Approximately ten minutes after I called for a tow (and speaking with a doll of a woman who was very helpful), the tow truck showed up. I was prepared to wait at least half an hour which had been the norm in my past experiences. Also in my past experiences, getting the car hooked up was a lengthy process. Not with Marty's! Ismael had us moving on the road within 3 minutes of him arriving. Tow truck technology has come a long way since I've needed their help! Blew my mind. Ray is the man! Very knowledgeable and professional. The axel broke on my boat trailer half way in and out of my storage unit... it was very stuck. I was not equipped to handle the removal on my own, so I called Marty's City Auto who said they could help. I headed to Marty's towing after I, er, misjudged my truck's distance from a sign. A couple of parts were in danger of falling off, so I looked up Body Shops on Yelp and saw that Marty's was the place to go. After a short drive through a moonscape of old industrial buildings, I arrived at the garage. Ray greeted me, sized up the situation, and caught on that I needed a quick fix on my '95 vehicle, not perfection. He made an adjustment on one part, put in a screw in another, and I was on my way. Even better, his dog Wrecker, a huge, black-and-white beast that surely has some Great Dane in him, guarded me the whole time. This place was a lifesaver! I was on my way to Galveston from Houston (hour and a half drive from where I was) and halfway down there the plastic protector under my car came undone and was making the most obnoxious flopping sound the whole time. I could barely concentrate on driving. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find someone to fix it since it was a Sunday evening but I saw this place was open 24 hours for towing. The body shop is Monday through Friday 8-5 but I figured it was worth a shot. When I drove up 2 guys, I think one was the owner, greeted me with a smile and asked how they could help me. I told them and they immediately got under my car to look and see what they could do. Even though it was not body shop hours they took about 10 minutes to jack my car up and quickly fix the problem! I was so thankful! Talk about great customer service. I was prepared to pay a little something for their trouble but they said don't worry about it. I called Marty's Auto for some serious help. I had to move a ambulance that weighed over a ton! The next day they called me to let me know that an driver would be showing up in ten minutes. Exactly ten minutes later "RAY," shows up. This guy had no fear whatsoever. I mean at first glace you could tell this guy could pick up your car with a finger. He worked professional with trail and error. He had three or four plans in his head. Eventually one of them worked and he finally got the ambulance firmly on the truck. I do not reccomend. This morning, Marty's towing hooked up and took my property without my permission. He charged me 350 to get it off the freeway. I asked him to take it somewhere 5 min away and he charged me an extra 100. I feel like my money was stolen. He was very very rude, if you are in the Galveston area please get away from these people and do not use their services. read more

I was hit in a hit-and-run and the person who hit me refused to pay for the repair. And I hadn't met my deductible, so I was having to pay out of pocket. I called to junk my car. My boyfriend had broken down on 45 by Texas City. When I arrived to clear the car out, the car was missing. I called the police and the police had no record. These Guys Are Amazing!!! Totally saved my butt at 4 am on Crystal Beach. After calling a towing service on the island and paying for a driver to come and tell me there was nothing they could do I started calling around on Galveston. Many people heard Crystal Beach and hung up but these guys made sure it got done.
