For me I always have high anxiety going to the dentist. I had not gone for several years, to be honest about 6 to 7 yrs. No surprise I needed a deep cleaning. A very nice gal by the name of Tran, the hygienist, did my deep cleaning. The right side during one appt. and a week later the left side. Tran made me feel comfortable and was super gentle! She asked me several times how I was doing. She did an excellent job! I will see her next for my cleaning. read more

Great Dentist, Incompetent Staff My family and I have been seeing Dr. Brent Martineau since he opened his practice, over 15 years now, and he has always provided excellent care. Over the years, he has hired other dentists who lack his experience and don't always know the best approach - causing me to find another dentist office last year. My wife stayed with Dr. Brent because she has extreme anxiety going to the dentist (requiring sedation for anything other than routine cleaning and exam) and she really trusts him. This morning, when we arrived, we found the staff had failed to have her sign the required consent forms prior to her visit. Since she was already sedated (they did not find their error until just prior to her appointment) she could not legally sign the consents and her appointment had to be rescheduled. This is not the first error made by this staff that has impacted our care (and schedule, since she has to be driven to the appointment). What really struck us, though, was how abrupt and uncaring the staff were about their error - not really seeming to care at all about her as a patient and treating this all like it was "no big deal." This tells me they either don't care at all about the patients they treat or this is a common occurrence. In either event, we are now changing dentists and I could not recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I started having tooth sensitivity/pain a few days ago but wasn't too worried since I didn't have pain drinking water the whole time. Saturday morning 03/16/24 I took my first drink of water which gave me immediate sensitivity and pain. I'm thinking it can't be that bad and nothings wrong. So I kept trying to drink water as I was getting ready to head out for the day. Well I figured it was too much pain for myself and something was wrong. I called thinking they would be closed and leave a message to get in Monday morning. To my surprise they were open on Saturday 3/16 and were able to get me in, which I'm so thankful for because I did have a small tooth fracture. They were able to get me in same day and fix the issue. Thank you Dr Green and the front office gal that got me in today. read more

Going to a new dentist is always the most nerve wracking experience for me. However, with Martineau Dentistry, I knew I was in good hands from the first phone call. The in-take call was quick and easy as were the online forms. The x-ray experience (usually a rough one) was soooo much easier than any office I've ever been with. Not only do they have one of the machines that does 360 degrees, but the others use a hand x-ray so there was none of the waiting as the tech runs to and from the room! The doctor was in and out before the cleaning started. I personally appreciated not having the weight of wondering if I needed work done while having the cleaning. His visit was short and sweet and since he found nothing of concern, I was totally fine with that! My hygienist, Linda, was soooo nice. There was no problem giving me topical for the cleaning and she explained why I need to do a better job at flossing and doing my follow-up appointments. She checked in and gave mor topical as needed. After the appointment, my FSA card didn't work so the front desk gave me all the paperwork I needed to get reimbursed. I'm moving to a new state in a few weeks so they also emailed me all of the x-rays and gave me a note of what I had done and when I should see a dentist again. All in all, I was in, out, and very happy. Thank you all so much for taking care of me! read more

This place is a joke. Went through an exam, apparently they just looked at one side of the mouth at one tooth. At the end they charge me $125 then mention about a new patient special for a full exam at $99. This was after they forgot to charge me for the initial exam of one tooth. Next, they don't know if a root canal is needed so they want me to go to another office to get it checked out. Exactly what was the point of this visit, besides over charging me and getting the same amount of information I knew before going in? read more

My entire family, which includes 10 of us, have been going to this dentist for over a decade. Everything was great until a serious procedure needed to take place. I told my wife to leave the dentist she was seeing because Dr. Brent was the best of the best. She needed 2 front teeth implants. Well it was a disaster from the get go. The 1st day she arrived to meet with Dr. Brent to get her impressions done he wasn't in the office and somebody rushed and did her impressions and didn't match the color so she ended up having 2 temporary teeth which were several shades darker than the rest of her teeth. Then she finally got the implants put in which they told her she would have to keep in her mouth for 4 months before she could get her permanent teeth, and it's now been a year. They told her that she would go to the oral surgeon for her implants and then immediately go to Dr. Martineau's office and they would be waiting for her to put the temporary teeth in. They said they would consult with one another and have it all worked out. Well after she had her implants put in, we drove to Dr. Martineau's office and they asked us why we were there. We told them we thought we were supposed to come straight here and they said "no, you have an appointment in 4 hours so you'll need to come back." She comes back and the teeth are signicantly grayer than the rest of her teeth. She goes home crying and they get her in the next day and they were able to lighten the teeth a tad so they didn't look so incredibly different. Not to mention these 2 teeth are shorter than the other ones because they said she could damage them if she chewed something on accident with the front of her mouth which made sense. But now she had 2 short gray teeth in the front of her mouth.. She had 5 appointments after that which they canceled every single time and rescheduled about a month apart. Then they had to send the impressions back again because Dr. Brent tried to put them in and they snapped. Then they sent her to a different lab again for color matching . Then they finally come back and they don't fit snugly in her mouth and they told her it's the way the gums grew and that they will never get the teeth to fit properly and that she will always have a gap there. Then they agreed to send them back to the lab to see if they could fix them after I pleaded with them to see if the lab could expedite her case since she had been waiting a year now and her Baptism was in 3 weeks. 6 days later Dr. Brent has his assistant call and say "I'm sorry,but Dr.Brent feels that because the patient doctor relationship has deteriorated you will have to start over and go elsewhere". Doctor Brent decides to wait almost a week and decides to tell her you need to go elsewhere and start from scratch we will be refunding your money. read more

