Love this place ! The churro cheesecake is amazing ! And the garden section is so beautiful to walk through !

Martha's Bloomers is a combination knickknack, garden supply and restaurant. The restaurant is located way in the back through the shop. The meal began with a complementary demitasse of orange spice tea and a small piece if a scone. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with potato salad ($15) and a pot of Earl Grey tea ($5). The sandwich was great with the right proportion of meat, cheese and sauerkraut. The potato salad was heavy on potato and little else and no seasoning. I should have opted for the chips. Service was good and responsive and the atmosphere is bright, airy, and cheerful. Worth a try. read more

Really adorable place with a decent menu. Loved the ambience and service. Sandwiches were good and prices were reasonable. We enjoyed strolling around their gardens and our girls had fun taking photos in the area. I didn't pay attention to their plant variety, but they seemed to have plenty of options. Their gift shop is super cute with plenty of small gifts to choose from. The only thing I didn't like is the tea they were offering. The tea itself had a great taste. However, it wasn't a freshly brewed tea. They sell it in a bag, kind of like a kool-aid powder. The ingredients were not the best with Sucralose, dextrose, cane sugar and lots of artificial dyes. That was somewhat of a let down. Overall, it was a great experience. We will definitely be going back. read more

Everything! The food was delicious and flavourful. Our server was so kind. It was affordable and super clean. The place itself was so homey and beautiful. It felt like I time traveled to a 2000s coffee shop. Such a hidden gem and a new favourite place of mine. read more

I love coming here! It is the perfect environment for a garden lover! I'm giving 4 stars for the reasons you'll see below. The Cafe: The lunch here is AMAZING!!! The food is fresh and delicious. I ordered the Martha's Bloomers Special. It comes with a half a sandwich (I had the ham and swiss), a cup of soup and a salad. Try Estella's Strawberry Salad. It is SO good, I'm making it at home! The tomato soup is also very good. I love the chunks of tomato. My other half ordered Bonnie's New York Reuben and loved it! The homemade chips are delicious! My only recommendation to the manager is to make sure your employees smile and pay more attention to their customers. Our server has frequently disappeared when we visit. The Gift Shop: They have a nice selection of gifts. Holiday items, honey, cookware, soaps and more. It's just a little pricy. The Garden Center: They have a wonderful selection of plants, herbs and more. There is pottery and decorative items for your garden. They also carry dirt and fertilizers. I love wandering around in garden area when I visit. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Martha's Bloomers. Be sure to check the hours for the Cafe, as they are closed on Mondays and have limited hours on the days they are òpen. You won't be disappointed! read more

Martha's Bloomers - Bonnie's New York Reuben - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Navasota, Texas

I have ALWAYS ( over 17 years) received excellent customer service from everyone at this grower/event center/garden center/wildlife viewing area/educational outlet who specializes in local native plants and just So Much More! the place has a HUGE footprint and a truly sprawling indoor/outdoor nursery that will make you want to linger for hours. it truly is a plant lovers paradise and destination. the gift ship has so much to offer also, the diversity of beautiful things offered are so fun to see. This week I was helped to make my spring plantings by one of the staff "Will", he is a plant savant, and what he does not know, he WILL, little pun there, find out. he is so knowledgeable and friendly and hard working a pro! Kathy and company at the counter are also just a wealth of information and help and kindness. this is why year after year I return to Martha's for my growing needs. attention to customers, wide variety of absolutely anything that can grow in this area, and the PEOPLE! well done. read more

I purchased a tomato plant that was labeled Black Krim. What I have growing is a small orange cherry tomato. I have no idea what variety it is and I absolutely did not want a cherry tomato. Very disappointed. Not worth the drive. read more

I believe this place has some serious potential as a successful business. When I initially walked in I was in so much love with the display of Ethiopian/Indian wind chimes, I wanted them all!!! After perusing the many isles of teas, coffee, indoor/outdoor southern/modern charm, I found the outdoor plants... What made this place a disappoint was 3 things for me; 1) no list or directions as to where certain types of plants are located 2) no available or trained help to assist you 3) the pile of junk that was listed as the green house read more

