    The very good lemonade
    Susan C.

We went for lunch at 11:30 on a Friday and the dining room was busy ! Lots of people and movement. Ordering was fast and they bring to your table. I had the Martin salad which was amazing !! Had everything I on a salad. I ate every single bite. I also got the roast beef to go for my dinner. The bun was tasty and piled high with meat. It was very good my friend bought a grilled vegetable sandwich and she said it was ok. Not great not bad. Probably would try something different next time. I would most definitely get my salad again !! But there are other things on the menu that I also wish to try The lemonade is very good and in BIG glasses. Definitely will be back

Went for the Bougie Wine and cheese event this past friday. While the cheese selection was phenomenal the wine portions were dismal. There didn't need to be a half glass pour but more than the two sips that were given. Truly disappointing as the wine was delicious!!

I absolutely love Martin Wine. They have a great selection of wines and spirits... probably why they are changing their name to just Martin's. But this is a wonderful place to get wine and ask questions if you aren't sure, there are plenty of well informed and knowledgeable staff members eager to help you. They have free tastings every Friday. Like 3 or 4 wines to taste. They have their amazing events that include wine tastings and spirit tastings, but my ultimate favorites are the wine pairing dinners by my favorite chef in the city, Jordan! He can make me eat oysters because he cooks so freaking well! I would love for him to cook for me personally, he is truly talented. Also, other staff that are talented and knowledgeable are bow-tie Blake. He is passionate and really explains things so well, but not just well, he explains them and markets them, like you want to drink what he is talking about right now. He was really born for this role. Brandon is another wonderful joy as is Alex. I also enjoyed going to one of their Sunday brunch parties. My goodness, what delicious food on the buffet and botomless yummy beverages. So good, I hope they plan more of these. I absoltuely love the events and hope they continue and add even more events to the calendar. They are reasonably priced, planned and organized well, and just overall very fun and laid back. I LOVE Martins! I'd give it 10 stars, if I could.

Lindy Special (top) Caprese Sandwich (bottom; pressed)

LOVE Martin Wine Cellar & their deli! Their new Caprese sandwich was delicious--I ordered it pressed, which I highly recommend. The Lindy Special and The Sena Salad are classics of the deli, and I love them as well. I do wish the deli would start incorporating a side to come with sandwiches (bag of chips, side salad, etc.), but nonetheless, their sandwiches are amazing and this is a great place to grab lunch!

Martin's has been a part of my life for years, for so many reasons. When I need a hostess gift, birthday gift, or am having friends over, they are a great resource for this wine ignoramous. When it comes to wine and spirits I have very little knowledge, but the staff here is always helpful. They've never steered me wrong, and they carry good wines and cover all price points. And they have a great selection of gifts for wine drinkers, cute wine gift bags, party extras like crackers, candy, wine buckets, etc. Now for the food...... Their deli is amaze-balls. Awesome sandwiches, salads, soups, cheeses and ready made party food. Their burgers are top notch, but take a time to cook, so place your order and be prepared to wait few minutes. I promise it will be worth it. Their catering is great too. I've ordered most of their menu and have always been impressed. I just love this place.

Chocolate chip cookie (9/10): Highlight of the meal. It's a pretty good cookie. Fruit cup w/ dip (8/10): That dip! Yum. Much better tasting than the dip you get in the grocery store fruit trays. The strawberries and pineapple could've been sweeter, but the grapes were good. Service (9/10) The to-go team member was knowledgeable and friendly. It is so rare to find a place where the food tastes the same every single time you visit. I never have to worry about a recipe changing unexpectedly or the quality dipping; it's always that same savory, delicious flavor I've come to crave. Because the food is so good, the word has definitely gotten out! It starts to get quite busy and energetic right around 11:30 AM. If you're planning to dine in, just be prepared for a lively, loud atmosphere--it's a popular spot for a reason! What really keeps me coming back is the complimentary ice cream cone. There is something so special about an establishment that shows appreciation for its patrons by offering a little treat on the house. Even when the restaurant is packed, that gesture makes you feel like a valued customer. For the most part, the machine is always up and running perfectly, unless it's down for a quick tune-up. Overall, if you want a reliable, delicious lunch with a sweet finish, you can't beat this place. It's worth every penny

You wouldn't expect much from the outside since it's tucked into a small plaza, but it's quaint, cute, and the food truly speaks for itself. We'll absolutely be back.

