I went to this elementary school when it first opened. I have no complaints about the teachers…read morebecause they were kind and had lesson plans. It was very rare to find a teacher who didn't care for her job. However, one teacher who didn't really care for her students was hired, but was fired for that very reason. The campus supervisors were also very kind, but didn't do anything if bullying was reported to them. I don't quite remember the name of the principal prior to Ms. Jacqueline Hall, but she also didn't do anything when bullying was reported. The principal before Ms. Hall didn't want to give consequences to the bullies, but pull out the kids who were bullied. Once Ms. Hall became principal, the school was a better environment.

The second day he was a mess, I picked him up crying from class because his preschool teacher Mrs. Maria is a bully. She didn't want to deal with him, she never introduced herself to me or welcomed my child into her classroom. She was pissed that she got an extra child halfway through the school year, she would suggest I splash water in his face when he wouldn't listen, she asked me some personal questions that were inappropriate for a teacher to ask, she would make me feel so uncomfortable daily and everyday my son would be in a corner crying when I picked him up while his teacher was on the opposite side of the classroom rolling her eyes. Who needs bullies when you have teachers that will do just that. I took him out of there so quick & changed schools... my son finally goes to a school that doesn't see him as a burden.

I have seen them work harder on diversity efforts which has always been my main concern. I do think there's still room for improvement there however it's gotten much better over the last few years. Bullying has always been a factor for my children however being the parent that I am I always reach out and any issue seems to be immediately addressed. They ensure kids are continuing to get the Christ-Centered education which is my main objective for my remaining child. Overall I do recommend school however I encourage parents to address issues immediately when it happens as yes it could be swept under the rug if not addressed.

All the other teachers that we had to work with demonstrate a "I'm just here for a pay check"attitude. Rather than to be warm, helpful, caring and show concern for your child's success in school. Unfortunately, I can not say anything positive about the front office staff. On many occasions, I've witnessed the principals secretary Angel get pretty short, nasty and rude to parents. It seems like she is forced to smile and be nice to people. And every time I have to go in the there Angel is ALWAYS gossiping! She is either saying something negative about a parent, teacher or student. I believe that is so unprofessional. Not only in a work place, but especially at a school. That's why it's best to avoid the front office and just email the school. That way you don't have to deal with negative & cold attitudes.