We loved Martha's Bloomers! The tea room was SO good, and the waitress was wonderful. First time there...and we will be back! The food is fresh and plentiful. I got the daily quiche, and was really good. Also, the scones and tea was a wonderful nice surprise. read more

I always enjoy my lunch so much. You start with scones and tea (complimentary). I had the Mediterranean wrap, my husband had a turkey sandwich on the best homemade bread. My daughter likes the Jr plate with grilled cheese. Everything is always delicious and service is good too. The shop up front has great items and plants too. Everyone loves coming here. read more

From the outside from the parking lot, at first glance the landscape looks pretty and promising. The plant selection is subpar to any other place I have gone to, even Lowe's has them beat. Pot selection is ok, some nice looking pots but very expensive! I don't know why they are over priced. My perspective is from a plant enthusiast looking to buy plants and pots. Would not recommend until they upgrade their selection. There is potential with the land they have but it is just being used as storage for random stuff it seems... there is a cafe tea room thing in the back that I don't care to try since it seems like it is for older women, vegans, and the British, I would try it if they start serving fried anything or bbq read more

I was visiting in the area with my wife and wanted to look at a garden shop. Once we found out that there was a café connected with it we stopped and had lunch. The selection of food is good and the portions are huge! Big enough to share. The wait time for our table in foods arrive was very short and everything was satisfactory. read more

Quaint atmosphere perfect for a girl's luncheon. The orange spice tea (a house specialty )and homemade scones they bring out for free taste amazing! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because homemade bread would elevate the taste of the sandwiches. The lemon cream pie for dessert had the perfect amount of lemon flavor. If you are a tea fan, you should definitely try this place! read more

Despite what other reviews say- I had a great customer service experience. A very kind greeting upon entrance, and an immediate response on a inquiry of price for an outdoor item without needing to check. This tells me they know the products which I very much appreciate. The price point is higher as others have mentioned, but indoor selection of gifts was great. The plant selection was less than stellar and definitely has room for improvement. Types of plants being labeled as annual, perennial, etc is lacking and there aren't any houseplants aside from pothos. Houseplants are often where some serious money is, especially being so close to a college town. But with the other prices, I'd presume they'd be overpriced as well to the point they wouldn't be sold well, which might be why they aren't there in the first place. Overall, it was a cool spot to see, but not somewhere I'd spend the money as I can find the same brands elsewhere for a better price. read more

My husband and I took his sister out for a nice lunch at this café. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Each dish was delicious and presented based. Staff was very friendly and courteous. We also enjoyed the tea and the scones that were given to us. There was one person in particular that did it and outstanding job. His name is Rodney. He went above and beyond to help us have a nice time. He even helped us out to the parking lot. I highly recommend this place and Rodney. read more

I've always enjoyed Martha's bloomers- such a cute ambiance. The service is slower and you probably will have a wait for a table because it's super popular. But the servers are super friendly- everyone who works there has been. Definitely appeals to the older crowd and more women than men. If you do have to wait, there's plenty to look at in the shop or the plant nursery :) the food is good and comes with complimentary tea and a pastry! read more

This is such a lovely place to have lunch! Its not for men. Its a tearoom. Beautifully decorated and always such great waitstaff. The sandwiches and soups are so yummy! Not to mention the complimentary tea and shortbread that you get upon arrival. My Mom & I love the leisurely drive to Navasota to have lunch on weekends and then after lunch there is the lovely store to browse through. I love the cats that roam the property. Take your Moms, girlfriends, they will love it! read more

Loved the tea room. The food was delicious and a fun experience. I can't wait to go back. The gift shop is great, too!

