This one star is for the office manager. I am filing a complaint regarding the office manager's decision to charge me for my massage appointment after I had to cancel due to a last-minute emergency. I received a call from my daughter's school that she was sick, and I immediately contacted the office before my appointment time to cancel. Despite the circumstances, the office would not make an exception and still charged me for the appointment. I was also disappointed by the office manager's response, which felt cold and unempathetic. She told me that I could bring my sick daughter in with my appointment which was extremely rude. I have been a long-time customer and am enrolled in the monthly auto-pay plan, so I do not feel this is an acceptable way to treat a loyal client. I would appreciate a review of this charge and the office's cancellation policy in situations involving emergencies. read more

This is an update of my prior 3 star review which I posted a few days ago. I received a phone call from one of Dr. Martin's support staff who sincerely apologized for the lack of professional courtesy that I experienced from the front office staff that precipitated my previous review. During that call she showed genuine empathy and concern for my feelings. She added that Dr. Martin would review his expectations of customer service with the front office staff to ensure that similar occurrences would not be repeated. I was gratified by her reaching out to me in this manner. I anticipate that my next visit will be a positive one and I've amended my rating to 5 stars. read more

I have been having pain in my neck that radiates down my arm. I woke up with my middle finger swollen. He put me on a machine for 30 mins to relax my muscles and then adjusted me. My gosh my neck has never cracked so much! I felt so much relief. I had been in pain for probably about a month and half. I plan to go back for more treatment. read more

Working from home has caused me shoulder problems. I was referred to this place by a local group. My experience was nothing far from bad. Wouldn't call it horrible, but just not as it should have been. Not worth $85 for a heating pad and 3 minute check up that did nothing for my shoulder. My appointment was at 2pm, got there on time, filled out the new patient form and waited. 20 minutes later, i get called by the younger Chiropractor, not Martin. He checked my back (2 minute check) asked a few questions, wrote notes, then told me to go sit back in the office. 10 minutes later i was called, was placed in a bed face down, with a heating pad on my back, he said 10 minutes would be more than enough. I waited, 10 minutes, nothing... 20 minutes, nothing... 30 minutes... nothing, finally, 40 minutes hit, i hear the Chiropractor pass by and say " Oh damn,. that guy on the corner he has been there a long time now, lets get him off." (Safe to assume they forgot about me...) 10 minutes after that, someone assists me, tells me to go back to the front office... Calls me back 10 minutes later, to crack my back and neck, then called it a day. (If he reads this review, he will know exactly who i am...) Then they schedule another check up appointment, that costs another $85... Summary: 40 minute waiting, 40 minutes face down with a heating pad, then a total of 3 minutes with the Chiro... Did nothing for my shoulder pain, the reason i went, and the reason i told the younger Chiro that checked my spine. Not sure if they forgot about me because i look younger? For $85 not worth it. I have a heating pad at home my wife uses. Only reason i gave 2* is because the staff was nice. read more

Staff were not able to inform me that my insurance does not cover chiro, i was only informed immediately after the fact that i was seen. So i was charged in full. This is Despite my efforts of notifying the staff prior to getting service that I have a new insurance and there may be changes. I called first and informed them of my insurance change and I scheduled to come in the same day. When I went in, I gave the staff my new insurance card and info and notified them that it was changed recently. I waited in the lobby until i was called by the chiropractor, thinking i had no issues or problem with the new insurance, i went in. After i finished, staff checked again my insurance and i was told that its not covered and told me that i can Go and that theyll just call me. And now i have received a mail to pay for the full amount. Had i was informed beforehand that it was not covered, then i wouldn't have gone through with the service. I called the staff today regarding this. But they told me that it takes 1 -2 days for them to check if my insurance covers it or not. But i remember so clearly that she told me after i have finished with the service that it was not covered by my insurance, meaning she knew already that day that it wasn't covered or at least had an idea that it will not be covered. read more

