We did a trial prior to the wedding day and even though I know nothing about hair or makeup she was able to capture what I envisioned. At her recommendation I got extensions for my wedding day, but even at the trial she was able to transform my sad thin hair into beautiful Hollywood waves. Day of, Jessica and Heather (the second artist she found for us to get everything done in a timely manner) were a dream team and were very kind and patient with our *ahem* less than easy family members. Everyone looked absolutely stunning and everyone's hair and makeup stayed intact all night! It's the best I've ever looked and very likely the best I'll look for the foreseeable future. JoAnn took her time and in no way rushing in styling an updo for me and also with my girlfriend that worked very well with our preferred hairstyles.  Also, based on her expertise, she suggested hairstyles best suited to our face shapes, which was in sync with our chosen styles. When it came to make-up makeover, this took about an hour & a half for each of us to be completed.   It began with the prepping of my facial skin and the same as with the hairstyles, she never rushed.   She made me and my girlfriend as glamorous but in a soft and natural glam ways.  Our morning appointment with JoAnn started first thing in the morning and ended about 5 hours for 2 people.   Our make-up stayed the whole day and night,  never been retouched but looking moist, luminous, and radiant.   We received compliments from other wedding guests with our updo and make-up.   Thank you JoAnn for making our day no stress and looking glamorous!

Becoming blond can be tricky because with my tan colored skin, too light blond will look too fake while orange makes it look a little too Oompa Loompa. I had another hairdresser in LA do an amazing job, but after moving to the IE I needed to find someone closer. I went to a stylist before Alexis who made my hair a very light blond that did not go well with my complexion. After doing some research, I found Alexis who said she can help me achieve my hair goals. Alexis takes her time in coming up with the right color combination. I reached out to Cristina four times via email and never heard back. I was honestly very frustrated given I really wanted to book with her and I couldn't. We used precaution since my hair is extremely curly and frizzes easily, so there are extensions in there for the style longevity.