Love this office. They care more for their patience then their pocket book. I've been going to this office since they openned in their original location. The Dentist care enough to take their time to answer any questions you have and always give you teeth saving advice. Even when I lived over an hour a way I still would travel to this office to have any and all dental work done. read more

First off, I like many others are not too fond of having to go to the dentist but my experience here has been exceptional. Let's talk about the two ladies that greet you when you come in, Marsha and Betty. Both of these ladies were very nice and their customer service made you feel welcome and that you were not just another patient. When I was called back to get my crown, Sabrina was there to bring me back to the dreadful electric chair but her personality immediately set me at ease. She explained the procedure in detail, she constantly asked if I needed anything and just made me feel good about being there... if that even makes sense. When Dr. Zachary Martineau arrived, he was very nice and just like Sabrina did, he explained the procedure in detail. He is very good at his profession, and I will tell you I am not too terrified of going to the dentist but for those of you who are, trust me.....he will provide good service with very little discomfort. In fact, during my procedure I believe he realized he was going to do work in an area that might cause some pain so before he even started doing his thing, he numbed the area even more. By the time he started to do the reminder of the work, I felt absolutely nothing at all. Hours later, I am not numb anymore and I have no pain. Keep in mind I had a crown, so he did a lot of work at or below the surface of my gum line. Although I have a temporary crown put on, it looks so good, my tooth when I walked in looked like a landmine went off in the center of my tooth and I thought..."There is no way, they can fix this tooth!" So in closing I just want to say... Thank you all for providing great care and doing a great job! I can only give you 5 stars, you deserve 6! read more

Couple months ago I broke my front tooth so I went to Martineau Dentistry to get my tooth fixed. They couldn't fix my tooth, I have the option of getting a bridge or implant. I chose implant which it would take about 6-8 months process. They made me a retainer with a tooth so I won't be toothless. I came back today at the office because the tooth from the retainer need to get it glued back into the retainer, also after 2 months wearing the retainer it ripped in half ( almost half) that being said I want a replacement free of charge. Why would I pay another $150 for a new one I had the retainer for 2 months. They told me it's broken from wear and tear, I get it but I only have it for 2 months. I have my retainer from other company for more than 10 yrs now but still not broken. Then Dr. Brent ask me what is wrong with the retainer. I said it's broken and I want a replacement but I'm not paying another $150 since I only had it for 2 months. I have told him that the retainer is cheap. Dr. Brent told me the retainer is not cheap and I do not know what I'm talking about, that I just wanted to get the retainer for free! Of course! The retainer did not even last for 6 months. How do I know if the 2nd retainer would be better than the first one if they use same materials. He didn't even let me speak, he told me get out of his office with very load voice. I even told him don't raised his voice on me. Dr. Brent said his been in the business for 20 yrs and he doesn't use cheap materials. But my question is why would the trainer break that easy? I don't even use the retainer to eat. If I'm not colored skin he probably wouldn't handle the situation differently. Dr. Brent handled the situation very poorly. read more

Clean office and the doctor I saw, as well as the other back office personnel were knowledgeable and nice. My issue was with the Office Manager, Marsha. I called weeks before setting an appointment to ensure that they took my insurance and during that call I was constantly spoken over, interrupted, and was finally told yes they do take veteran insurance. I thought maybe she was having a bad day, so a few days later I dropped of the pre-patient forms and asked them to make me an appointment in a few weeks. 1st red flag I received a call later stating they could not find me in the insurance group, so I copied my insurance card and e-mailed it to them. 2nd red flag When I went to my appointment, I was given a stack of forms to fill out. The same ones I delivered weeks before. This was my 3nd red flag. After the cleaning and check-up, they found some items that needed to be addressed and told me my insurance doesn't cover it. I thought that was wrong and asked them if they called, went to the provider website, and used my card information. I was told 'we did everything'. 4th red flag. It took me 20 minutes the next day to verify I was covered for the procedures they wanted to do and e-mailed them the proof. 2 days later they called and told me that I was covered and they received the wrong information. Final red flag. To me, front office staff may not do the actual work, but they have just as much of an impact on a patients view of services rendered. read more

