They had to take our insurance cards multiple times because apparently they weren't entering them in correctly. We waited over 2 hours from the time pediatrician called in prescriptions and they still weren't done so we had to make the 45 minute drive back, only to not receive everything we needed. WENDY was who we spoke to on the phone was whoever checked us out did not have a clue what she was doing. Definitely will be taking our prescriptions elsewhere.

The supermarket chain did decline for a few years there, but finally they did a turnaround and started coming back to their former glory. The best part of Winn-Dixie's turnaround was in their meat department. First, for a supermarket that proudly called itself the "Beef People," Winn-Dixie lost track of their vision and started selling cheaper grades of meat. Their beef went from USDA Choice to simply USDA Inspected. If you don't know, USDA Choice is a superior grade, second to Prime, and USDA Inspected is almost always a terrible piece of meat. I guess Winn-Dixie finally realized the error of their ways and put their focus on USDA Choice cuts of beef. They still have those cheap USDA Inspected, but those are the less focused. Kudos to Winn-Dixie for this turnaround and I would definitely recommend this particular location of Winn-Dixie.

When customers are not buying the smaller 2-3 pound offering they do not put out Family Packs until they sell the smaller offering. The issue is they have sold these BOGO for $6.99/pound or for $4.99/pound forcing you to pay more per pound if you want their chicken breast. The older Hispanic gentleman working the meat department in the mornings got defensive and nasty with me when I questioned it. He also mentioned that they were getting a truck in that day (Wednesday) and we could come back... as of that Friday no Family Packs and limited 2-3 pound offering for $4.99/pound... going forward we will buy all our chicken breasts at Sam's Club for $2.77/pound as it is always available and consistent.

This is just to review my COVID-19 test experience and not any other retail services of the store…read more There is a pre-step before coming on site for the actual swab test. One has to go online and fill out a questionnaire and reserve an appointment time. After submitting this portion, you wait again for them to "confirm" for the actual test to be placed. For me, that took a day or so between clicking online submission and receiving the email confirmation to proceed onsite. I requested the PCR (self-swab) test and the email instructions read to come to the drive thru lane. Onsite testing at-a-glance: We were slightly frustrated when we were told that we were in the "wrong lane" at the drive thru - so if you're coming here for your COVID test, come to the inner lane, closer to the staff window. After 10 extra minutes of switching lanes and waiting, I am handed two bags - one is the LabCorp bag with the vial tube (where you place your signed consent form) and the second is a smaller bag with the nasal swab (looks like a q-tip). They will guide you to self-swab both nostrils and to place the swab into the vial. There's a box to the right where one can drop the LabCorp bag with your now swab enclosed vial and hurah, it's done! While I did feel a bit bad for the cars behind us while they had to wait until I did all of this, but personally speaking, it was quite a simple visit that didn't take long. The only catch is that the staff also weren't too sure how billing would exactly play out (apparently I came the second day they rolled this out at this location), but the staff were told that the insurance info provided at the online questionnaire will be directly billed by the laboratory processing the test (LabCorp). So no actual payment is discussed at the specimen collection. We'll see how smoothly (or not) this part goes.