Friendly, affordable, and easy to book! I have finally given in to my sciatica pain after suffering for 3 weeks and relying on ibuprofen throughout the day. I have a huge fear of any dr visit and because of that, I can honestly say I look for any reason not to return. LOL. I'll justify it in my mind. The parking was bad or the office is too hot, ANYTHING so I would not have to go back. But I could NOT find one reason not to return. Dr. Carpenter was excellent and made me feel very comfortable, the ladies at the front desk were friendly and made booking an appointment super easy, AND THE COST. My Kaiser insurance did not have chiropractic services (they do accept it as long as you have the coverage) I paid out of pocket and it was so unbelievably affordable. And I have to add, the office was very well ventilated with AC and even fans in the room. Comfort is important and this office really checked all the boxes for me. After speaking with Dr. Carpenter, I had some therapy done to relax my back a bit (it was heaven) and I went back into the room for my adjustment. Everything cracked and I instantly felt better! Like pressure lifted from my shoulders. I'm a bigger person (more to love!) and I don't imagine it's so easy to work with my body type but he got it done! And after, a nice girl came and put something cold on my lower back and worked on it a bit. 10/10! I already booked my next appointment and ready to say adios to sciatica pain. read more

I'll be honest, I put off coming to a chiropractor for years because of my own nerves despite being told I would feel better. After pulling a back muscle I decided to finally come to this office to get relief. And I'm so glad I did, the staff is very nice and professional, and listened to my concerns and the doctors put my anxieties at ease. Dr. Carpenter did an overall check up and was very thorough in explaining what he would do. After the amazing heat therapy, I met Dr. Martin and he was kind and understanding as well. The office insurance biller is incompetent. After my friend and I had our first visit 5 weeks ago, we still haven't gotten a refund from the office due to them incorrectly charging the both of us on our initial visit. We both work for the same company. She charged us their standard $70 initial office visit because she kept telling me that my insurance copay does not kick in until my deductible was met because that's "what the computer said". I told her I went to the Chiropractor across the street and it has always been a $15 copay and no deductible to meet. I would still be going to that office across the street now except they no longer accept our insurance . Right after the visit we both called our insurance separately and both representatives called the biller. After they spoke, the biller said "our insurance did not update their system that day" but yes the copay should have been $15 but she needs to wait for the EOB claim to refund us the $70 each. This biller should have taken the time to call my insurance to inquire about my copay instead of seeing on the insurance website of a deductible and assuming that chiropractic care falls under that. But she didn't and took the "easy/lazy" approach to her job. Now, after 2 weeks since my insurance paid this office for our visits as there is a EOB payment, my friend called the office for the 3rd time, spoke to the biller and she said she will look into it and call him back. She never called back and now it has been 7 days after that call and still no refund nor a call from the office. There are plenty of other chiropractic offices to choose from as going here was not worth the hassle we were put through. read more

