I am personally not a fan of sports activities after 5pm so the 1:15pm class is perfect for us. The instructors have all been great with the kids. I did prefer the class when it was a bit smaller but who can blame all these kids for wanting to come here! (They also added another instructor when the class got bigger.) It's not just kids running around here, they are learning real technique & get a serious workout while having fun. I definitely recommend VIGS! PS. For anyone worried about Covid they follow all reccomendations. Masks, temperature checks, distancing, & they sanitize between each session.

I have been beyond frustrated with my experience at VIGS. They have recently switched to a new…read moreonline registration system, which even their office manager admits is frustratingly difficult. Your kids are auto-enrolled in each subsequent 5-week session prior to the current session ending. They refuse to offer a refund for a 5 week session that 2 of my kids were auto enrolled in. They will not allow the payment to be applied to a different session or summer camp. Their online system does not keep track of unused sessions for make-up purposes. Customer service is not even on their radar here - staff is openly rude. Choose a better option for gymnastics for your kids! We've had a great experience at CORE Kids Academy!

Kira's always been into those tough, Japanese-inspired cartoon characters...no Barbies for her. They teach all kinds of martial arts, and I think that's great training for kids both physically and mentally. And these days, it's also smart for everyone to have some self-defense training. I was thinking about trying it, but I don't think I can raise my legs that high. After all, the movies were about the "karate kid", not the out-of-shape karate grown-up.

I have never been more concerned for the safety and wellbeing of the children at this facility…read more There is favoritism among the children, unprofessional staff, low staff but they have their "Enroll now" sign up and putting more stress on the staff by maxing out their capacity. They have a "cut-off" time to check in at 9am, they will not let you enter the classroom past this time. The food is garbage, oatmeal every day, no utensils for the older kids. The leaders don't care about your children, they just want your money. They try to find ways to send the children home early (based off a couple other parents I have spoken to). One of the staff members are very aggressive physically with the "more difficult" kids and when they don't listen or are having a hard time. I absolutely want you to be aware of this before considering enrollment

This is not a machismo factory but instead a thoughtful study of karate. They meet you where you are, but more importantly for me the dojo is incredibly understanding that I'm not always able to make it to classes with the regularity I want all times of the year. The school, and Sensei Issac especially, embodies the tenets of friendship, cooperation, and learning. Going to class is a highlight of my week.
