My first and probably last trip to Marvin's in Monroeville today. No one asked if they could help us so after a couple of laps around the place I asked a guy at the center desk if they had what I was looking for and he pointed to a couple of boxes standing in a rack. Well, it was what I was looking for except that there were two boxes and they were both empty. When I pointed that out the guy said "well, we must be out" and continued his attempt at looking busy. No, he didn't bother to remove the empty boxes or give us any idea when they might get more. Only thing I can tell you is don't go alone because if you were to drop in a remote corner you may never be found. Since there are no zeros I give it a one. read more

We've patronized this store in Atmore many times over the years; it's closer than Lowes or Home Depot, so as in most stores in Atmore, service is dicey. It's strictly luck of the draw whether you get served, or not, and if that person is long or short on give-a-damn and work ethic. At the end of the day, we take the shot rather than drive 40-50 miles one way, otherwise. And they're open on Sunday, so that's helpful. read more

I visited the Atmore area Marvin's today and I had the worst experience of my life. I was their for a belt for my lawn mower. I waited for an associate for help. He was assisting another customer. Once he finished with that guy he headed back to the desk in the middle of the store where I was already standing when another customer walk right by me and started talking to the associate. I passed this off, maybe he didn't see me standing there. When he finally was through speaking with this customer he turned to ask how he could help. While walking us to the area to help us find a belt he stop to help another customer. He even went as far to go and check out this customer. We stood there in disbelief. I'm not going to play the race card with this one it was bad service all around. When I asked for the store 800# to make a complaint they gave me someone's personal number. David Black if you are unable to treat all customers equally find another line of work. I may not shop there much but that was my last visit. I know I won't break the bank but I have more pride for myself to go where I am respected!! This is the first complaint I have ever made in my life!!! read more

Would you like to step back in time as far as good quality, good manners and great ethics? Then you might like taking a trip out to James Lee Blvd and take a good look at Crestview Wholesale. They have 2 building's out there and so much to look at. I am simply shoked that I didn't know about this place. They have been there for year's too. These guys have better prices than the big box stores and more helpful too!! Next door they also…read morehave a surplus store where you can find loads for flooring and tile quite often. I ended up getting grey wooden style ceramic tile for 50% from the big box stores over in the surplus section and some plywood, 2x4's, and screws I needed for a project at home, highly recommend!!!

Showed up for liquidation sale posted on FACEBOOK went to check out and "new policy in place"…read morephysical name needs to be also be on the business bank card also. Showed business license, drivers license, and contractors license as additional proof and still no. Spent $35,000 last year in building custom homes was buying today because building a personal home. They lost business. Won't be returning Could have posted also on Facebook about new policy change for individuals who are driving long distances 2+ hours!!

They have very good quality building materials at much better prices than the big box stores. I'm also looking for a new light fixture but I think i'm going to go with a light fixture/ceiling fan combo. Anyhoo if you are looking for a specific window, door, lighting fixture or bathroom vanity etc., they have tons of options at very good prices. Def give them a look before you pay retail.
