We enrolled our son at The Hillside School in second grade. He was there for three years then re-enrolled in seventh grade to help pilot the middle school program. The strategies he was taught in reading and writing along with skills in meta-cognition and self-advocacy have successfully supported him through high school and he will graduate in June. He was recently re-evaluated by our local school district in preparation for college admission. While he will always have a learning difference, he has tested out of needing specially designed instruction and hence an IEP. The faculty and staff at The Hillside School have consistently guided us with compassion and respect. Our investment in our son's education in his elementary and middle school years has been worth the time, effort and money put forth. My gratitude for Hillside is deep and wide. We celebrate our son's strengths every day and look forward to a bright future.

There is an organized schedule for each age group which includes education, indoor play time, outside time, story time and various other activities. The center makes certain that the concepts and skills that are taught adequately prepare children for a successful kindergarten year. The management and staff are patient and kind while still maintaining discipline when needed. They have become a part of our family! It is always difficult to leave your children in someone else's care and finding a child care provider you can trust is vital. Both my children were happy, well cared for and comfortable from day one!

My son played D1 baseball and my daughter played D1 soccer all while maintaining high academic grades. They both have very successful careers and I have alweays given credit to Holy Family as the base of this. They had a great education and both of them returned to Nazareth, while my husband and I moved to Florida when we retired. We were so disappointed to hear about how much the school has recently changed, especially since the hiring of the new principal. Feedback from parents include lack of communication, transparency, structure, discipline, and the school unable to retain and attract teachers. Many people we know were heartbroken about these changes and had to make the decision to remove their children from the school and now many classes only have a few students. Anyone from Nazareth knows how tight this community is, so to make this change is not taken lightly. While Nazareth has a good public school system, my children wanted to give their children the same gift they were given, Catholic faith, small classes with warm teachers (most from Nazareth), our little community takes care of one another but unfortunately they had to make a decision to choose a school in Bethlehem. They choose a school that is what Holy Family used to be with a stable history of teachers, Catholic faith and great referrals from friends, family and the community. The bus and car ride will be a little longer, and the school is not in Nazareth but they had to make the decision that was right for them. Please bring back our little gem; please fix our Holy Family School. Please bring back administration that is from Nazareth and understands who we are before it's too late.