Loved the menu, the quaint business, the plants, and the staff. Large portions of great sandwiches. Good variety and the desserts were delicious. Worth the trip. A small place, but a nice drive for lunch outing. Don't expect big business, but do expect cute and reasonable with a quaint atmosphere. read more

Such a cute place and love that it's part of a nursery/gift shop. Really adds to its appeal. Our food was good and I enjoyed my tea. Some of their options are a little confusing, such as the "Mediterranean wrap" that includes avocados and ranch dressing, in addition to a balsamic dressing. The dressing was pretty heavy as well and overwhelmed the wrap. Would have loved more vegetarian options or options that could easily be made plant based. Overall we enjoyed our experience and the staff was super sweet and accommodating. read more

Martha's Bloomers came highly recommended by my boss, so we decided to check it out. My friend is a bona fide tearoom freak, so I knew she would love it. We got there, looked around in the little store and garden, and then made our way back to the restaurant part. We waited. And waited. And waited. No one was at the host stand, there were people waiting, and we weren't sure what the heck was going on. Finally, at least fifteen minutes later (not even exaggerating), a very frazzled lady walked into the waiting room. She basically ignored the three of us, and we had to tell her that we needed to get on the wait list. She said it would be 15-20 minutes. Ugh. Of course. We should've just left at that point. Thirty minutes later (at least - again, not exaggerating) we saw people that walked up after us get seated. That was it. We had wasted 45 minutes just trying to get seated at 2 pm on a Friday! Come on! We walked back up to the room, and were ignored again. She finally spoke to us and said, "You're next on the list to be seated, I'm the only one hosting and cleaning up tables today". Sorry, but not my problem. Having worked in a restaurant and retail, I'm pretty forgiving - but I have my limits. Then, not 5 minutes later, she calls out for *another* party. My friend gave her the look from hell, and the lady had the cojones to say, "You're next". Hello? She continued the death ray glance and the lady finally gave in and seated us. Seriously. What a bunch of crap. THEN, we finally got a waitress (after watching others that came in after us be helped) and they were out of basically everything we wanted. If you're out of things, you should probably erase the menu off of the chalkboard outside of your restaurant. We all ended up getting the same thing, something we knew would be simple and quick to get to our table. Whatever. The food was okay, prices weren't too bad, but we should have cut our losses and left when we were ignored for the first 15 minutes to even get on the list. Won't be going back. read more

Well, were do i start? For quite some time i have been wanting to take the drive out to the country to see the blooming flowers along the road but more so to visit Martha's Bloomers.I checked out the web site and was pleasantly surprised that Sundays they served Brunch.Upon arrival at the cafe' a nice couple advised us to take a seat and wait for the hostess to be seated in the dining room. After some time, hungry and unwilling to wait further we marched in. It didn't get better! The coffee was of the night before, unfortunately we overheard the conversation among the staff and the salad with microwaved chicken is horrendous! The owner came out and told us that they had been slammed the night before and the kitchen was off due to playing catch up! What about the FROZEN chicken on a salad? Yuck! What a disappointment! Super cute place though! read more

Very fancy place I don't understand why you can't use the same fork you have to have two forks but ok And you guys would probably have more business there if you serve something else besides tea and salads there is this amazing thing called options were not everything on the menu is Tea and salads put some other stuff on your menu like steak or mac & cheese or other stuff that won't make you guys look like a bunch of stupid vegetarians read more

Re: The Tearoom. Ate there yesterday and we had one pleasant waitress for fourteen people. Some of the dishes got mixed up but no big deal she handled it okay. The sandwiches that were ordered were enjoyed by everyone that did so. However, the salads which were touted as large by the waitress were spartan especially when you consider the $9.00+ charge. I ordered what would be called a chef salad elsewhere and got about 2 oz. of meat. I ordered it without cheese and thought they would put a little more meat on it in place of the cheese. Orange spiced tea and scone on table is a nice touch. I'd return again but go with a sandwich next time. read more

Having read much about Martha's Bloomers, we took the drive up from Houston, which is pleasant. The entrance is inviting, and it's easy to find. We were very disappointed with the selection and quality of plants. Houston Garden Centers has them beat. The greenhouse was virtually empty and unkempt. The tree selection was very small, ditto on the fruit trees. The gift shop did have a nice selection of items. We did not try the tea shop. There is so much potential at Martha's, we were very disappointed. read more
