J Martin Home Repair has made maintaining and upgrading my home very simple, one call to Jacob, and whatever I need is already happening. Tile, cabinets, doors, drywall, you name it, he'll take care of it. Jacob came out to install flooring, and my wife and I loved his work so much that we ended up having him do crown molding, some drywall and texture repair, and replace baseboards. Using J Martin for the last several years I've learned that the work is top notch, the service is reliable, and the pricing fair. In conclusion, I'd highly recommend Jacob at J Martin Home Repair! read more

Jacob was great. I called him and he came out within a few hours to fix my doors that were not closing due to a new carpet install. He also identified other problems with the doors and went out of his way to fix them. He also cleaned up when he was done. I recommend him for whatever fixes you might have. He came thru for me just two days later. Jacob stepped to help me with a plumbing leak problem. He came out in the evening for me. He went out of his way to go to Home Depot to get the parts to fix the problem when I brought the wrong ones. Again I can't say enough about how reliable, honest and trustworthy he is. read more

In October 2020 Jacob took $400 dollars from me to secure a date to install a wood beam and a light fixture in my home. Since then, he has given me many reasons why he couldn't make the scheduled appt. I've asked him in mid December to refund the money as he communicated he just couldn't catch up with his work. I have to date not heard back from him, he ignores my text messages, my phone calls. He must think he can rip woman off. I made a big mistake in giving him any deposit but I will be getting the money back soon. I hope you don't have to run into any problems with this contractor. By the way his construction license is not active at this time. 1/22/2021. read more

We hired Jacob to open up a room and install recessed lighting, light fixtures, and an over the range microwave. Price was right and he was very detailed about the work that he did. He explained everything he was doing. Additionally, at the end of the job, he cleaned up everything and took away the debris. Glad that we hired him! read more

Jacob is an honest dude. Had him look at some wood flooring that was scratched up and he detailed my options for repair. I told him that I wanted the floors to look presentable incase I decide to replace the floors down the road and wanted the least expensive options. So he offered to come and try staining the areas that needed fixing. He came through at the exact time he said he would. He stained it and it looks a whole lot better. He gave me a fair quote but also suggested that I could do it! He told me what to buy and how to do it. I appreciate guys like him. I will hire him to do other repairs because I trust him. read more

Was looking for someone to replace an existing exterior door. Came across Jacob. He answered all my questions over the phone, so I decided go forward with his service. We set up a time, he came a did a great job on install my new door. Very professional he cleaned up after himself when finished with work. He even cut the door & trimming for me so I could fit it in my trash cans. While working on the door we were talking about projects I have done around the house and I was telling how I had a few outlets not working. He offered to take a look at and solved my issues. The best part was he didn't even charge me anything extra for fixing my outlet issue. I will recommend him to any of my friends and family. Thank you for everything Jacob!! read more

Owning a rental property comes with maintenance and repair challenges from time to time. I've had several contractors that have either been unreliable; done poor quality work, or didn't complete the job causing a financial loss on my end. Jacob Martin has done two jobs for me recently and has been spectacular. Jacob shows up on time, explains what he plans to do, and does what he says he's going to do plus more. His prices are very reasonable as well. Now, I'm a person that is very knowledge about home repairs, and techniques. I simply don't have time to do it myself. I can tell you that Jacob doesn't take short cuts. This man knows what he's doing and I completely trust his work, and will use him again for my rental and personal home. read more

He was absolutely a professional, I met him on Friday 9:00 pm (very flexible) to see the water damage we had in the kitchen cabinet, quoted me a fair price be, showed up on time and day as promised and then did an amazing job. Finished work looks as if the damage was never there. He is very clean, professional and organized. Let me start off by saying he never did any actual work for me. I debated about posting a review for this reason, but I feel like people should know about my experience. I contacted him to do some flooring for my home. He showed up and gave me a quote. I asked him to send a quote in writing and he agreed. I sent him my email address and he never sent it. I called him up and he said he was having some issues with google and he would get back to me. I texted him and got no response. I emailed him and received no response. I lost three days. I'm trying to figure out why he even showed up. He could have just told me he didn't want the job. He wasted my time, which is not something I have a lot of. Beware. read more

I used to ONLY use Yelp for the reviews, but was never really moved to write reviews. J Martin Home Repair's work has compelled me to laud him from the highest mountain! I was really impressed by his professionalism, his desire to make me happy with his work, and especially his work, which I brought him in for. Jacob installed my new pre-hung double-entry doors, overcoming a couple of issues he encountered, and still completed the work much sooner than I anticipated. He would not be satisfied until I was satisfied. Doors look great! I believe they're in better than the original doors he replaced. He's now on my phone list as my go-to handyman, as I'm thinking about remodeling my bathroom next! Thanks you Jacob! I forgot to mention Jacob's honesty! He's fair and earns your business by his performance. Great guy read more
