Then the nurse had the audacity to ask my teen "so are you like paralyzed" as my daughter transferred to her wheelchair. Extremely rude to ask someone that when you have the medical history and you see she is obviously not paralyzed. Definitely treated my daughter different due to her disability, and all because she uses a wheelchair. I would never recommend him again. Shame on him and his office.

Conservative oral surgeon and I don't mean conservative in terms of politics…read more Visited for a consult because my general dentist suggested I remove my wisdom teeth but Dr. Lambert suggested I wait a little longer when there is a valid reason to pull the tooth since I didn't have a cavity on the tooth. General dentist thought my teeth gums weren't as healthy as it should be but oral surgeon said teeth looked fine and gums were fine. Wisdom teeth these days seem to be such an easy casualty to dentistry with most dentist but Dr. Lambert doesn't feel that way. He seems to only want to pull teeth that really need to be pulled hence his conservative approach to dentistry. He could easily line his pockets with fees from pulling every tooth that came through his office but he seems genuinely more concerned about patient overall oral health than making a quick buck on an extraction. Office staff was superb, polite and nice. Overall experience was great for me.

He screamed at me (at 10 years old) because I was silently crying during an appointment that he decided it shouldn't hurt. Mind you, I wasn't moving a muscle because at this point I was already terrified of him and his temper. When he saw that silent tear come down my cheek he flew into a rage. After, he turned to the kid in the chair next to me, who was also a classmate of mine at the time, and said, "can you believe what a little baby she's being? I bet you'll behave like a big boy." Just sick and creepy. My parents confronted him and he yelled at them that I was "being a baby and nothing hurt so it wasn't appropriate for me to cry". Thankfully my mom insisted on being in the room for future appointments and we eventually left because he couldn't control his vitriol. If you hate kids, you can choose not to treat them? This guy loves money too much to take that option, I guess. My siblings and I all have had to get corrective surgery due to his poor treatments, and he once tried to bully my parents into putting my sister in braces for 2+ years (and thousands of dollars) to fix a slightly misaligned tooth in the back of her mouth, which could neither be seen, nor had any negative impact on her, otherwise. I had buried this trauma, until I saw he sponsored a little league team in my new town, having moved an hour away from his original office, I was shocked that he still has a license, let alone has been able to expand. Truly terrifying. He should not be around children.

However, he talks so fast and assumes you understand everything he is saying at warp speed, I rarely know what he is saying about problems, treatments, etc. When you ask him to slow down or ask questions, he appears annoyed. He makes lots and lots of referrals for procedures (which he assures you he knows how to do, but would prefer you go elsewhere) and his referrals are in distant locations (CT, Harriman, etc.)-for folks in pain and with limited time constraints, this is impractical. Surely there are specialists in the MIddletown area who offer these services. His office staff is a nightmare. They lie, plain and simple. They will tell you whatever it takes to get you in the office, and then say "oh, she should not have told you that, we cannot do that, or that is not what she said" and make you think you are nuts. Gaslighting. Dentistry is expensive and I understand some of the reasons why. A good dentist is worth their fee. Dr. O'Brien charges more than average, in my experience, and not where I am going to spend my healthcare dollars.