I very much enjoyed the attention to detail when adjusting various parts of the body and stretching or massaging based on what's needed, and in a way that can actually help your pain points feel better. I have tried various other places since I have been in the IE and had yet to find a really good place to go well this is it for sure . It's always been difficult for me to find a good massage therapist who works out all your kinks. Until now!! I suffer with Migraines, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and Cervical Dextroscoliosis so my joints are very stiff and inflamed. Jasmin at Martin Chiropractic is awesome. She gives me a hurt so good massage. The next day I'm able to move around better. Jasmin is super friendly so if you feel like talking during your time go for it. I came in with lower back issues which I've dealt with for almost two years and could not pinpoint exactly what it was. Tried acupuncture , physical therapy and they all helped a bit but not to much. I finally met Yahaira I've had 4 deep tissue treatments so far and has gotten significantly better. It's not 100% yet but when I went to see Yahaira I couldn't even workout without sharp pain. Yahaira recommended to get adjustments in between the therapy with DR. Martin so I did. Now I'm doing yoga, zumba, and working out, I feeling 85% better and still have a few sessions left . FIVE well deserved stars for Dr. Martin & Staff here at this very clean and well kept office here in Chino Hills/Chino. I met Dr. Martin about 10 years ago while our son's were on the same little league team here in Chino Hills. At that time I was seeing another Chiropractor who I really was not happy with. But I continued to go to him despite his ok service. He is on Pipeline, and his name ends in sour, just saying So I decided to give Dr. Martin a shot. First of all he charged less money and did a far better job taking care of my sore area's and concerns. I went in earlier today due to an area on my upper back which went clear up to my left neck area and really hurt bad for close to 2 weeks. This was at 11:45 AM, it's now 5:30 and it feels SO MUCH better. Dr. Martin is a true Master at what he does and is great with his patients. The entire staff here is nice as well, I always deal with Johanna at the front and Noemi in the therapy area. They are both great at what they do and have been here a long time. My husband has been seeing a chiropractor for many years. When his chiropractor moved his practice out of the area he needed to find a new one closer to home. He went to Dr Martin for a routine adjustment and as a result, came out extremely messed up and crippled over, and in extreme pain. He now has missed a week of work and has not been normal since that visit. We have been driving him over an hour away every other day to see his regular Chiropractor. His regular Dr did x-rays and a few other tests to see exactly what the problem was. Thankfully the problem was discovered and he is beginning to slowly to repair the damage that was done by Dr Martin. Dr Martin never did x-rays or a thorough assessment before he start working on him. As a first time patient this should have been done! We have now spent several hundreds of dollars and loss of work because of the neglect of Dr Martin. We would not recommend him to anyone and regret ever going to him! After a few visits with Dr. Martin, Dr. Carpenter and therapy I can sleep better now. The therapist are very professional, and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable with the entire team. They do extremities (hands and feet) and are nice. I don't remember the name of the chiropractor I saw when I came by (I don't think it was Dr Martin, it seemed to be a youngish chiropractor that also works in the office. I'd never been to this office before so when I called they just scheduled me and I forget the guy's name now). He was really nice, listened to me as I told him I had something going on with my foot, and didn't charge me for a bunch of new patient or back exams since I mentioned i have a regular chiro who was just out if town at the moment. I also mentioned my body is kinda more prone to inflammation and injuries bc I have an autoimmune disease and he seemed somewhat knowledgeable about that topic as well. He did an overall adjustment on my foot focusing on the outer side where the pain was, but unfortunately when he adjusted my ankle he did so by pulling on my leg and it flared up my sciatica for a couple days on that side. It also didn't relieve the specific pain in my foot unfortunately. [Two days later, I threw my lower back out pretty bad shoveling dirt. Not sure if it's related or not.] So now with my foot and back hurt I made an appointment to see my regular chiro at healthsource in mira loma, and in the mean time did a deep dive on google. I concluded I probably had "cuboid syndrome" and when I went to my guy, he said I was likely right, did a much gentler adjustment focusing on the cuboid and keeping my back safe (and later I went back for a spine adjustment as well). I'm grateful that Martin Chiropractic was a kind experience, but ultimately my specific extremity issue got fixed somewhere else. (My foot is like 30% better 4 days after the adjustment with my other guy, which is slower than normal but thats common for me). read more

Very disappointed with this unprofessional office. My husband came in & had a bad experience from the moment we walked in the door with the immature staff that made fun of patient's voicemail messages that they played on speaker. Dr. Carpenter was not very professional either and did not even have the courtesy to introduce himself when he came into the room. It was my husband's first time seeing a chiropractor ever. He rudely asked my husband "what's your problem?" My husband has bad head neck pain from a car accident but Dr. Carpenter didn't even seem to listen and proceeded to crack/"adjust" my husband's back & neck. He left in more pain than he went in with. Was very discouraged because I've heard lots of good things about Dr. Martin. Very disappointing. read more