A quick Yelp search revealed the Po Boy House, on Sena Drive. This restaurant has a small footprint and occupies the space of a former Thai restaurant. We were greeted immediately and told we could sit anywhere. As the restaurant was empty, we had our choice of seating. My wife got a fried catfish dinner which neither impressed nor disappointed, but rather, was just ok. My son's oyster po-boy was just ok as well. I got the catfish po-boy. The bread was incredible fresh, but I prefer a little more crunch to the exterior of my French bread. The sandwich was good and the catfish was seasoned ok, but there simply was not enough fish on it for me. The staff was very nice. Hope they make it.

If you read…read morethe whole review I'll give you the best tip on how to skip the line (insert shushing emoji) and don't cheat by skipping to the end! Hands down, the best po'boys in all of NOLA. Everything is made from scratch (except the bread, which they source locally), and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorites are the Surf & Turf and the James Brown. The Surf & Turf gives you get the best of both worlds (shout out to Hannah Montana). Look it up kids. You get the slow-cooked roast beef with gravy plus fresh Gulf shrimp. Shut the front door! The James Brown is just as incredible: juicy BBQ beef, pepper jack cheese, fried shrimp, and a hot sauce mayo. Bring napkins - you'll need them. Pro tip: go with a group and order a few different po'boys to share. You'll want to try everything. You made it to the end, so here we go. I feel like gate keeping (look it up old-timers), but I'm going to be generous because I love y'all. In order to skip the line, go to the bar area and find a high top or seat at the bar. A seat always opens up quickly. It never fails. You can order from the bartender and the service is top notch. Cheers y'all!

Parkway Bakery & Tavern -- 4…read more Okay... let's start with the bread, because baby in New Orleans that's where it's won or lost. And THIS bread? Yeah... they did that. Soft, fresh, easy bite. Not that hard French bread that have you pulling and pulling like you in a workout and your jaw about to lock up. As a born and raised New Orleans girl, I'm real particular about my French bread because the bread will make or break your sandwich. I don't know if they bake it in-house or source it, but whatever they doing... keep doing it. Now before I even got the food, let me talk about ordering because that was a little journey. I ordered online and initially had some issues. I actually had to go through Google and search to even find the right website. It wasn't super easy to register or navigate at first, but once I got to the correct site, it was smooth sailing from there. I placed my order, got a time window, and they gave very clear, precise directions on what to do when I pulled up. Now pulling up, I did have to go around the corner to get into the drive-thru situation, but when I tell you... they have a SYSTEM. Very organized. Cars lined up, steady flow, and it looked like business was booming. There's artwork outside, multiple stations, and everything just felt like it ran with purpose. I walked up to the first booth, told the man my name, and he already knew my food was ready. Directed me to pull up to the red light where pickup was, no confusion, no chaos. They don't play. They stand on business and I respect that. Now the food... The shrimp were nicely fried, good size too. Not them little tiny ones where you gotta search through the sandwich just to find one. Every bite had shrimp, evenly distributed, and seasoned well. That's how it's supposed to be. The sauce was good too. It had that New Orleans style BBQ feel to it, kind of like a BBQ shrimp sauce. Messy in a good way. Now the roast beef... Flavor was there, but texture-wise it leaned a little dry for me. It wasn't juicy like I expected. It did say it comes with pepper jack, but I didn't really catch that flavor. Granted, I did add onions and mustard, so that could've played a part. Overall though, it's still worth trying again. Next time I'm probably going to order it as-is, no changes, just to really get the full experience the way they intended. But yeah... Parkway definitely earned a spin back.
