It really is a one -stop shop and they have a huge range of magazines, including specialist ones that are difficult to find elsewhere, as well as newspapers, sweets, stationary and cards. This is also where the main post office is too - so expect big queues around peak times. I usually go around 3 or 4pm if I can, and find that the queues have pretty much disappeared by then. A really handy shop, with friendly, helpful staff. A huge asset to the town and a shop many of us cannot do without!

They carry what…read moremust be the widest range of magazines and comics, and an amazing range of cards, which whilst not the cheapest, are among the best quality available in town. They also offer a home delivery service which is reliable and well run. The staff in the shop are friendly and helpful, as are the counter staff in the ever-busy post office. Access to the shop is good, if a little tight in places, access to the post office part can be difficult in a buggy/wheelchair due to the queueing barriers they have in place, but they at least can be moved if necessary.

I really wanted to rate it as I haven't found this shop with a rating yet online and feel it really deserves a 5 star. Thank you.

The shop itself is a newsagents and offers a very wide selection of confectionary, magazines, newspapers and stationary. However they also run a fantastic daily newspaper delivery service to the surrounding villages. We have received a daily paper from them for over 20 years. They are also friendly shopkeepers, and always welcoming when entering the shop. All in all a highly recommended service to anyone new coming into the area who wants a reliable paper delivery service.

The market has been established within the rambling and historic Victorian school which has been tastefully decorated to give a fitting backdrop to the colourful stalls and huge variety of merchandise now displayed there. We invite you to come on a journey of discovery and explore the warren of rooms throughout the old school all of which are filled with a wide range of merchandise from fruit and veg to plants, crafts to clothes, haberdashery to fishing tackle, cake making accessories to baby wear and lots more. Many of our stallholders are permanent within the market complex, however at the weekends there are day traders who come along to sell their wares. We hope from the selection of market stalls you will be able to find just what you are looking for, and after your shopping experience you can enjoy a welcome cup of tea or coffee and a bite to eat at our award winning café.

However, I was informed that it was not permissible to try more than two items at a time. I endeavored to remain composed despite feeling quite upset. At the checkout, I politely inquired whether I could return the shoes if they proved to be too large. In my twenty years residing in this country, this was the first occasion I felt unwelcome as a foreigner. This experience was particularly unexpected coming from a second-hand shop and especially from an elderly lady.
