that the reconsideration phase and then the time to the Hearing before a judge was over a year-and-a-half. This does not include the 13 month time for the initial application to be denied- your lawyer CANNOT speed this up, and most of that time waiting for a hearing is just keeping, and gathering data from, doctor appointments. Shirley and her assistant, Valerie, were very helpful and very nice during this whole process, and were diligent in gathering all the paperwork from all those doctor appointments- also keep in mind that this is a collaboration with the Lawyer, so be diligent to make and keep those appointments. Shirley and Valerie always answered any questions we had, and communicated back to us very quickly- most of the time within minutes (during business hours, of course)! During the hearing before the Judge (done via phone conference in this case), Shirley represented me very well, summing up my multiple issues in the best way possible, asking me questions to put all my issues in the best light possible. Now for the hard part- no matter how good your lawyer is, you still only have about a 50-50 chance of winning approval for your disability- and in Texas, the odds are worse than most states. A good lawyer can make a difference, but only to a point (they do make a LARGE difference as to oppsed to having no lawyer- the stats back this up). In our case, Shirley was a good lawyer, AND we won approval! But had we lost, it would not have dimished Shirley's work and the professional way she represented us! Thank you, Shirley and Valerie! Forever Grateful, Donna

Experiencing such a terrible car accident at no fault of my own, resulting in a spinal fracture which then needed Spinal Fusion Surgery. As an active young adult, a back injury like that meant that my life would change drastically. I was scared and in pain. And I didn't know a thing about debating with an insurance company to be compensated fairly. I knew I needed a lawyer and Deborah Hensley was the perfect choice. Her and her firm covered everything I needed. She helped with my physical and mental health throughout the entire process as well. Choosing Hensley Law Firm was one of the best decisions I've ever made and encourage anyone who needs a Personal Injury lawyer to go with this law firm. You will not regret it.

Deborah and her team were happy to answer any questions that I had and did not back down in helping me getting the compensation to get the medical treatment I needed. She did not back down and checked in on my health often. The legal process itself is a frustrating process, but choosing Hensley Law Firm was the right choice that helped me get through it. I highly recommend them.

When I asked he told me the amount settled for had decreased. All they do is bull shit you around. My advice would be don't settle for the first lawyer that pops up on Google. Do some research. And find a lawyer that will fight for you. I have another case open with them unfortunately. I won't be expecting much from these liars.

Then, with a difficult to reach witness and the other party in the accident denying the facts that made the accident clearly their fault, I was told by my insurance carrier there was nothing they could do. I was out of pocket my medical bills plus my deductible. It wasn't a huge amount of money, but I just couldn't let go of the fact that the outcome seemed so wrong. I contacted Mr. Robles and we sat down and talked through my case. He acknowledged that it likely wouldn't be a very large claim, but he was willing to take it on to help me make the whole thing right. It took a while to get ahold of the witness and finally get the other insurance company to reverse their decision, but Mr. Robles and Richard, my case manager, stuck with it. Over the course of it they kept me informed on the status and were a pleasure to deal with. I hope I won't need this kind of help again, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to use Robles & Associates again.

Also currently employed, working 40hrs a week. Don't know if I jumped too far into this, I thought SSA was going to drag this out til March or April 2024, but in October 2023 I applied for SSI. on 10/21/23 I received my denial notice through the mail. They informed me I make too much money, over $3k. On 10/26/23 I received a denial notice for Retirement Survivors and Disability Insurance. They informed me the same about making too much money and said that they only looked at my work not my health. My employment is at the VA Hospital in Temple, TX. I've been working there for over 9 yrs. Next year 3/11/24 I'll turn 62, this is when I'll be retiring at the end of march or the first week of April 2024. VA HR said that's when I should retire. Sorry, but this is how I feel. I'm frustrated, tired and really looking forward to this my mind and body aches. Yes, I may make too much money, I do have health issues that's over 12 months of severe illness and injuries that I'v been dealing with after Iraq 2017 in which they'r progressing for the worse. This's why I'm retiring next year so I can take care of my mind and body for longevity, because it will not last past 62 years. I know I'll need to submit documents of my medical files. Want to know what my chances are of receiving SSDI while receiving 100% VA disability? Do I appeal SSA decision or let it expire and start over until after I retire from my employment? TY. Mr. Anderson, Michael A. This's my feedback from my free case evaluation. 11/02/2023. (SO MUCH FOR 2nd CHANCE LAWYER). FEEDBACK from my free case evaluation, I give it a thumbs down one star. I'm very disappointed. While at work I seen Ms. Attorney Merryl Jones commercial, I got very excited and said finally the disabled Vets got someone on their side, boy was I wrong, It's all about that mighty $. I feel as though they were biased. I went online and submitted a free case evaluation form to get an appointment to be seen, they did it the unprofessional way her staff members called me instead of properly professionally acknowledging my case request. There was no appointment schedule, they called me wanting me to talk on the phone for me to repeat myself; like spell my name, what's so hard on spelling Michael Anderson, phone number, what city I'm calling from, what's my address and all this info was on my free case eval, this made me feel uncomfortable, almost like I was bothering them. What are they really doing? There was no proper protocol. Their actions showed unprofessional misconduct. They never asked for proof of documents of my issues only went by word of mouth. Never sent me notice of decision from there office, they verbally denied me over the phone and agreed with SSA on me making too much money, they really didn't acknowledge me as a real client never took me seriously, basically blew me off like I was a nobody, that's one thing you don't due, blow off a disabled Veterans in need. Never spoke further about me retiring in 2024, never got into details about my health, they never look forward to me being a client. They never said after retiring give us a call very unprofessional. They weren't engage about my issues. I will let other Veterans know my experience with second chance lawyer. The door was slammed in my face, I never got to first base. Mr. Anderson, Michael A.

Luckily we looked further into other lawyers and found one that would take her case. I would never recommend this lawyer to anyone.