I was there 2 months ago and left thinking I needed no further treatment. I received a referral to a new dentist. I found out I had 3 cavities that required fillings. I had had these cavities for some time. I am so disappointed in this establishment! I could have gotten in serious trouble if these teeth had not been attended to. read more

This place is a puppy mill style dentistry where the right hand has no idea what the left is doing. They wasted my valuable time twice now ( leave you sitting I a chair for thirty minutes while they jump from patient to patient) then tell you you need to make another appointment. AWFUL, my biggest regret is ever coming here. None of the many procedures that I have had done have lasted. Low quality product and sloppy dentistry. They have to pay for all the new greatest equipment some how, in my case it is to do and re do everything that was just done in a few years past. Worst Experience ever!!!! I would only recommend this office to my worst enemy. They have a shady practice. My husband went in in August. They told him they were charging him our $50 copayment and charged $600 to our debit card. Ok people make mistakes and I can give a second chance. When I went in in January for a chipped tooth. I was unable to print off the new patient paperwork because of the format they had it in online. In not so many words the office staff said I was stupid. They refured me to another office to get a root canal ( Bradford endodontics ..,,, they were great by the way). Four months later after being rescheduled I went in for my temporary crown, which I was fitted for and paid for ( $200 more than quoted price). I figured I would only have to be in there one more time then I was done and would never have to deal with them again. The next day they called and told me the dr they sent me to for the root canal had sent them a letter saying my wisdom teeth needed to be pulled in order to put on the crown. NOTHING had been said about them during the visit. I was given no options, just this has to be done . When I asked to speak to the dentist they said that wasn't possible without an appointment. I called the office that had supposedly sent over the letter, they had nothing on file stating that I needed my wisdom teeth pulled. So here I sit with a temporary crown, and out $600.Not sure what Im gonna do next , but i do know onething, I will be reporting them to the BBB. read more

Met a new hygienist yesterday. Christy was nice, extremely gentle and the whole treatment only took about thirty minutes, my appointment was at seven am, I even made it to work on time after my appt! Christy explained everything she was doing and went over every one of my questions. Dr. Martineau came in and did a short exam, he told me I need my wisdom tooth removed, OUCH! Gotta get it done :(. Great experience, and my Delta Dental policy paid 100% of the visit. read more

Finding a good dentist has always been a challenge for me so I did a lot of research before heading to this office. I went in for a routine cleaning and discovered I needed a filing. The doctor was very professional and did not keep me waiting. The hygienist was super nice and talked to me each time, making me feel comfortable. The doctor also spent time explaining all the details to me and made sure all my questions were answered. During one of our conversations, I explained that I was having problems with a tooth that another dentist had filled and that it was giving me a lot of issues. After looking at the xray of the tooth, Dr. Martineau recommended I have a crown put on it being that the filing was so large (the filing had fallen out once and now there's a gap that was causing food to get stuck in it constantly, leaving it very sensitive and uncomfortable). I agreed to get the work done and I'm very happy with the result. My husband is needing some work done so he will be going there as well. I will update on how his visit and treatment goes. read more

Let's be realistic. Honest dentist's are hard to find nowadays. Most I have seen in the area are just trying to rip you off on work you do not even need to make a quick buck. This is far from the case here. Seen both dentists here... an Uncle and nephew dental team who are both honest, straight forward, stand up guys. Not impressed with this dentist office at all. We went here for 2 years and I finally had it and found a different dentist. We've had all kinds of issues. At one point I had work done on my teeth and put the bill on a payment plan. I told the receptionist that my bank would send the check monthly before the due date (using online bill pay). They wanted my debit card on file just in case. I agreed but made it clear that they shouldn't automatically pull the money because I would be paying it. They agreed, then I was charged twice, just like I had feared was going to happen. I had to call and get the payment reversed. What a pain! I had a crown done on one of my teeth and was told that the temporary crown would stay out until they had the permanent ready. 3 days later, the temporary popped off. I called during business hours and got pushed around about it. I was told to go to CVS and get dental glue and put it back on myself, what!?! I pushed back and finally they agreed to put it back on themselves. The tech who put it back on acted like I was ridiculous for having them do it. Then the straw that broke the camel back. I had a filling come out in February. I went in, they scheduled me for a filling. I went for my filling, they said it actually needed a crown and had to reschedule. I went in for the crown, they decided that I shouldn't have the crown done while pregnant (they knew I was pregnant beforehand). I went back on May 12th (baby is 2 months old now). My appointment was at 7 a.m., at 9:15 a.m. they hadn't even started working on my tooth and said it'd be another 10 minutes of waiting. I walked out, I had had enough. I went to a different dentist this morning and they had no trouble fixing my tooth. In fact, it didn't even have to have a crown, just a filling! read more
